I think the scars are definitely a part of the identity of his character. I can't imagine him ever losing them completely.
I just had an absolutely horrible thought (although I don't think they'd ever do this...knock wood)
You know how sometimes they'll continue series and games with different actors? What if they switched to a different VA for Garrus? I'd run at the BW HQ with pitchforks and torches.
It's too horrible to imagine!
To replace Garrus' voice actor would be like removing Garrus' soul from the character. BK "is" Garrus Vakarian. Period. The Voice and Garrus go hand-in-hand. BW couldn't be that silly...because one of the things we all went/continue to go crazy over is Garrus' liquid-sex voice.

Why wait? You know they are going
to close this thread sooner or later, so if it's going to take that long
to even start one, why not go ahead and move on?
And yes, let's
please never ever have mutant hybrid Garrus-babies. It's illegal in
Council space to start with. I mean sure, they could probably go for it
in terminus space, but why? Besides, the whole dextro vs. levo thing
would be really really bad in a hybrid.
Mainly out of concern that the mods would lock it what with this thread being open. If the mods didn't mind, I'd do that right now. ^^
Yeah, a hybrid child would not be viable without intense genetic engineering and heavy intervention and involvement throughout the process, at all stages and levels. It's not going to happen...thank God. XD

Presenting a Garrus plushie to her calms her down, if anybody's interested. It could make an interesting paradox,
actually, but I haven't tried it out.

HEY ERADYN! MUTANT BABIES ARE AWESOME!11!!!1!1!!
*The presence of a Garrus plushie and mutant babies, together, causes a paradoxical situation leading to the sundering of the fabric of the universe. Somehow...green becomes cooler than blue.*
RE: Turian Shininess/"Metal" Skin
From my understanding, while turians have metallic qualities to their "exoskeleton," it isn't really an exoskeleton in the purest sense. Neither is their flesh metal. It might have metallic properties (perhaps the shininess we see in some turians?), but it provides no actual armor beyond shielding them from long-term low-level radiation. Grunt's comment about working the blade to sever the spinal cord might be in reference to the scales on a turian, where you might have to wedge the blade between them to find softer flesh to sever the spine. But a bullet wouldn't be deflected by their hides.
Turians, like humans, probably have skin with differing complexions. Some have shinier complexions, others have duller. Again, it could also be where the "metallic" properties show themselves. I imagine it might be useful for helping to reflect radiation, very useful on a planet as hot as Palaven. Also, turians might practice forms of buffing/polishing as a form of makeup. But that's entirely, wildly speculative. Would explain why a politician like the turian councilor is so shiny, though.
