So when he's armed and dangerous, he's being metal.  When he's unarmed, he's full of love and amazing.

Not that he's not metal (his skin passively is, TRUTH) and full of love and amazing all of the time.  That'd be ridiculous. 

Garrus makes more sense than anyone ever.

The only real fight I think *might* makes sense in the LI confrontations would be cheating on Liara. The romance with her never really ended or was put on hold, unlike Ashley and Kaidan's. And she went through all that bother to save you. Considering vengeful she is against the Shadow Broker, well...she may have strong reactions to Shepard finding someone else.



As for Ashley and Kaidan, I could see them as starting out mild, but only starting a fight if someone makes a comment the other takes offense to. Ash and Kaidan don't really have a right to start a fight, imo.

Yes, this is exactly why I'm not sure about Liara. She went through all that trouble to get your body and to get you back. I guess we'll just have to see what happens.

Either way, I'm still doing a single Shep ME1 PT so I'll have at least one safe variant of me

I'll agree that I have a hard time seeing Kaidan getting resentful about Garrus. He has a temper, that's for sure, but it's more of a slow, burn to the surface, and then release it all at once sort of thing. He doesn't really seem the type to hold grudges for a long time.



For Liara, I'd have initially expected her to simply be let-down and sad, but her development in ME2 points to a potentially much, much different reaction, as Collider points out.



Going off-topic a bit, for non-female LIs with Ashley... it's hard to tell. She's definitely a long burn type and given her history I can see her holding a grudge. It's also hard for me to tell if she'd be more angry if your romance Miranda or Tali. Miranda's a person I think that she would naturally clash with, even if there wasn't an LI conflict at work, On the other hand, I can see her being very upset (even if her exophobia is blown completely out of proportion by the Ash-haters) that Shepard would choose an alien over her.

That might depend on whether you made her paragon or renegade, if either, Nivenus. Realistically, though, Ashley may just go one path without them writing the scene differently based upon how you mentored Ashley. I don't know how she would react. Without mentoring her to paragon, I could definitely see her as disliking or disbelieving that you went with an alien. I can Ashley, if there are any fights with Ashley, fighting with Miranda just as they seem aligned to do so, especially considering Miranda's ties to Cerberus. I don't have to worry about Ashley or Liara though! Not my types.
