I don't hate Kelly, but yeah, I'll joke about her. I don't even honestly think she's the origin of the varren disease--though she could've slept with someone who was, natch.

You can seriously snap at her to back off of Garrus? Heh. I've been playing my Spacer/Ruthless paragon too much (she feels extreme guilt over what had to be done at Torfan and she's been trying to make up for it ever since--it's also made her see the need to become allies with the aliens so that such incidents become less common). At the time, I didn't think Garrus was romanceable (hadn't read any spoilers or anything about ME2), so I thought, "Hey, that's an odd thing she's saying there, but sure, Julia would be happy to be a shoulder for Garrus." Then I got the "cute couple" remark--still didn't think you could romance Garrus, of all people. Just thought Kelly was being Kelly. I laughed at the whole thing. Of course you can imagine my surprise when the "we could relieve some stress together" dialogue option came up later on... How forward of you, Shepard.

As to Garrus being a turian version of a playboy... I dunno.  He's probably slept with more than that one turian (unless he remembered her so fondly because she was his first), but it's clear to me at least that he hadn't been in any serious relationship before--or if he were, then it failed miserably.  I think he'd have said something to that effect if that were the case.  That's one reason I imagine he's so nervous about Shepard, aside from the fact that she's human.  He tries to make sure she's 100% committed to this course of action before moving forward; to him, Shepard--the person he respects most in the galaxy--is potentially much more than a casual fling.  It would be difficult to view someone you respected that much as just a fling.  For Shepard... well, her view on the matter depends on her current player.  My Shepard is going to have two versions--one who romances Kaidan first because he's there and she doesn't want to be alone, and goes to Garrus later because he's just always been there and suddenly Kaiden is being a jerk; the other version won't romance Kaidan and may end up with either Garrus or Thane.  Probably Garrus.  Garrus is less emo.

I had him and Kaiden.  Garrus told me it was more practical to let them die.

I disagreed.

Yeah, for the ME1 final decision the squad's stance changes on who you bring with them. Bringing Wrex and Ashley, I've always had Garrus telling me to save the Council.

I'm actually glad that Donnely isn't the male version of Kelly. Why? Because as soon as it was mentioned my mind flashed to a skimpily clothed Donnely dancing in your quarters. I did not need that.

I would love to ask Kelly about all her conquests. That is when I warm up to her.

That would be both hilarious and disturbing.

I'd have blown off steam with Kenneth in a heartbeat, he reminds me of a cross between Scotty and Dr. Carson Beckett. Mmm.

This thread is pissing me off, I should stop reading it.

Wow. Just look at that big, odd tree.

Hahaha... <3 :D  the thread was pissing me off too, but I vented my 2 cents worth (and after edting it 3 times it turned it something postable and logical rather than a test of the filters :P) and then I came back here and saw the pretty tree and now I'm good again because people are not all big odd trees ^_^

...but really, Turians and condoms? Are we suspecting Garrus of having the scale itch? tsk tsk :P I'm guessing they would probably need to be, uhm, extra sturdy though

I just left a little message from Garrus over on that thread.  It seemed appropriate.  (hint, IT'S JAZZ BABY!)

But I still think it's lame his light romance got cut. XD

I always finished ME1 with Garrus and Wrex, and it was also Wrex who was against saving the Council and Garrus in favor.
I somehow cannot reproduce it, but I know I got a line from Garrus that indicated to me that he wanted the Coll. base blown up, might have been in the context, though... I've not tried picking the choice that indicates thinking about possibly leaving it for TIM because I didn't think I had in my first playthrough, but it's possible that I did just to try and get a bit more info on TIM's evil plan... I'll have to try that next time and see if I get the line back. Legion points out that the base is neither good nor evil on its own when I indicate a tendency to blowing it up (which I suppose is pro keeping it, but I always think "maybe it's not, but TIM is" :P *boom*)

As for sleeping turians... I think they would be able to sleep on their backs with a really fluffy/squishy pillow, but that may be based on a faulty assumption as I assume the fringe is cartilage. Otherwise they probably sleep on the side since they do seem to have or be able to sleep in "normal" beds.

Oh and before I forget:
@koucha ... Awesome pic!!

....omg.

Almost choked on my food, again.  You know, this thread.  You guys are a hazard to my health.  Just so you know, when you haven't seen me for a while, when I stop coming here:  It's because I choked to death on my breakfast or something due to your goddamn hilarious comments and images. I hope you're happy.

Garrus did seem to want the base blown up and initially I was going to do it. TIM just had a good point. We might need it in case they will come back, and I'm not going to pretend I'm the Turian Councilor. I know they'll come back, so I need this weapon. I don't need it so much for humans as I need to find a way to give all the species this tech so they can protect themselves as well.

Come ME3 I know I might end up fighting Reapers and Cerberus, I'm not lying to myself.

Woah wait what? Skantily clad dancing in a kilt? With warpaint?... I support Donnely for LI in ME2 DLC  Okay, you got me... I have a thing for men in kilts :P

The images. The images! ::brain scrub::

I wasn't really attracted to Kenneth's physical appearance (as I've said before, humans in ME look kind of wonky), but imagining him as Carson Beckett or the new Simon Pegg Scottie... My Shep would totally go for that.

An accent makes anything better.  Same with turian flanging.  <3

Oh, as for turians and how they sleep...

You got me there. Their legs still bug the hell out of me. How are they supposed to get pants, let a lone ARMOR on with any sort of SPEED! I mean... like... /boggle.

They look like an artist thing... not a functional thing.

To the people that responded to my "Turians and Condoms" post: I was going to quote one of the fake advertisements you guys wrote and say something like "I'm Commander Shepard, and this is my favorite condom commercial." But they were all good. I got a good laugh, thank you~

When Kenneth asked if I wanted to play poker I thought there was going to be a strip poker option.

Kenneth: Do ye play Poker Commander?

Shep: No, not really. I'm not very good at it.

Kenneth: That's alright lass I can teach ya.

Gabby: Oh God, here we go. Kenneth, what makes you think Shepard's gonna fall for that?

Kenneth: It worked on ye didn't it?

My Shep figured if TIM magically had all this data about the place to say how I can clean it out without destroying it in real time, EDI would have by now collected a whole lot more. Enough to build anti-Reaper stuff with Mordin super-brain on my side :P Actually, I figured keeping it and letting TIM get his hands on it meant I'd be saving the galaxy just so it could go to hell by ****** TIM making reapers out of people/aliens and thinking he could control them... God knows who all he'd liquidate for his goals... No point saving the galaxy just to turn it into a place I'd purge back into the stone age myself... I dunno, guess I figured some things are just too dangerous to keep around for any reason... the road to hell is paved with good intentions and all that.

And of course, I'd been waiting all game to tell TIM to stick it where the sun don't shine

It is time to steal back ME 1 from my friend then, mass effect 2 makes me want to play the first one differently just to see what would happen.
