...I think I got through it, actually, with one Gold Chocobo... though what I did do was overload him/her with Sylkis Greens... I don't remember being frustrated. Though I think I remembered some sort of running trick in the end...

Yeah it made me a sad panda that the workaround stopped working. I got lazy and never went for the sentry interface and now I'm outta luck since I live on an overseas military base and AAFES isn't allowed to sell promotional stuff like that. And as far as I know, Japan isn't running the promotion.

Also: Pfft I'm "not that special". Just for that, I'm voting for the old lady, Cerrydd!

Yeah, the promotion isn't in the UK, so I have to find stuff like this, and if this workaround doesn't work, then I'm screwed...

You could always see if there's anyone in the U.S. who's willing to give you a code. It's what I did (since the workaround stopped working a few days before I found out about it. Just my luck.)

Edit: by workaround I mean changing the URL, not the re-useable codes. Those are still valid, you just can't get the sentry interface from them.

I do wonder, though...why the Sentry Interface of all things? I think Garrus claimed copyright infringement so now you have to pay for Dr. Pepper so they can give him royalties. :B

It's probably because it's the most popular of the three, therefore they make sure people have to pay to get it.  <_<

I am in the U.S. and I haven't seen any of the EA bottles at all in my location, except once.  They're all Iron Man bottles now.

It sucks because I wanted the other ME2 things and the Spore bot parts.  And maybe some Sims 3 stuff...

Is it bad that I don't ordinarily drink soda at all, and yet I would happily buy Dr. Pepper and drink it if I could get hold of one of the EA promo bottles?

I'm not a soda drinker either but I so want in on the stuff for the other games too! Well the promo's supposed to be running until the end of the year so maybe when the Iron Man 2 hype dies down, the bottles will come back around. I'm at the point where I'm asking my family. I'm such an addict. I must be stopped!

I only ever drink the "Diet/Zero/Light" renditions of any soft drink. I don't like having too much sugar, especially in a drink (I know, but Garrus tastes sweet without any actual sugar, so he's effectively a diet Mountain Dew dispenser)

Yeah, I looked around to confirm that it doesn't work for the Sentry Interface, and I found out that workaround. So they fixed that? Damn.

I like Soltana's copyright reasoning. I wonder why the Sentry Interface is so popular... because it's the most similar to Garrus' visor?

The Clan Vakarian battles are pretty tight... only two votes ahead of Soltana, and the Old Fart is winning.

I suppose there is that. I might make another playthrough after this Insanity clear and kill one or two people off but... I dunno. It just doesn't sit well with me. I'm mutha'fing SHEPARD. I don't let people die. (Vermire was a... er.... planned. Right. Totally planned.)



The downside to some of the really neat armor and suits and helms that I've found is that... YOU CAN'T TURN OFF THE DRATTED HELMET. So I won't wear'em. Cool Collector Armor? Oh well. Interesting hood with nice bennies? OH WELL. Drat you, BW. Why do you force me to pick between seeing my character and having neat armor? *flips off*

dont worry, youre not the only one, DAO is a very addicting game, still the lack of garrus is unsettling but hey, at least we got ALISTAIR! I love that man

no dont hold back! kill off everyone except two, i did that once in a playthrough where only garrus and grunt survived....it was DEEPLY satisfiying.....now thats a mothaeffing shepard, take that no one left behind achievement!

yah and bioware really need to make helmet toggle in ME 3, I want to see my shepards face when wearing the cerberus armor (despite his undeniable ugliness)

My Shepard looks more or less like me(if I had that hair style and those eyelashes, good lord...) But I want to see her reactions. Her facial expressions are really funny in some of the missions. (Like when Okeer talks about how the Genophage has caused more coddling than human's collective teets. Fem!Shep's expression there is just.. too amusing. Or when you meet Garrus again. First time I played the game I was wearing the Blood Dragon Armor and was FURIOUS when I realized I couldn't see my character's face and... neither could Garrus.) WTF is up with that, BW? At least have Shepard remove it for CUT SCENES THEN!
