Both computers which I have the most viable access to are apalling at playing games. I remember WoW still crashing quite frequently on this one. Especially that strange part of the Storm Peak in the south-east... Fjorn's Anvil, I think...

Or perhaps if you're talking about Garrus' story and stuff, both romance and non-romance get the same dialogue, but when it gets more personal, "bro/sis" or lover stuff, then it splits into two sets?

It's a good suggestion, but you still run into the problem that it may not feel "unique enough". I'm in favour of this option though, because mostly romance-y dialogue and little romance-y dialogue would both feel out of place. I'm feeling hopeful that Bioware will manage to find a good compromise.

I guess you could consider it like that, but it's a compromise between the two different ways they could do it if you want to include romance dialogue, so it's just about balancing it together, and yeah, hoping Bioware find a good compromise.

Or they could assume that everybody romanced Garrus and make him talk to ManShep in a really provocative way, too. ^v^

I still remember my delurk in some detail. I don't think there was anything special about it, but I was quite tense, awkward and uptight from the start. Well, moreso than I am nowadays, anyway.

I was really late to the party. I didn't play ME1, and I ended up getting ME2, but I hadn't even played much of it when I found out about Garrus, and I didn't really have much interest in him until I saw his entrance in ME2. Then I started looking him up (*giggle*) and I found this thread (this one I'm posting in right now, actually). Then I just used the account I used to sign up to the Ceberus Network. And then you guys made me want to get ME1.

Well, I remember my delurk. As I recall, it included taking down the Praetorian with this song playing in the background...Ah, good times.

I never really lurked, just read the previous thread from the start (I think it had about 70 pages back then) and then I 'delurked' by posting pics of the rejection scene.

Great way to make an entrance, no?

Shepard: "Do you have a minute to talk or are you in the middle of calibrations again?"
Garrus: "Calibrations, again? No, Shepard, I already finished them in the last game."

:wizard:

Change in the last game to long ago and we've got a nice easter egg for those who imported.

I remember first talking/seeing you in the fanfic thread in the Garrus Vakarian Fan group, Xsause. I didn't really know you that much, but I think we've all grown to like you very much.

Yeah yeah yeah I know. I didn't hear very much about Mass Effect, and I didn't think it woulld interest me. Fortunately ME2 and Garrus really made me want to get ME1.

Lots and lots of Garrus screenies taken from my current playthrough, this time the first conversation with him on the Normandy:

(I got Shep's dress by editing the coalesced.ini.)

Garrus: ...Shepard?
Shepard: What? It's an interesting story, carry on.
Garrus: Your arm is floating an inch off the banister.
Shepard: What? I'm leaning on it, why aren't I falling down...

You didn't let me finish calibrating the banister...

Garrus! I'm sorry for interrupting you while you were calibrating that banister. It must be hard work calibrating everything you see all day.

Is Garrus secretly God and has to keep tweaking the laws of physics in order to keep the universe in line?

No wonder he's calibrating all the time.

Nah, he loves it. He does a good job, too. His calibrations meant it hurt when I fell down the stairs, which was awesome.

Was just coming to rectify!

I don't think I ever lurked. I only found this forum because I got a promo code for DLC when I preordered ME2 (got ME1 a little late in the day to hit the origional hype, and was still big into LJ at the time, so wasn't looking. :( ) I love Garrus, and so found the Garrus thread. I can't remember my first post, but I'm sure I was ranting about something or squeeing about something else. I tend not to lurk because when I'm online I sort of just respond to whatever is there without giving it too much thought (in case you haven't noticed. :P. Or, conversely, sometimes having given it far too much thought!) Only forum I ever 'lurked' on was the Billy West one back in the day, and that was mostly 'cos I was young, foolish, and still thought the internets were serious bidness! lol

Yep. Today it finally happened. Someone made a joke about me looking up shirtless Garrus and being in love with a CGI alien at work. The sad thing is, they thought they were kidding.

@Xsause: I don't know what Garrus is looking at in the third one from the bottom, but man, does he look surprised! ("ZOMG: Shepard is hawt!")

Wasn't there an outer limits episode to that effect?

(Apologies if this is a double post. I get distracted mid-typing, so the thread moves down. lol )

He's only partially looking at Sidonis through that rifle scope, you know. He's really using it to check out Shep's butt.
