I am still at my second playthrough, I finished Garrus loyalty mission. The thing that made me wonder was the line of Sidonis who said that he "woke up sweaty" from nightmares. But sweat glands are not reptile trait. Hmmmm....Turians can sweat....O_o

I dunno... from their accounts, the Picts supposedly terrified the hell out of them.

I made Shepard run straight to her cabin after Mordin said he sent the vids, even though I already read about other people saying he didn't really send them. xD That choice of "keep watching/force herself to keep watching/delete" would have been perfect.

Little by little we find all these things that these aliens can and can't do.

Oh, I'm sure there's plenty who spar with only a loincloth or naked, but I was talking about actually running around in daily lives clothed/unclothed and wearing/not-wearing of uniforms/armor in actual war/battles.

As I understood what my bf said, Galatians (apparently that is the proper spelling, sorry for the misspell earlier) are the only ones who they actually *know* fought naked (though w/ helm & shield) as it's recorded by what are consider reliable sources (I'm guessing themselves, but my bf is sick of me asking him stuff about it so I can't say for sure lol).
Celts had only oral history and the things others wrote down leave it up in the air whether they fought painted and naked or actually just sent out one guy naked and painted as a sort of tribute to the war-related god/gods.
I'm guessing the same issue arises with Picts (lack of reliable documentation).

Roman outfits and battle-gear, in any case, are pretty well documented by themselves and others.

Anyhoo... Turians sweat, huh? I'm surprised we weren't seeing a lot of shiny forehead and armpit rings when Garrus came up to Shep's cabin then... he was certainly nervous enough for sweat

I think that's the best Old Spice commercial ever though the Bruce Campbell one is also really funny, if only for the "???" factor when listening to it

I wonder if Garrus would have put on cologne or something before heading up to Shep's cabin? I wonder if turians even use "scent enhancing substances", as it were... hmm... *ponder*

If he's warm blooded, then yes, he can use a scent enhancer.  Since they sweat, it seems to imply that they can.  

Personally, he seems to be more of a bay rum kind of guy to me...  Mmmm... sweaty, calibrated, Garrus.....

I read somewhere that Kelly at one point comments that FemShep and Garrus would make a cute couple. Does anyone know if she really says this? And if so, when does she say it?

She does, when she talks about how something about Garrus makes her want to hold him (or comfort him or something or other along those lines), if your Shep picks the "I feel the same way" type response, Kelly will say she thinks you'd make a cute couple. (I don't remember the exact turns of phrase, but that's the gist of the convo and convo choice Shep. has to make to get the comment, I'm sure someone else here can quote it more accurately, I just can't think of it exactly atm)

haha Every time I see that commercial, it reminds me of Jacob, not Garrus XD

Simply because that's how Jacob talks.  I usually leave the conversations with him thinking..."Er, wait, wut?"

As for scent, I've been wondering about this too.  We sweat to cool ourselves off, and it's the most effecient cooling system for animals developed on Earth (Discover Magazine is awesome!)  Plus it helps with pheramones(sp?) (reasons why we still have hair in some places, but for the most part have naked skin.)  So you gotta wonder... do turians smell?  If they did, what would the smell like naturally (sans environmental things like gun oil and armor smells, though I guess that would smell like ... well, turian sweat.)  Would a dextro based creature smell sweet?  That'd be ... weird, to say the least.  

Their noses don't seem all that prominent, but you can't really make that a case for if they have a well developed sense of smell (though apparently, Garrus could smell Harkin in his mission.  That could have been bravado talking or actual natural turian sensitivity, WHO KNOWS?!)  Then again, I can't seem to find a decent set of ears on ANY of the alien races, so not sure what they're using to hear.  Samara is the only Asari I've seen that has something that looks like it could be an ear... sorta.  But turians?  Drell?  Salarians?  No ears at all.

Thanks for the info!  I'll be sure to give it a try when I get to that point with the FemShep I made to romance Garrus.

Gaaaah, beat me to it!    I like the thought of him smelling like leather just fine.  I just can't imagine turians having their own kind of musk, though the sweating comment would lead you to believe it's possible.
