@Raga: It's always been the person is the second slot for me...but I've heard people had different experiences. Note that dying in gameplay randomizes the slots the squad mates are in, so if you're testing you may want to do it on casual (then again you probably are already).

The suicide mission is simple once you figure what everyones job is.
Garrus leads both teams
Tali in the pipe
Samara/Jack for the long walk.
Zaeed,Jack,Thane,Garrus Hold the line
Legion/Mordin Escort

Nope, actually I started playing it last night but had to stop playing because I kept dying because I had drank too much and I no longer had any eye-hand coordination.  Actually, as long as I'm going to be completely honest, I should tell you by the end I was playing with my left eye closed because I had double vision.
Which do you think I need treated first, my alcohol addiction or my Garrus addiction?  'Cause I think I'd much rather go to AA than GA.

lol, don't get your alcohl addiction treated. We have to accept the fact Garrus fangirls are winos .

Anyway, you have everybody loyal and all upgrades, right?

Vents: Tali/Legion/Kasumi
First leader: Miranda/Garrus (I heard Jacob works too, but I haven't tried that)
Escort: Mordin!
Biotic: Jack/Samara
Second leader: Miranda/Garrus (or maybe Jacob)
Hold the door: Anyone. I haven't had Kasumi holding the line yet, but they say she's kind of squishy, so you might want to take her to the Reaper to make sure she lives. People say leaving Grunt/Garrus/Zaeed behind will make sure no one dies, but I took Grunt and Garrus with me and everybody still lived (as long as I send Mordin back as escort)

I hope it will finally work out for you... seeing people die is sad

Also i took Miri and Garrus with me to the Terminator and everyone survived. I sent Mordin to escort the crew.

Grunt and Zaeed are the best hold the line people. Unless you are doing something differently from previous suicide missions with no deaths, putting Kasumi in the hold the line team won't make her die, in fact she will add to the score.

I saved Garrus a thousand times, but he's never helped me get on the ship. I don't know how that mechanism works. It would be nice if he'd save me

So does Garrus. Having Grunt, Garrus and Zaeed on hold the line makes sure no one dies there.

Thanks for all the advice, everyone! And I've sworn off drinking for all next week...it's making me fat. So I'll have coordination. LOL

What happens if you choose Thane as the biotic? I wonder, he probably dies o.o
