The reason why I don't think Tali and Kal would work is because Kal does not act the same way that Tali likes M!Shep for. Kal is not treating her as an equal, instead he's insisting upon putting himself below her. She asked him to use her name because that's how she is, she doesn't like to be treated as a superior. But he is still refusing. That would be very very frustrating for Tali. At most, Kal has a crush on her and Tali doesn't. But this thread isn't about Tali so...

Garrus. Does anyone actually use his loyalty outfit? I prefer the battered blue one. It has a much better color scheme.

I don't use the loyalty armor at all. I actually LIKE the broken armor for ME2. I dunno... it just fits him right now. That and the colors don't feel right to me. I know there are recolors out there, but since my computer refuses to allow me to use the mod tool to use them... I can't partake. /sigh



Kal is a marine. It's not easy for a marine to just drop formalities right away. It would take time for them to get used to each other, just like it took time for Tali and Garrus to feel comfortable around Shepard. Just saying. *shrug*

Tali and Garrus seem like brother and sister to me as well (although I don't think they're quite that close). Can't imagine them as a couple.

Me too. 'Course that doesn't mean they didn't have a good time anyway, even if only because they got to have a "few moments just for them." Awkwardness isn't always totally horrible. I just think that their experience was enjoyable because of the emotions involved rather than the purely physical aspect of it. Because, yeah, 2 hours (and it probably wasn't even that much) isn't a whole lot of time to really get used to each other.

I don't think it was a surprise though; I'm almost positive they planned it. Surely Garrus would say something other than "Hey, I brought wine" if he showed up to the captain's quarters completely unannounced? Like "Sorry, I know this is sudden but ...(insert more words here)"? And I'd like to think that Shepard would care enough to plan something for them before going into a mission that they may not come back from. Or maybe she was planning to call Garrus up right after she got out of her shower but he was one step ahead of her.

Really? To me it felt the other way around, Tali having a crush on Kal, but he's not aware of it because he's acting all professional.

I like his loyalty outfit more than the original, but I'm using the fixed armor now. Me likes orange visor.

I'm going to rewrite this: I like the Loyalty colors alright. Either of the two are okay. The FIXED armor I don't like. I blame the wine. Sorry. >_>

Yeah, it kind of bugged me. FemShep is taking a shower, and apparently she's wearing superwaterproof mascara. Next shot she's fully clothed and her hair still looks as greasy as before. And even then Garrus still says her hair looks good. What the hell, it looks like it has never been washed since she was born.

Does anyone else get the glitch where Shepard in the shower has mild Renegade scarring (Xbox)? That really threw me for a loop, the first time I played it. Maybe the game pulls 'initial Shepard appearance' data, since it's the first disc again?

Garrus's (default) loyalty outfit is my favorite of the three, actually. The red in the collar really punches it up.

I do Boots.  On the PC.  It's a bit jarring, but then again, my Shep's a Renegade XD

Same here! Paragon Shepard takes a shower. SUDDENLY, scars. Comes out the shower clothed, scars are gone. The mascara is waterproof, but the foundation is not.

...And now, for the sake of Saren's sanity, they'll stop joking around with him. xD He might not hate all humans anymore after death and resurrection, but he just might think they're crazy.

I didn't realize it was Saren's voice until I watched the youtube video and really listened for it, but I hear it now. I wouldn't have noticed that Zaeed is Murdock at all, since Zaeed isn't in my game for me to hear him on a regular basis.

I never thought of Tali and Kal until I saw it mentioned on the forums. I guess you never know... but it would seem kind of weird if the NPCs started dating when I have another Shepard who romanced them. Poor Shepard #1's NG+ keeps getting delayed, he finds out Saren is his father in DA (and he has the Earthborn background in ME, so he doesn't know his father), and now people are pairing off his romance interest with another quarian!

Haha, well, I'm just saying I could see it. Like... an alternative if you don't pursue a relationship with someone. I wouldn't mind The Priiiize pairing up with Ms.Bugs Bunny... but he's got issues with 'I'm not worthy' and so on. Who knows. Who knows. I just thought it was a cute idea. It isn't like I expect any perspective LI to remain single just because I picked someone else, after all. XD

Shepard #1 doesn't really care if Tali hooks up with Kal in someone else's game as long as it doesn't happen in his playthrough. xD (Shep's just being dramatic. He's not really the jealous type.) I like to think of it as all of the characters (minus Shepard, of course) having clones for different games, which means every Garrus fan gets their own Garrus! It's a little different when it's my game with just different playthroughs though, since I imagine all of my Shepards on the Normandy together so often...

Wow, looking at all of these modded hairstyles, eye colors, and outfits for Shepard is pretty interesting. It's amazing what can be done when you understand the technology.

Tali acts the same if you're male Shepard while talking to Kal'Reegar in her loyalty mission. She has a huge crush on MShepard right now. Also having one on Kal makes no sense.

I would love fixed armor with the default color scheme. That silver just doesn't seem to fit him. Maybe that's just because Garrus has always been in blue, though.

Speaking Jacob The Priiize Taylor...I just LOVE what Bioware did there. On Miranda: "She deserves a better man than I." So....that means Shepard, the savior of the galaxy doesn't deserve better? Ugh whatevs. I will never be able to romance Jacob. What a shame.


I wish I could get to liking the new DLC armor but the more I use it, the more I hate it. I keep going back to the regular loyalty armor. Garrus and not-blue armor does not compute.

Yea, that's what I thought too...blue is his signature color, that's the color he starts with in ME1 and is the default in ME2. It feels weird to change it. I didn't have this problem in ME1, I could give Garrus whatever armor (aside from phoenix...rofl) and not mind. But in ME2 I couldn't give him the DLC armor without hating it. Weird.

We know that's not the case because Tali's reaction to Kal, as far as I know, is the same regardless if Shepard is a male or female. And if Shepard's male then...

In any case, Collider's right. It's off-topic. I don't see Garrus and Tali as a particularly viable couple, but out of all the people besides Shepard that I can think of, he seems the most so.

As for Garrus' loyalty outfit, I didn't really think much of it. I think it's overall an improvement, but only slightly, unlike with some of the characters, whose loyalty outfit looks much, much better. I did think his alternative appearance in the DLC pack (yes, I admit it - I bought it) was slightly better though, and very ME1-like. Mostly because it involved some actual repairs.

I do think I like the colors on his loyalty costume best. But only slightly.

Well, I did say that I liked the loyalty color scheme better. The DLC armor just feels better overall, to me.
