But in fear of being banned for being off topic... <3 Garrus <3

Not that great? You shut up your mouth right now! Image IPB It's wonderful! And adorable! I love it!! Image IPB Post moar so I can staple you to thread too

Don't sweat being banned. Mr. Woo is pretty reasonable. He's banning people posting off topic nonsensical pics that are unrelated to the topic and laying down the hammer of volusing time on threads that have mass pages of spam. As long as we keep it within reason, I think we'll be okay. And this is most certainly Garrus related on an epic level!

his father hates you. If Garrus lived through it, he only dislikes you. :P You would get a lot of extra dialogue if Garrus is in the party with you at the time, and even more if you romanced him.

I like the idea of certain squad mate spicing up and adding flavor to some of the missions. Tali and Legion on the Flotilla, Garrus on Palaven, Grunt on Tuchanka, Miranda/Jacob on whatever to Cerberus, etc. And getting more dialogue if you romanced the character would be great as well. For example, Garrus could defend you with more conviction if someone says **** about you being human on Palaven, or if you get flak from his father.

So, random thought: We should come up with hypothetical Garrus-related situations or something to discuss. For instance, what /would/ happen if our Shepard ever met Garrus's dad?

Garrus' father could be an NPC that all Shepards meet regardless of whether or not they romanced Garrus. If Garrus died during the suicide mission of ME2, his father hates you. If Garrus lived through it, he only dislikes you. :P You would get a lot of extra dialogue if Garrus is in the party with you at the time, and even more if you romanced him.

Garrus all ready said that his father would dislike Shepard. So it would be interesting to meet him.

The best part of this drawing is the way the t-shirt stretches over their neck thing.

I've been awake, but I'm going to be off for school in 10 minutes.

That pic is adorable.

I would like to meet Garrus' father, and I think I like the structure MarginalBeast suggested.

See, this is what I say when people say giving extra dialogue from NPCs in ME3 reflecting the romance with Tali would be unfair to other characters. There's no reason similar dialogue can't be written for the other characters. Your example with Garrus is a clear one and I'd love to see that.

I also do, incidentally, think we should really get around to visiting Palaven. I'd love to see a turian-dominant world after so many human ones and the asari's moment of glory with Ilium (and the krogan with Tuchanka). Salarian homeworld wouldn't be bad either, though I get the impression they don't like visitors.

Oh, I'm totally in favor of all of the romances having instances like this. If not all, then none of them should have it.

I only wish that female turians will not mysteriously be missing from where we go on Palaven.

I wonder what their physiology would be. I certainly hope BioWare doesn't just take a regular turian and add breasts. That would really annoy me. Fortunately, I think they're smarter than that and given that turians are supposed to be sort of like bird people the results could be... interesting.

Perhaps there'll be a noticeable size difference. Or female turians will be more colorful? I suppose they could make them look practically identical (we humans aren't that outwardly different aside from hip proportions and breast size after all) but I imagine that they'll want to do something different.

Turians have been called so many things. I suppose that's a testament to how unique they are.

I would imagine that they would make female turians less angular, and likely more feminine (of human sexual dimorphism) shapes to their shoulders and hips, etc. That may include less muscle mass (such as their necks) and perhaps making them shorter.

Breasts? Don't know, don't care, but given that the Asari and Quarians have breasts, it may be better for them not to for the sake of variety. Their faces will likely be changed to accomodate their feminity. I saw some lovely art of female turians before, I'm sure someone here has got it?

As an addition, if they are truly related to birds, it's possible that there may be different coloration, as you said. This is very common among the plumage of birds.

The only thing is that turians scream non-mammalian to me, so breasts would be out-of-place and weird. Theoretically, they might still nurse their young with milk, but it would seem too easy a short-cut in my mind.

Re: female turians. I also second that they'd be less angular but if they have breastage, my nerdrage will destroy worlds. They are probably more delicate and less...sharp I guess? I also think that they wouldn't have that weird turtle shell going on and if they did, it'd be smaller. Regarding no breasts, I'm of the theory that turian babies are born ready for solid food but just mashed up perhaps. (Aw turian babies. Image IPB) That pic is my favorite female turian rendition I think.

Wait...what happened to BlueL?

Anyway...yes. Please allow the Turian womenfolk to leave the kitchen, Bioware.

(I'm sorry, I've had a little to drink.)

ETA: I just realized Brass came back! Oddly enough, I was just thinking about you...and feeling some shame and worry that I actually scared you away with my question about...things...

At least it's not a perma-ban. That would be inexcusable, Mr. Woo.

Garrus thread delivers. ;D

I'm sorry...I'm trying to think of something Garrus related to say. My mind is clouded with amusement over the fact that votes for Miranda on the Survivor game are through the roof after the death of Garrus. Hmmm...

How about this: someone posted a letter a few pages back and I almost shed a tear. You know...the letter that's supposed to be written by Garrus after Shepard's death? Premium content right there.

ETA: I was looking at the comments on the dA page of the female turian and the first one is of someone theorizing that Chellick is female. While I don't agree...I just had to share. Perhaps it could be discussed? It'd be pretty awkward if it turned out we have already encountered a few female Turians. Especially if we spoke with them and learned their names. Lilihierax was definitely male...right...?

Garrus thread always delivers. Except when my internetprovider fails to deliver. I just spent an hour without internet and it drove me crazy. I am that sad.

No. This thread is brightening up and ruining my life at the same time.

I reallyreally hope we'll visit Palaven or a turian colony in ME3. I want to see more of turians and their society. Papa Vakarian and female turians (without bewbs plz) would also be interesting additions.

@aznsoi: No, I don't think there were 'hidden' female turians in the game. BW stated they ran out of time and money to create females, but if Chellick/Lihi are supposed to be female, I think they'd have at least a woman as their voice actors.

Many believe that turians with a short fringe are females. That's just stupid. It's like seeing a guy with long hair and say he's a girl because having long hair is so girly.

Also, in ME1 when you bump into Chellick in Chora's Den and have Garrus with you he'll say something like "That's Chellick! What is he up to?"

Meh, like I said...I don't agree with the guy, so I didn't actually think there were any hidden females. Mostly because I remember that statement from Bioware. I was just thinking about how hard I would make this face:

D:

If it turned out that way.

Lololol, something just happened/is still happening to me and you guys are the only ones I can share it with without coming off as a lunatic.

So, I was in this huge Asian supermarket to get some instant noodles. It was my first time there, so I was just taking my time looking around. And then... SUDDENLY... Mountain Dew! I laughed out loud, Chinese woman next to me looking at me like "geez, cans of soda are that funny?". Tears were almost running down my face of laughing.

I grabbed a can (and a lot of instant noodles), found a nice spot in the sun and opened my very first can of Mountain Dew, took my phone and started typing this deflowering story.

Sorry to decrease the maturity level again, but this is what happens when things like this get associated with Garrus. The happiness one can of soda and the thought of Garrus can bring... it's mind blowing XD

XD Congrats, Cerrydd! I'm sitting here giggling like a fiend after reading this and looking at my husband while pointing at the computer with tears in my eyes laughing out "Mountain Dew! Haha! MOUNTAIN DEW!!" so you're not the only one looking like a total lunatic.

Hope you enjoyed it. Image IPB

Hah, finding Mountain Dew the first time you go to a shop you don't normally go.

blueL went a little far by accident and took over a troll thread with pictures, so she got a 24h ban. She'll be back very soon.

As for females, I would like to see Palaven and turian things, including females, but in terms of breasts, like Collider said, don't know, don't care.

And, this thread always delivers, definitely.
