But can Krogan Monopoly Guy really compete with Mr. Peanut Shepard in this pic?

And so this is Garrus-related, I'll ask a(n unrelated) question I've been meaning to ask anyway: who posted that pic of Garrus and Tali dancing, Rogers and Astaire-style? Anyone know the one I mean? I want that pic! :D

Polite Krogan was the best "have a pleasant day". As for my favorite race, it's the Turians if that wasn't apparent enough already.

I'm pretty sure that the genophage was the idea of some one named Bob.

Anyway, time for bed. My friend is sleeping on the couch and she might try playing ME2 tomorrow. I want to be awake when that happens.

Goodnight all!

It was those dam Salarians, it was there fault what happen to the Krogans and even Mordin admits it. That takes a quad to do what Mordin says.

Heres a piece of a little something I'm righting. Thoughts and would you like to see more.
-------------------------------------------------------------
Shepard: We are going to be droped into the heart Geth territory.
Garrus: The dossier says Tali is held up in a small settlement on Haestrom.
Jacob: If were going in to Geth territory there’s goanna be a ****load of them.
Shepard: More like ten ****loads.
Grunt: Then we won’t run out of targets.

eta:  I know, I know...it's been brought up before, so don't hit.  I just can't help but wonder what animals are native to Palaven and if any are kept as pets.  That pic of Garrus and Batman-Puppy made me wonder anew :P

The Krogans keep Varren as pets. I think for any advanced civilization you could potentially have pets since intelligence and art seems to lend itself to that. As for the native life of Palaven, apparently life tends to have tough plating on them in order to withstand the radiation that Palaven has. Makes more sense if you've seen the Turian concept art.

Actually, I think you can guarantee that turians have some kind of domesticated animal. Unless Palaven is really, incredibly different with their ecology and gets to skip steps, domesticating animals is necessary for a society to build. A society starts in the hunter-gatherer stage (hunting and...you know, gathering), moves to horticultural (harvesting plants, but not really controlling their growth), and then agricultural (TOOLS. Every one of you owes your existence to the invention of the plow. You can't support a large population without food, and you can't grow a large volume of food without some kind of 'automation': plows and oxen/cows/horses), then industrial (machines and stuff). Even if early turian society was primarily hunter-based (apex predators, after all), you just can't get enough food from hunting armored gazelles or whatever they have to support a large population, and you'd most certainly NEED a large population to be a competitor on your own planet, let alone on the galactic stage.

...so can you tell I just got out of my sociology class?

No I agree moonboots, I've also taken similar courses. I think we're talking more personal pets (such as a parrot), though.

Did someone say PARROT??

/resists nearly overpowering urge to repost Zaeed pirate pic again :P

but yeah, really anything...I wonder what sort of uses turians would have for domesticated animals. Their inspiration among actual terrans included the ancient Romans...what did they have, just horses?

Domestication leads to 'companionship' animals--just look at dogs--so I'd also bet on yes. They might have a somewhat less overtly-lovey relationship than we often have (though it's important to remember that turians are generally only hardasses when it comes to the job--they might not care if you 'dawwwww' over your armored dog like a goof unless you're skipping work for your armored dog). Actually, now that I think of it, turians really dig responsibility. Pets might be an important part of their growing up (having to feed and take care of an animal prepares you to have someone depend on you).

I'd imagine Turians having iguanas or something like that. Those are my personal tastes if I'd have any pets.

Yeah enormousmoonboots, you're right...as long as they didn't miss work or something on account of the pets, they shouldn't care at all. Play with those (turian equivalent of dogs) on your off-hours, and no worries! :)

Apart from its 15cm long, i have no idea. I'm more curious on what kind of ceremony they use it on.
