Funny story, after playing Dragon Age again... I have to say, BRAVO Mass Effect artists. The atmosphere you guys create with the lighting in ME2 is LEAPS AND BOUNDS above what I'm getting from Dragon Age. Leaps and BOUNDS.



And I've just gone through like a hundred and some odd pages of Garrus fan art on DA... and still didn't finish. Oy! There's such pretty stuff on there though...

Yes, in one of his ME1 conversations with Shepard he recounts about his experience investigating a case involving an elcor serial killer who was cutting people up, sending the whole station into a frenzy of panic.

I was going to replay ME1 right after I finished Awakening... then I got to the final battle in Awakening, and I'm pretty sure all of my Warden's teammates got killed in the first five seconds. D: My Warden was killed in less than a minute. I was playing on Casual!

I've never heard of that quote about Garrus and the killer elcor though, and I've played through ME1 twice. o_o; I thought I saw all of his conversations... except, on the off-chance this was a Paragon only conversation, then I wouldn't have seen it.

That boss battle destroyed me at first, haha.  I think I died in the first couple minutes too.  I had to cluster my people all back in the doorway to the room (ranged people in the back, tank and/or melee up front) and just slowly decimate the descending horde of maggot things.  Eventually they'll stop spawning, then run forward and cast huge area spells over-top of boss lady and hit her with ranged --until she start producing maggots again, rinse and repeat

I would LOVE to have an upload of those files somewhere, I would be forever in your debt!  We should have the Garrus related ones linked the in OP too!

Not that I'm Eradyn, but Garrus talks about the Elcor when he first tells you about Dr. Saleon. He doesn't go into details, just mentions that it happened. Same conversation he tells you about the krogan testicles, I believe.

@Mariquis: Thanks for the advice! Now I know what I was doing wrong. My Warden's a mage, and she didn't run far away from the boss. There are maggots later? I didn't survive long enough to see them yet. xD

@Pacifen: Wow, I never noticed that part before. Maybe I just chose the wrong conversation options. I'll try to find it in my next playthrough.

I like elcor. I did think it was some sort of strange walrus/seal when I first saw one (Harlot in Omega).

I remember the Elcor serial killer. I remember thinking it was a bit embarrassing for his victims. Killed by a Turian or Batarian? Fair enough. Asaris? Sure. Elcor? Well, that's just unfortunate. (not as bad as Volus. But still.) OK, I know Elcor are mad strong, but don't you think you should at least hear them coming?
Had to wonder if he said anything before he killed.

Thanks for posting the vid tho. That conversation is the one which always implies to me that Garrus has been at C-Sec roughly as long as Shep's been Alliance. Man, I wish I had my copy of ME1 back! I really want to do a Garrus-centric PT in preperation for being LIless going into ME2 (no drama for Shep and Gar in ME3, y'see. Well, aside from the whole galaxy destroying sentiant machines, that is. But that's fine.)
