Garrus Love and Adoration v.2

Irregardless of my feelings towards the squad mates of ME2, I now feel that Shepard needs them. Ash/Kaidan can screw off. Liara is welcome because she's proven to be only the greatest friend of all time (distant and cold, my ass). Pay Zaeed to stay, cure Thane, give Jack hugs, et cetera, et cetera!

Lyrics to Bryan Adams' "(Everything I Do) I Do It For You," because I was too lazy earlier to go find them for you guys. Apparently this was the theme song for Robin Hood, back in the 90s I believe but I don't remember. Like I said before, the lyrics totally go with the FemShep/Garrus romance.
And now I'm imagining Garrus finding the song, and trying to sing it to Shepard. Badly. Because we all know how his efforts at wooing/seduction tend to go.
Garrus> (sings at Shepard)
Shepard> Are you all right? Did you get something caught in your throat? Come here, let me see.
Garrus> I thought you were supposed to like it if I serenaded you.
Shepard> Oh. Um, about that...

Fuggin' finally.
I use FRAPS to capture vids/screenies... and it's been bugging the hell out of me, but sometimes, if I start taking screen shots, the sound will cut out of any further vids I take, and I'm stuck having to restart. It gets annoying after a while.
But yay! Some day I'll turn all this gig hoggin' stuff into a vid. Just gotta find the right song for it. I've got tons of Garrus/Thane footage... any suggestions? Oo

So, I played a little earlier today just before work, saved the game, turned off my console, etc. When I load up the save, guess who is standing right on top of Shepard... It made me LOL a little. I was like, "Hey, wassup, Garrus? Getting dirty with Shep while I'm away? All right. I can dig it."
He does look a bit sheepish there doesn't he? Like I caught them in the act or something. "Quick, turn away! We've been discovered!"

EDIT: On a random note.. Every time I see someone with the Inferno Armor avatar, I think, "Why do so many people use an Iron Man picture on the BioWare forums? They should use a BioWare character!" ... And then I realize it's not Iron Man.

This is pretty much my thinking, especially when they made such a big deal elbowing each other over seeing who would cheat on their ME1 LI's. I think they put all their collective eggs into the "ME2 characters > ME1 characters" basket and will see that it mostly paid off - at this point I'd take Mordin, Thane & Samara over Kaidan, Liara & Wrex.Briallen wrote...
Speaking as one of the people who's assuming (until officially told otherwise) that ME2 squadmates will be ME3 cameos, the major reason I'm thinking that is because BioWare has specifically gone on record as saying that the ME1 love interests were not squadmates in ME2 simply because BioWare was trying to "protect" them from being killable. In other words, they were saving them from the suicide mission so that they could be assured of having a bigger role in ME3. The obvious implication, then, is that being on the suicide squad in ME2 means that a character's chances of playing a major role or being a squadmate in ME3 are up in the air at best.
Of course, it's all moot if BioWare was just pulling that "we're keeping the ME1 LIs out of ME2 so they can have big roles in ME3!" stuff out of their butts in a belated attempt to calm the enraged Kaidan/Ashley/Liara fans. Which is certainly a distinct possibility.

Well, if someone explained it to my Shepard like that, she'd probably be happy to do the mission.Nightfire78 wrote...
Ah, sorry, misunderstood that then. My bad!
It was right up my Shep's alley... she likes people reaping what they sow, so trapping Morinth by playing the false love like Morinth traps her "prey" was just right for herAn option to have someone else do it and then sniper shoot her in the head would have also been acceptable for her, though
Almost everything Shep. says to Jacob sounds too flirty for me because of the voice acting they put on it... even things that aren't flirt options and are not interpreted as such by the game/Jacob. I finally chose to pretend that Shep. has heard Jacob's skeazy come on lines to someone else and is making fun of him with her "sexy voice", only he doesn't get itThat then made the dialogues much more fun for me, and in the end they were buds and nothing flirty ever happened
Never had the advert claim I was with Thane... of course I did Garrus' loyalty mission as soon as possible and started up the romance right away, so it probably never got the chance to make a mistake LOL
Thane did end up calling my Shep. "siha" as well, but there was never any option to stop or start a romance in my dialogues. I asked what it meant, he said maybe he'd tell me some day, and then he needed the rest of the game to "think about what we'd already talked about". I have heard, though, that other romances become unavailable if you have not initiated them yet and are at the "definite date" level with someone else (except for Kelly, or so I've heard). Never purposely tested it, though.
That's a good way to ignore Shepard's flirty voice. xD It just confused me because I thought that if all of the options sounded flirty, then there must be no option to not flirt with him, and that leads my Shepard to only ask him about upgrades and his loyalty mission.
Maybe that's why I didn't see an option to flirt with Thane. I did the missions all out of order and already got through all of Garrus' dialogue before recruiting Thane. Somehow, I managed to finish Jacob's mission, skip Miranda's for a while, and then work up to Garrus. According to my strategy guide, that should not even be possible. o_o; I'm going to have trouble getting Miranda's loyalty back though... I had no Paragon/Renegade options during the fight, then I had the Paragon one but wanted the Renegade one, and now I have neither.
@SavageLycan: I've wanted to see Garrus dancing for a few months now, since I played ME1.
Also, about the turian councillor... it would be nice if that turned out to be true, and they really do believe Shepard even though they can't trust her as long as she's working with Cerberus.
In response to Shepard's "imaginary relationship" with Garrus, she would say "That was sooo Mass Effect 1." xD

Shepard #7 is one of my favorites. Some of those Renegade interrupts (especially shooting the tank underneath the krogan) just seem like they were made for him. Also, when Garrus told Shepard #2 that he "learned from the best" during his loyalty mission, she learned from Shepard #7.aznsoisauce wrote...
By the way, Kim, I forgot to tell you that your Shepard #7 is a Shep after my own heart. <3

I have no idea what use turian mandibles would have. xD The first time I saw them puff out though (for lack of a better description word), I thought it was adorable. It really adds some great expression to their faces.

I love how they twitch when Garrus is sighting on Sidonis. I think it's the turian equivalent of sticking out your tongue in concentration there. Or it could just be to add emphasis to various emotions. It does seem like the twitching happens most when a turian is surprised, indignant, concentrating, laughing, or some other reasonably intense emotion.
By the by, do you guys ever venture out into the rest of the forums. It's a scary place out there. I always retreat back in here. I love how even when the occasional troll does show up, you guys just smother them with a mixture of indifference, logic, wit, and smiley emoticons. They just vanish. Anyway, back of topic.

But I wanted to add that through out their conversation as friends and lovers showed vulnerablity from both of them. Shep is always so strong for everyone else, but with Garrus she keeps mentioning how much she needs someone that she can trust. She sounded alone and, well tired.
I like that it was awkward, it should be. They see each other as a best friend, they are already past the "lets get to know each other" stage. They are comfortable with their platonic relationship, so moving past that would make anyone nervous. I'm keeping this relationship and I hope to see it further developed in next game. I don't know much about the other romances, but the Garrus romance is the first time I saw Shepard needing someone in an emotional level. Who wouldn't trust Garrus?

Turian: You humans are all racist! >_>; Except for you, you're just insane.
Good point, maybe they are mainly used to express emotion.
Sometimes I read the other threads on the forums, but I mostly just reply here. xD
