Shepard: You survived a gunshot wound to the head?
Zaeed: Yeah. And you survived your entire ship getting disintegrated. A stubborn enough person will survive just about anything. Rage is a hell of an anasthetic.
....
Shepard: Garrus, seems like you'd have something to contribute. Rocket to the face, and all? Blue Suns mortal enemies, etc, etc.
Garrus: Waterfalls are pretty.
But yes, this survivor thing is silly. Silly and unpatriotic, dammit! (no matter where you hail from)

I've been lurking for the past few days, and I finally created an account just so I can join in on the Garrus love!
My younger brother got me into the game (I've only watched him play the first one, and then by the time the second game came out, I was totally psyched). We already knew that Garrus was a LI before we got the game, and we were so excited! I would get a chance to romance the epicness that is Garrus, and my brother was hoping to have his epic bromance with him. We were a bit disappointed in his lack of dialogue (damn you high maintenance Thannix Cannons!), but we are hoping to see a lot more of him in the next game.
Speaking of epic, that first post is an amazing source of Garrus-y goodness.

That being said, I've been voting for zombie Kaidan ever since Morinth was off'd. In my latest ME1 playthrough, LT was definitely Virmired. Him being alive on the island with Shepard is freaking him out. Though...perhaps he's just a hallucination...in which case I should have been voting for one of the more unstable squad mates or the Geth. Or Miri for killing Jack. I'm bitter. Which would eventually lead to me voting for Garrus for killing Tali.
I know we're done talking about Halo but I have a deep love and respect for that series. People don't like to admit it or even like the series due to its popularity (and let's face it...it did not age well) but it was the most revolutionary FPS at the time of its release. Correct me if I'm wrong, but on-hand grenades did not exist in a FPS before Halo. However, I do not seek to change anyone's mind about it, I am content knowing how I feel about the series. I would encourage anyone that hasn't played it to play the first game just for the sake of being a gamer.
And Flammie...I do often imagine you as a Chicken with a British accent (actually, with Zaeed's voice, hilariously enough). The school girl outfit has made this imagery complete.
By the by, Garrus.

I cannot bring myself to vote for Wrex. I would vote for Shep (not an option lol) before I vote for Wrex. After all, that's how he survived Virmire.

I don't know about non-human biotics eating patterns, but krogan are big so I think they'll eat a lot when they get the chance.

Redundant nervous system: would tickling even work?
Good luck, fishy! Nite, Cerrydd.
I should also be asleep. This forum has ruined my sleep patterns!
Dammit, Garrus. Why are you so damn addictive?
Edit: Welcome, -M-.
Nite all.

Got my fingers crossed for your fishy, Cerrydd. And welcome to the thread, -M-. Enjoy all of the sweet Garrus action and camaraderie.
On the poll side... I'm just telling myself to hate the haters and not their character of choice. BUT IT'S SO HARD.

But, no. Garrus would win that fight. For Garrus is Omega Batman, and Batman always wins.
Achievement Unlocked: Brofisted 9000 GP
curses, im forced to choose between two of my three favorite video game character (the other one is falco lombardi from the starfox)
Im so gonna go all conrad verner on the guy/girl that started talking about halo;)
Idk.. I wouldn't count the Arbiter out. After all, he is pretty freaking amazing, what not with his epic powning of brutes and flood. But nonetheless, it would be an intense fight. And I really don't know who'd the winner would be.
And Garrus is in no shape or form like batman, because batman fails at life on so many levels it's ridiculous...
Garrus is just naturally awesome
But I was thinking about it and I came to the realization that the Arbiter and Garrus are very similar to each other. Like it's weird if you think about it. Both take full responsibility for past actions, both had their lives go up in flames, both got sick of the established hierarchy, both are passionate and driven to make a difference in the universe, and they're both freaking awesome.
In fact, the more I think about it and the more I play the original (and the best) Halo, I see tons of parallels. But I'm just glad there's no freaking flood in ME... I'd take husks over flood anyday XD It's just weird to finally see that my two favorite games are similar. Guess that's why I love Mass Effect so much! Well the second reason besides the fact that Garrus is in it
As for the girl who brought up Halo.. That would be me. It's like one of the greatest games in existence. Plus it was the game where I found out that I'm naturally lethal and skilled with a gun . But please no autographs =P

I have never played Halo. Am I a bad person now?
.
If you ask me I'd say it's better to not have played halo well at least the multiplayer. That's the game that made me quit shooters and go to RPGs. It just has the biggest collection of morons, perverts and cheaters of any game ever made. Besides it's not as long or as interesting as Mass Effect.
lol. I had a brief liason with Halo after hearing about how it is 'TEH BEST GAME EVAR!' from, well, everyone. I'm not a massive FPS person to begin with (moar story, pls?), but I found the online componant of it to be just awful. Like, really, really irritiating. (espeically if you are a girl - all you get is "Oh, you're such a boy pretending to be a girl. You have a stupid high voice. You're gay, you are." etc, etc. It's terrbily depressing. )Moreover, whenever you actually play well and kill someon, they down your rep and spam you hate-msgs. Some of the spamming that goes on borders on impressive: I was once forced to listen as 2 (I assume teenaged) guys 'masterbated' throughout a playthrough. Now I'm fairly sure they were just hitting their microphones weirdly, but either way they kept this up for the best part of an hour. That is stamina no matter which way you throw it! lol
I switched onto the single player, but the lack of interesting story (plus the fact that is is a crazy short game, which gets frustratingly repetitve) made me think 'meh.' I am not a Halo person. lol But, each to their own. What makes me laugh is the amount of people who have re-recommended it to me since ME2 came out (But you love Mass Effect 2, so if you like shooters, you'll love the best shooter ever!). Maybe it's 'cos I'm an RPGer, but I've always seen ME as an RPG game at it's core, with the combat containing lots of strong shooter elements. I realise that there are lots of people (in my experience, more FPSers) who view ME as a shooter with elements of RPG in it. I think that's why it has such wide appeal. However, it's worth remembering this whenever someone recommends a game to you on the basis that you like Mass Effect: which side of the lien do they fall? lol 9incidenrtly, this is also where a lot of the tension comes in between players griping that there isn't enough character based stuff for an RPG, vs the people who complain that the combat is 'too easy'. They are comparing it to two different game types)
!
Yeah people in Halo can be pretty weird. Girls in halo or in most multiplayer games are rare. Those people think that video games were made for males. I don't see how anybody could think that way. Just look at ME2 with so many options for both genders and with so many fans of both genders. I like Halo's single player, I have all 3 games but unfortunately the quality of the single player goes down each time you go up a game. Halo 1 had a very good story and the best single player out of the 3. I would play them more often just for the SP but I burned them out a long time ago. That is not up to my standards, with Mass Effect I almost played an year without stopping at least once a week, I would have played it for an entire year if my old stupid xbox wouldn't have died. It was also too bad that it took me so much time to realize female characters are so much fun to play as otherwise I would have had more than the 2 I have now.
As for ME2, I've been doing lots of interesting things lately. Thanks to the save editor that allows modding on the 360 I've been changing lots of stuff and have been accesing unacessible hair styles and eye colors. I wonder if Garrus likes girls with yellow eyes.

Mass Effect is actually the first shooter game that I really played because the version I have is for the PC. I realized when I tried my hand at the first Mass Effect game on the 360, my aiming was horrible.
By the way, have you guys ever seen this image?
It looks like an artist's interpretation of how Turian facial bone structure would be. Kind of creepy, but kind of cool.
