I seriously cannot think how anyone that stupid could reject garrus right there after all that action.

Me, either.

No, i seriously think that your pc or xbox would liquidate or blow up after you do something that stupid. Its garrus's revenge against people with an iq of a dried grape.

Your screenies are tip toppity, X! I love Garrus POINTING EMPHATICALLY. Always makes me squee.

Glad to see the thread's picked up with some lively conversation! Dead Garrus thread means this lowly fanfic'er gets no inspiration and my poor WIP needs some CPR stat. Or perhaps I should write a crackfic of my own. Hmm...

Oh! Image IPB Speaking of crackworks....Flammie, I saw this Disney channel movie on TV earlier. I have no idea what the plot was supposed to be other than some kid running around in a chicken suit at basketball games and ending up beloved by the entire community. I thought of you. Oh yeah, and Garrus.

Reject Garrus, play though entire game, come to fight Sovereign: CRITICAL MISSION FAIL. YOU HAVE NOT GOT ENOUGH AWESOME TO DEFEAT THE REAPERS.

Man, I haven't posted on this for a couple of days, because I haven't had time to sit and catch up on it all. I must set aside some time this eve.

Side question: Can turians cry?

I thought about rewriting Rare Old Mountain Dew's lyrics to fit Garrus/Mass Effect universe/Garrus thread. Maybe we could do it together? ANYTHING to keep this thread alive :P. Original lyrics here.

I already started modifying the first verse:

Let the Reapers grow
and the smoothies flow in a free and easy way
But give us enough of the rare old stuff
that makes us feel ok
Come fangirls all from America,
England and Holland too
Oh, we'll give 'em a slip
and we'll take a sip of the rare old mountain dew

And then I ran out of inspiration. If anyone wants to continue it, please do.

GARRUS.

They'd probably have to keep their eyes moist, so tear ducts would exist.  Now, whether they cry for emotional reasons... I don't know.  They seem to have similar emotional reactions as humans (anger, laughter), so I really don't see why not.

They probably have the physical ability to cry but all that focus on discipline leads me to think that they have a good hold on their feelings for the most part. I can't imagine we'll see a turian break down in tears at some point...unless it's on a turian soap opera.

What lighting?

Awesome screenshots, Xsause. My Garrus in ME1 is still low res... such a difference.

WANT TURIAN SOAP OPERA!:wizard:

I just wondered from an internal monologue point of view if they could relate to tears, or rather, holding tears back is all. I had thought the answer would be no, but then couldn't think of an emotional alternative. lol  (don't worry, I'm not making Garrus cry)

Excellent screenies, Xsause. Oh, were he but an LI option in ME1, Kaiden wouldn't ever have had a chance.
(well, maybe a second or third playthrough chance. Kaiden's pretty easy on the eyes, nekkid.)

Well we know for sure that Asari can cry and Tali certainly sounded like she was crying when she found Rael's body, so tears aren't a unique human thing by any means. In real biology, every organism on earth with eyes that doesn't live underwater has tear ducts, they need to be kept moist to avoid damage. Humans, however, are the only animals who seem to have the tear ducts flare up and overflow when experiencing intense emotions. Of course, humans are also the only species on Earth to HAVE complex emotions, so meh. It's something to ponder about because evolution-wise, crying doesn't appear to serve any clear biological benefit. An expression of intense emotion seems more like a cultural thing, which alien species could most certainly have other gestures for.

A while ago someone posted a drawing of Garrus reading in bed with his arm around a sleeping Shepard. Would the artist mind PMing me a copy of it? I loved that one and wanted to show it to someone. Thank you in advance.

Oooh! Me too, me too! ^_^

Oh, and I retconned my latest PT and tried to do it the way it was suggested a while back....wound up divebombing after Thane and having Garrus pull me into the ship. :/ Well, at least Garrus lived and I killed off all of the humans but Miranda while keeping the aliens alive. Image IPB

Well, I was gonna try to take an ME break for a while for my DH's sake, but....MShep cad/Kirk PT here I come!! Image IPB

Eh, just for the rest of the thread I guess. I can't confirm, but looking at the art style it looks like blueL's work:
