For those interested in turian tats, you can always visit silentstephi's turian tattoo database.

You mean, Enchanted?  Now we know Sandal has a second job...

But yeah, some of the face paint that is shiny is not also metallic.  Again, these turians might have chosen a less permanent means of marking themselves for various reasons.

But I am curious about why some turians are shiny and some are not...

So many beautiful ones...and great pictures.  I must thank silentstephi personally :wizard:

It's possible that since parts of the Turian body is metallic, some Turians genetically have metallic plating on their head whereas some don't.

...I've never seen the thread accelerate like this before.

They should do fine with heavy metal tats considering they already have metallic exoskeletons

I'm not quite fond of the word exoskeleton, because I don't think it's really what a turian has. I'd say it's more of a metallic hide/skin, and they have an endoskeleton. But yeah, it's still pretty resistant, so I think metal tattoos would be fine.

Some Turians who have too shiny tats are kinda ugly. I am a guy, but for some odd reason I find Garrus attractive..... I don't know why, I just do, and I have a wife for crying out loud.  :pinched:

His handsome awesomeness transcends gender/gender preferences
I'm a hetero woman (with a husband) and if I see a gorgeous woman I will stare at her.  I think we are just drawn to attractiveness.

Yes, it is an awesome compilation. I loooove the tat on Sidonis... It's hot.

It's nice to see that BW put a lot of variety in the tattoos.

Doesn't the codex call it that?

It says it's a type of exoskeleton, but I don't think it's an accurate term, because it means that they don't have a spine, and they should have limited movement, growth and such.

I'm not fond of the idea that because you're a guy you can't/shouldn't find Garrus attractive. Though I guess it's a bit more of a big deal if you have a wife.

LOL I thought Garrus looked badass in ME2. The fringe Turians have remind me of something in another game that I can't remember.

By shiny, I don't even mean metallic. The actual skin of their faces/fringes takes on a nonmetallic gleam. Garrus, I think, has a more matte look but is more metallic. But the shiny look can appear on either dark or light colored turians. It's something I noticed on the Presidium in ME1. There are some shiny turians running around over there. They outright gleam in the light.

Haha, this indeed. There's nothing wrong with staring at a beautiful person, no matter what gender he or she is.

And Garrus is just beautiful and fascinating to look at.

I like his scars, I hope they keep them, but maybe heal them up a bit. The scars add alot to him, it shows what he went through.

I think the scars are definitely a part of the identity of his character. I can't imagine him ever losing them completely.

I just had an absolutely horrible thought (although I don't think they'd ever do this...knock wood)
You know how sometimes they'll continue series and games with different actors?  What if they switched to a different VA for Garrus?  I'd run at the BW HQ with pitchforks and torches.
It's too horrible to imagine! :crying:

I wouldn't mind loosing the bandages though.  Anyone else wonder if you can see the cybernetics in his jaw under the bandages as you could with Saren?

I had rather Garrus die in canon than get a new VA.  I mean it.  His voice is about 75% of the initial turn-on for a butt-load of people.

How big is a butt-load exactly anyway?

WAT

I will RAGE if they replace BK... BK = Garrus man. But I think they'll stick to the same VA's. Would be all kinds of sucky if they chose other VA's for the last part of a trilogy

And yes, his scars must stay. I got him the fixed armor, but the scars are badass.
