I hate that stupid survivor thread. Garrus would never eat someone's brain.

Unless He became a zombie.

This is... not inaccurate.
Wait, so was Garrus killed in that thing yet? First Tali, then Wrex and now Garrus? Whoever's voting has no taste in awesome characters. <_<

Pretty much.  They are leaving their bros for their girlfriends.  For shame.

"No! I must win" he shouted

The radio said "No, Garrus. You are the loser"

And then Garrus was a zombie.

Considering Tali, Garrus, Thane, and Jack are the only acceptable LIs? Pretty much.

Garrus couldn't eat the brain of anybody on the Normandy, except Tali. Dextro, remember? Levo brains are all wrong.

Do brains even have protein? Tests.
THAT LAST LINE WASN'T SUSPICIOUS AT ALL.

OH MY GOD, GUYS, DO TURIANS BLUSH BLUE?!

Logic suggests that they do, but I don't know if their skin is thin enough for a blush to show.

My god, aznsoisauce, that's brilliant. The images are now perfectly acceptable to the general public! Why, I would feel comfortable with my hypothetic children viewing these!

(man, I just don't get this forum censor. You can't quote the actual M-rated game that you must own to post here...? Whatever.)

Think of the Flammies.

That was a joke if you want to moan at me about being too young to get this game or other such argument. I don't really mind the swearing, anyway. It's not as if I've not heard it before. Repeating it isn't exactly going to change me.

But, yeah, logic suggests they would, but we don't know much about turians, their skin may be too thick for a blush to show, as said, or it could even be possible that turians don't even vasodilate. We don't know if they're warm or cold blooded, and apart from sweating, we don't know about turian homeostasis.

...Bioware will probably never put this much thought into the races.

...This isn't me.

Actually, thinking about it, the plating on his face probably wouldn't show any color, but the skin on his neck might (dunno about you guys, but I turn red from the shoulders up). I like the mental image of Garrus getting embarrassed and Shep going "JESUS CHRIST, your neck is turning blue! Are you choking?! Lemme call Chakwas--!"

e: Flammie, I think we can be sure that turians are warm-blooded. Every other major galactic player is, a cold-blooded race would be unusual enough to be mentioned. Also, cold-blooded creatures can't maintain the same energy output warm-blooded ones can (uhh I think I'm saying this totally wrong, it's been way to long since high school biology). And Garrus's Noveria reaction was 'this is uncomfortable', not 'THIS COULD KILL ME'. If the drell, a species based on desert lizards, are warm-blooded, I think we can guarantee that turians are.

I haven't seen myself blush or get red-faced or anything similar, actually. I obviously don't do enough to exert myself. Or I try to avoid embarassment far too much.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure their warm blooded, but you never know. Bioware doesn't give us very much Biology.

I haven't studied cold blooded, yet, but from what I remember of my reptile obsession, they become inactive/dead if they're too cold, and dead if they're too hot. Only if they're at an optimal temperature will they be able to move about and output energy best, I think.

If turians do regulate their body temperature by vasodilation, which would be what causes blushing, I think, I guess the neck would probably be the thinnest point of the body where it would show. I like that mental image, too.

Flammie, I have the the banner uploaded in my sig, that's about the size it would turn out for you. I might be able to tweak it a bit more, but at these sizes legibility can be an issue. I can also try lengthening the sig if you don't like how the text cuts over their faces...but I can't sacrifice text size much more or else legibility drops pretty badly. Thoughts?

B) I believe I will die
C) If I were green I would die
D) I'm in need of a guy

Yes, ever since I made that pic, my Ouendan/EBA obsession is seeping in.

Dammit Flammie, you talking about EBA makes me want to listen to this while doing the Collector Base mission.

I'm going to do exactly that now.

And it will be AWESOME.

By the way, Jumping Jack Flash needs to be on the "Songs to Snipe Mercenaries To" playlist. It's just that awesome.

Thanks, Eradyn, it'll be fine. You can still make out the text and the faces, so I shouldn't have to worry about that. Most people should be able to link the chicken to my avatar and Garrus to, well, Garrus/Clan Vakarian.

I don't play many games, but I guess I do play a fair few obscure ones.

(Warning, these videos all have stories to them, and if you don't want it spoiled, though there's not much to, I'd recommend not watching them, I guess. I tried to get live gameplay as much as possible)

Over the Distance was my favourite song and level in the whole of Ouendan. Excellent song, and excellent story. All the other songs in Ouendan 1 are great, too. There are some I don't like as much, but they're still pretty good. Great final song, too. Good for a mini adrenaline boost.

EBA was a great game, too. I didn't play it as much, and I don't have it anymore, but those songs were pretty good, too. I didn't like how the beatmaps were a lot easier (apart from Jumping Jack Flash, but that was still pretty doable (I never did manage to S/Perfect that in the time I had...). It was a lot more sustained and slowed paced, but the beatmap was still quite intense, if not more, than Ouendan 1's final song, Ready Steady Go. alkaliph's an amazing video maker for these three games, and she's even got some actual gameplay than the replays shown), and the spinners were touched up a bit to make them easier, too. There's the familiarity in English music, but I think I preferred both Ouendans.

Ouendan 2 was pretty good in itself. Had good continuity from Ouendan 1, and it had some pretty decent songs. I'd say the final song is like EBA, it's more sustained and not as fast paced, though it's still pretty intense. I remember the frustration as I attempted SSAY on Hidden mode on Miracle Cheer. alkaliph's video once again. But I think Ouendan had the better song-set, stories and such.

Another recurring sort of event in all the games is the sad story. I loved them all. I'd rank Over the Distance, You're the Inspiration, and Believe (strangely enough they're all english names) as the same in terms of the song itself, they're all quite beautiful and fitting.

In terms of the story, Believe Story explanation -> (The girl was jealous of her sister, and she yelled at her for it. When the sister was on her way home she was killed in a car crash, and the younger sister was full of grief and guilt. She decides to take up ice skating (what the older sister was good at that made the younger jealous) to uphold her legacy) was pretty good, but I don't think it compares to Over the Distance (just shown) or You're the Inspiration

But yeah, Ouendan/EBA fanboy-ism over. They're excellent games, apart from gaming adultery on Garrus, I'd recommend them all. Probably Ouendan 1 the most.

To make this more Garrus related, I can't imagine Garrus ever needing Ouendan or the EBA. He's too awesome to need support.

Speaking of obscure games, has anyone ever played this one?

Image IPB

It's one of the best old-school adventure games out there. It was made in 1998, but I still play it every once in a while.

Anyway, back to Garrus.

My film professor just returned my graded paper to me today. This paper was discussing how the western genre is slowly becoming more dated the farther in the past the "untamed" wild west becomes, and now more and more science fiction works are serving to fill the void because audiences are more easily able to identify with a frontier that remains almost entirely unexplored to this day and it serves as a more appealing setting for an adventure.

This paper had a paragraph that was largely about Garrus in it.

Not only did I get an A, but the professor wrote "Impressive!" in the margins next to the Garrus paragraph.

I love my life sometimes.

One of them has to go on that thread, when the time comes. I can't pick which but I'm leaning towards Bros.
