/snipped excellent Garrus character analysis

Very intriguing...they really have the potential here to mature his character into something very special in the third game, if done right.  Good analysis. ^_^

^This.

I couldn't sit down and think/write all that kinda stuff about Garrus.
I'll just sit here and stare at him until I go to bed.
Freaks the hub out something fierce.

And dang it, I should play KotOR... but ... Star Wars makes me /flump  (I'm also getting in a Dragon Age flump because of the change in party dynamics with DA:OA.  I want my Alistair back /sniffle.)

I clearly have too much free time, haha. I didn't plan to write that much but I got carried away. ...Damn now I feel like I should save it somewhere since I spent all that time on it.

Oh Alistair,  I miss you so. :( Awakenings makes me even more positive that if the ME2 cast were to be replaced in ME3, it would bother me a lot.

Yea. Going through the entire game recruiting and gaining loyalty of squad mates just to have them magically disappear makes zero sense. ME2 would be almost entirely invalidated if who survived did not matter.

They have to make *something* matter. Like I said, I have faith, until proven otherwise.

I'll be frank when I say the thing that really sets the ME universe apart for me is that it's populated by great characters. I don't want Shepard to start over from ground zero. It just wouldn't be the same. I was pissed that 2/3 of the ME1 squad got sidelined but Bioware eased my pain by picking my two favorites to keep, and if we don't at least get SOME of our people back (preferably those who have the most history with Shepard and reason to be loyal to him, like our man Garrus), it'll ruin the game for me.

Plus, Garrus literally has no storyline justification at all to leave, romance or not.

These two things are so true, I just can't say it any better.

And at this point, anything that they tried to concoct would smack of some crappy plot device.
And with that last pearl of wisdom, I'm off to bed.  <3 to all

I don't think BioWare would just give all of the ME2 squadmates cameos. Like everyone else said, we spent a whole game recruiting the best, and to get rid of them now would just seem pointless. It would make sense for some characters to help out in a different way (like Wrex getting the krogan on our side, even though I would like to see him back as a squadmate), and a few others might have just allied with Shepard for this one mission against the Collectors, but most of them really should be squadmates in ME3, at least in my opinion.

Agree with kim. Especially since they built all that back story with all the me2 squads and garrus and tali was already in two games. Why in the holy name of mr.blazenglazen would they be stupid enough to just add those two as cameos?

I missed crouching in ME2.

If you're on the xbox, crouching is left thumbstick pressed down, IIRC.

MB - that was just  :D

NEVER apologise for wall of text...it was great.  Anytime you want to share more character analysis, go for it!
And I agree with everything you said and I loved reading it.

crouching is not needed anymore because of the new cover system.

...There's a crouching button? xD Wow, two full playthroughs of ME1 and I don't think I realized that yet (or if I did on my first playthrough, I must have forgotten). Between ME2 and Awakenings though, I was really off with the controls on Eden Prime at first. I kept clicking the zoom in button thinking it was the power wheel. (That might have also been the first time I realized there was a zoom in button.)

I just reached the Citadel now and talked with Pallin. Did anyone else notice his face plates are two different colors? I don't remember seeing any other turians like that, or with light metallic blue tattoos.

I'm also keeping a save right before Shepard's visions from the beacon, which is right before the scene where Saren gets angry and growls/roars. :D I couldn't find that scene on youtube before when someone brought it up...

Anything...we are in need of entertainment before RL starts interferring with Garrus time. Argh...RL...overrated I say!

I noticed that too Kim, about the different colors. It looks quite nice. Which reminds me, the Turians are very well designed.

Alot of work went into them, Saren and Garrus stand out tho. Alot of work went into them.
