No-one make a priiiize joke!

Some men find the priiize attractive. Mind you, most of those men are Jacob.

Wait... so you're NOT checking Shep out through the scope?  :crying:

I have no idea how I would want the romance/friend dialogue options to work other aside from wanting more friendship dialogue in ME3. Of course, I wouldn't want the romances to miss out on those conversations either (unless it's really friendship-specific). Anyway... I trust BioWare to make ME3 awesome. :D Each BioWare game that I've played so far has become one of my favorites.

I don't think a drunken mission would work for my Shepards... at all. xD Even the one who's going to pass out in Dark Star wouldn't go on a mission right after (he drinks a lot, but getting drunk was a one-time thing that was a direct result of dying, being resurrected by the same organization that killed his team on Akuze, and finding out that his old squad had disappeared - which is why he'll cling to Garrus even in the plague zone when he finds him). I have a few Shepards who won't even drink with Dr. Chakwas until the suicide mission is over.

I'm almost convinced I should get ME3 for the PC (mods, FRAPS, etc.). However, my PC gaming skills are weaksauce. Anyone have some input for me on how the gameplay feels on the PC version? (Or compared w/ XBox if anyone's done both). :P

I'm almost convinced too, except I would also get ME1 and ME2, Dragon Age... and a gaming PC. >.>; Yeah, that won't be any time soon. But when/if that time comes, I'll probably be asking around for instructions for the mods. Those would be the only games I'd have doubles of... BioWare games are just that awesome.

Which makes it all the more unfortunate most of us seem to be alcoholics.

And proud of it. He went to all that trouble to bring wine. It would be
rude not to be able to properly appreciate it and thank him!

I have a fat waist and a floppy crest, so eh. No idea why I'd be checked out. Unless I'm going to get sniped. Which causes conflicts in my mind as to whether getting sniped is a good thing or a bad thing if it's Garrus.

I remember when this thread appeared sober. Damn that wasn't as fun.

I come bearing polls. Many of them have something to do with Garrus, as well.

P.S. I laughed at Garrus' comment about Jacob and the priiize LOL

You know, the first time I caught a glimpse of scarred Garrus, my first thought was 'oh thank god, he looks totally fine'. It's really minor scarring for a missile exploding over his shoulder.

Kind of why I want a helmet toggle back. Garrus, if you'd have put the helmet back on after saying hi to me you'd be fine!

QFT. That and getting to use the neat armor we paid extra for(when preordering or getting the Collector's Edition) while getting to see the face of the character we put a lot of time into making and they spent a long time creating interesting and well done expressions for.:pinched:

I'm too lazy to catch up, so I'll just drop this here in case no one else has.

I'm not sure what a Shippers Manifesto is, but fifmeister over at LJ wrote a really cool one involving Garrus and Shepard. Makes for an interesting read!

I wish I could get to liking the new DLC armor but the more I use it, the more I hate it. I keep going back to the regular loyalty armor. Garrus and not-blue armor does not compute.

Yea, that's what I thought too...blue is his signature color, that's the color he starts with in ME1 and is the default in ME2. It feels weird to change it. I didn't have this problem in ME1, I could give Garrus whatever armor (aside from phoenix...rofl) and not mind. But in ME2 I couldn't give him the DLC armor without hating it. Weird.

For some reason I couldn't give him the Colossus armor, either (that's the black and red, right?).  It just looked to me like he was wearing some kind of goofy tuxedo and I couldn't take him seriously.

And Wrex DEFINITELY got the Phoenix armor in my playthroughs, at least sometimes. :P

Yeah, I don't quite get the logic either. Helmet safety is a running joke between me and my friend, though; in one of the RTS games he plays, the soldier units have only one hit point (that is, anything that hits them kills them) unless they're wearing a helmet (instead, the helmet flies off when they get shot, he spends a lot of time sending his units running after 'their extra hit point'). Also, in Baldur's Gate (I think, or maybe BG2) wearing a helmet makes a character immune to critical hits, which is insanely useful. So he's definitely biased in favor of helmets...even he doesn't use the DLC armor, though. Turns out you can recreate every bonus from them with maybe a 1-2% loss with regular armor components.

Woah, thread has lapsed! Where is everyone??
Well, I'll bump and state my intention of making an ME3 Garrus/FemShep vid to this song should everything go ideally:

Unless BW disappoints and there is a lack of Garrus romance content. You do not wish to disappoint, do you, BW??!! Image IPB

Not much point in making the romances in ME2 at all if Bioware is just going to inexplicably throw them away in the last game of the trilogy. Especially for Garrus and Tali - they were made because the fans wanted them. So it's kind of like...why would they even go through the trouble if they're not going to carry through.

To teach us a harsh lesson about the realities of life?

Seriously, though. I am optimistic. Moar Garrus, moar headbump action! (Hmm... I wonder if afterwards. 'headbump' takes on new connotations for them subconciously. I mean, all that running and ducking on missions, and crowding into the shuttle, etc, their heads are gonna bump. But usually not a precursor for lovin'. My FemShep could easily lose the will to concentrate after a bit of fringe to forehead action!)

Everyone has been very quiet this eve. Betting 500 credits as soon as I head off to bed, we get a bit of an explosion, and I have to play catch-up.

Edit: Good lord, I fail at English!

But I wonder if we'll get any Garrus DLC...is it too much to hope for? Would begging help?

That's possible, but as of now the most probable next DLC is the Liara Shadowbroker one which has files in the game with DLC in their filenames.

I'm hoping that's not the last DLC we get. Ideally, I think they should stagger DLC release for a new thing once every few months between now and ME3, but that's a very high hope. I am slightly concerned we got too much too soon with Firewalker, Zaeed and Kasumi beening only a couple of months apart. I hope it's a foreshadow of more releases to come, rather than them trying to splurge DLC on the initial game hype.

Mind you, most charts I see, ME2 is still well in the top ten xbox releases in the UK atm, so they should have no fear on that front.

Is it too much to hope for an expansion pack? Moar Garrus included, of course! :D

(A tiny part of me still hold a candle of hope for Garrus: The Omega Years game. Spin off? Yes. Awesome? Um.. how could it not be? It's Garrus! lol)

I believe I read that Bioware said they will release DLC that will bridge ME2 to ME3. Since we've gotten none of that so far, it seems that we will  be getting some bridging DLC later. An expansion pack would go a long way towards that.
