I like having Garrus with me on the SM, but on the other hand he's so dang ready and rarin' to go when you make him fireteam leader. I've had to learn to use other combos of squadmates. He still is my primary choice for the endboss. He's awesome at keeping the collectors off me while I focus on the bigger enemies. I've been saved more than once from Husks by one of his concussive shots. It makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside, thinking about him looking out for FemShep.

I love concussive shot. It's particularly useful for barriers, which I hate, and many of the collectors have them. It's one of the more useful powers.

But really if you zoom in on the artwork the artist did do a very good job, too.  But I wish the facepaint was more pronounced.

He said it was a work in progress (kind of hard to imagine since it's done so well) so he might enhance his face paint in later versions. It was indeed very well done. Garrus looks so freaking cool in that picture.

That's true, I didn't mention it wasn't done.  I agree that he looks very cool there.  It's actually one of my favorites containing Garrus that I've seen.  I already love it. :happy:

I missed a few pages... and most importantly, page 666. D:

Anyway, I'm not quite sure how the turian militray works because the only turian whose service history I know about is Saren, and he seems to be a special case - joined up at 15 (the standard age), was promoted to active service one year later, and I think he became a Spectre at 19-20, but he was the youngest turian Spectre. Nihlus' page on the Wiki had some information about his service history, but I'd have to check again to see if it gave years.

As for Dragon Age, it's one of my favorite games, but I like the Mass Effect characters much better. It seems like a lot of Garrus fans like Alistair too, but that wasn't the case for me. He was pretty nice most of the time, just not my favorite type of character. (I think Saren fits my favorite character "type" really well. Maybe Garrus is the midway point between Saren and Alistair - it would explain a lot.)

...Now I know why I got to the Citadel before you when we both started replaying ME1 at about the same time. xD I'm playing on Casual for the third time. It was the first time I managed to find all of those explosives Saren set up without needing to reload because time ran out.

I remember dying most egregiously (my apologies to Wayne's World, truly groundbreaking 90's cinema indeed)
with that @#$% bomb stuff.../I finally figured out by taking the right-hand bridge my chances were a lot better.  I will get off Eden Prime tonight, this I swear!!

Most annoying parts of ME1 were the Benezia fight and the fight before you enter the mine on Therum. Reloaded sooo many times. On ME1, that reminds me, the fight against the Thorian was fun.

There was too many gliches in that fight, plus if you brought Liara with you for the unique dialog, she shot at you for no reason half the time
