I believe I read that Bioware said they will release DLC that will bridge ME2 to ME3. Since we've gotten none of that so far, it seems that we will  be getting some bridging DLC later. An expansion pack would go a long way towards that.

Am I right in thinking that most of the previous DLC has had it's sound files already embedded in the game? Do you think this means any DLC to come will involve new recording sessions, or is it sitting on someone's harddrive somewhere waiting to be used. I'm only wondering because it'd be nice if BW took the multitude of comments about character development and squad interaction on board when devising what is to come next. (nb: I do not expect anyone to be able to give me an answer. I'm just thinking out loud. lol)

Really want some DLC to at least fix the issue with only Tali and Jacob having post romance dialogue. At the moment it's like the whole thing was so awful, Garrus had to block it out from his memory!

I know that the Kasumi DLC had files already embedded in the game. I'm not sure about the other ones. But if the Kasumi DLC is any indication, one of the next DLCs we'll get will have Liara and be about the Shadow Broker.

Hard to say. They may have already recorded the lines and are just coding. Or maybe they are still writing it. As far as DLC goes, the only one that we know of that's left is the Liara ones.

It's very possible that they put into mind the things people have been saying about wanting their romances recognized when they had Kasumi talk about it. I have a romance poll in which that very thing is the option with the highest number of votes. I'd like some more references to our romance and some squad banter, but we may have to wait for ME3 for that.



Yea, some after suicide mission dialogue for all of the romances would be good.

Kinda very OT, but this article in response to Roger Eberts "Video games cannot be art" thing is a darned good read, and pretty much says it all. You may enjoy. I posted it in the OT forum, but how many of us go there when all the wine is in here?

It will be interesting to see if we do get post romance conversations. Especially, I think, for Garrus, Thane and Jack. Jacob and Tali are done (Tali's was pretty much as I'd have expected. Jacob's... wasn't. But at least it was a resolution). I figure Miranda will offer round two, with a view to making it something more. The other three, though, I'm finding it hard to decide where they will be.

Thane: the actual scene, was like Shepard was distracting him from his mortality (making him feel alive), but afterwards, he's going to be worse off than ever in terms of his fear (which she caused by reawakening him).

Jack: assuming paragon option, has now been open and vunerable with another human being. Apparently if she dies in SM, she blames it on her being 'too happy' post romance, so I'd imagine it went well...but will she be able to cope with that?

Garrus: Poor Garrus. I don't think he really realised what he was feeling until he was there with her, dorky music and bad pick up lines. Now he's going to have to deal with that, and her. Do they take it further? Do they stick to blowing off steam? Was it 'awkward'? Is there anyway Garrus can have that conversation with her afterwards without it being more awkward? Mind you, we've all discussed the Garrus/FemShep outcome lots here, so I know there are differing opinions. I think that's why I think the responses for him will be the hardest to pin down for the writers. (If he makes it a one time thing, I will not be amused! )

Ha!  While I do <3 that song, I must agree with it being unfitting.  Besides, that cute little angel wing patch Garrus sports on the side of his armour has two wings ...And that was that was kind of a tangent on my part.

What about Breathe Me by Sia?  I'm not quite sure if it fits the Garrus romance or Thane better.  Eh, I like it for Garrus

Oh, Gods, I'm writing this scene right now...the crew thinks Garrus spent the night before the Omega-4 relay with Tali. End response: Squicked Tali, Garrus protesting it would be like sleeping with his sister, Tali agreeing emphatically--then going back to writing long, mushy letters to Kal'Reegar.



Seriously, I do see Tali and Garrus with that kind of sibling dynamic. They care about each other, express it by annoying one another, and would be completely grossed out at the notion of doing anything romantic together.

There should at least be as much romance content in ME3 for each character as there was in ME1 and ME2. I'm hoping that Bioware does not create new romances and instead just focus on the ones they have. I mean, they already have 9. Plus, the new ME3 romances will be at a distinct disadvantage anyway.

An expansion pack that connected ME2 and ME3 would be great, but I hope there wouldn't be any "required" DLC that I would need to even play ME3, or one that would give each of my Shepards the same "canon" ending if I don't have the DLC. >_>; I don't mind missing out on things like the Hammerhead or Kasumi too much, but anything that's necessary to complete the story should really be released on a disk.

A song that wouldn't fit the Garrus romance? I can think of a lot of them... mostly fight songs for my Shepards, and I doubt the song I picked for Shepard #7 and Aria would work for Garrus. xD (Also, now that you mention it, One-Winged Angel would be good background battle music for my Renegon Adept.)

I really think if they are going to do a "bridge the gap" deal, it'll be an expansion and if it's an expansion, it'll most certainly be on a disc. At least that's what I hope. In all honesty, though, I really don't know what to make of that idea. I'm of the opnion that ME2 doesn't really need an epilogue. I'd rather them spend those resources patching the things wrong with ME2, writing DLC more relevant to my interests (IE romance pack, more dialogue, basically anything having to do with Garrus) and of course, infusing ME3 with the epicness it deserves. But that's just me.

I dunno what I want, but I think I'd be satisfied with all these suggestions or DLC ideas coming up.

I doubt Awakening will be required for DA2, so I don't think there's any reason to worry. More likely, the (purely hypothetical, of course, whatever EA spokespeople might say) expansion will act like a bigger version of Bring Down the Sky - adding small amounts of content and references within the sequel but not being a required experience. It'll be a side story, rather than something that moves forward directly the fight against the Reapers.
