Most annoying parts of ME1 were the Benezia fight and the fight before you enter the mine on Therum. Reloaded sooo many times. On ME1, that reminds me, the fight against the Thorian was fun.

There was too many gliches in that fight, plus if you brought Liara with you for the unique dialog, she shot at you for no reason half the time :pinched:

you could just take an extra 5 minutes to wiggle the mako through the rocks, making that fight way too easy.

If the Talimancers wish an ambassador, I humbly accept, although I don't think it's necessary as Tali and Garrus fans seem to go together already! :D

They should. They both have links to ME1, and they were both brought back due to popular demand. And they are both Dextro. Plus that conversation about the elevators.

Plus they are both simply awesome.

Ya...and then it wont let you out because you arent on a level surface and you can either spend 20 minutes and try to wiggle it out, or restart <_<

I hated the Benezia fight the first time I did it. Image IPB  Especially when her biotics got me stuck in weird places and I had to reload.

I never got the glitch where I got stretched, but I did die many times while fighting Benezia. Yea, the cutscenes were so annoying...every time I died I had to see them again and again and again...but here's the stretch glitch in case someone hasn't seen it or they want to look back and laugh

But I love Garrus's response, should you bring him against the Thorian (and why *should* you not?) :P

...Now I know why I got to the Citadel before you when we both started replaying ME1 at about the same time. xD I'm playing on Casual for the third time. It was the first time I managed to find all of those explosives Saren set up without needing to reload because time ran out.

Dang those melonfarming explosives XD
I remember dying most egregiously (my apologies to Wayne's World, truly groundbreaking 90's cinema indeed)
with that @#$% bomb stuff.../I finally figured out by taking the right-hand bridge my chances were a lot better.  I will get off Eden Prime tonight, this I swear!! :D

I was really surprised that I found them all this time with no back-tracking, disabled them and took out the geth with three minutes left. o_o; I don't even remember how many tries it took during my first playthrough, but it was enough to slowly get better each time, then worse a couple times, and then better again before I finally found them all. Second playthrough probably took closer to three tries. I'm getting better at it, just like the Mako! But then there's the thresher maw. >.>; I only managed to defeat it last time because my Sentinel had Stasis.

I actually had no problems with the Benezia fight... no glitches there for me. I think I only had two glitches, but I got stuck in random places - once on the stairs/pathway in the Feros building, and another time on (probably) Noveria when Shepard walked into a small space and got trapped inside for a while by the squadmates.

I never tire of this picture.

Also, currently working on a Garrus piece I sketched a long while ago.

I laughed out loud. xD Shepard's face at 0:38... it's like she's looking back at her stretched-out neck.

@kglaser: I like that line too. But my current Shepard is bringing Tali and Kaidan to Feros, so I won't get to hear it this time around.

Image IPBDon't remind me of the thresher maws!  I hated exploring because I was always worried one would jump out at me Image IPB.  It got so bad that I eventually only drove the Mako on the mountain ridges...

Yea, those were annoying in ME1. Getting killed in one hit because the Thresher Maw randomly jumped out of the ground right next to you and you didn't save in 40 minutes = not fun.

I have a save fetish for the very thing. I just know that something bad will happen, and all that game time with no saves will all be for nothing. Also, having multiple saves is a must.

I learned all of the above the hard way.

You can tell where the nests are, I learned to do this the hard way. If there is a large, circular patch of raised land, all flat with the exception of a few small circular protrusions, that is a possible Threasher nest.

During my first playthrough, I was glad that wasn't a required mission, but then I found out it was Cerberus-related and this Shepard is a Sole Survivor. It'll be one of the last missions I get around to. I worked out a pretty good system last time with running and shooting... Maybe it'll work for my Vanguard too? I save really often now, but it's still annoying when the thresher maw jumps out of the ground directly under the Mako. D: Instant critical mission failure.

Garrus could have sent someone with Sidonis, because you don't leave your team with out there leader. Garrus should have preped his team for if there HQ got attacked, but he did not. He might be able to keep a team together in a firefight but other than that he can't lead.

Hi everyone ../../../images/forum/emoticons/joyful.png

I hope you don't mind me poking in for a bit?

Reading
the discussion on why Garrus went to Omega kind of got me
thinking...There's a lot that Garrus and Warden Kuril have in common
(except that Garrus isn't corrupt).  Both worked in law enforcement.
Both were frustrated with the red tape and seeing criminals get away.
Both left to solve the problem in their own way in the Terminus
Systems.  IIRC, Garrus even approves of the premise Purgatory was
founded on.  Do you suppose Garrus might have eventually become another
Warden Kuril had he never met Shepherd?

"You're a two-bit
slaver and I don't have time for it." Heh, that's one of my favorite Shepard lines.

I like to see Garrus as a more 'light side' character, for all his chaotic leanings, but you do have an interesting point. But the main difference is that Kuril's 'ideals' were all lip service, and he was only really in it for the money. Recall that his pre-battle lines were stuff like 'You could have made me a rich man, Shepard'. I don't think Garrus could fall far enough to totally pervert his ideals like that--I see him snapping to extremism (like Omega and Sidonis, very black-and-white justice, just hope you don't fall into his 'bad' category because you're not gonna get a chance to tell him your side of the story. I'd bet that a Garrus that never met Shepard would have some trouble with police brutality charges somewhere down the line) much more easily than going totally backwards into caring only about money. So I guess Kuril's like Bizarro Garrus.

Yeah really, its not like shepard was any better, but in the end if you were smart enough you could get everyone back out alive. And with that being said sand king, that still doesn't explain  why he works so well in the suicide mission does it?

Shepard: Garrus i want you as fire team squad leader
*Garrus leads distraction team for a surprise attack at collectors*
Garrus: Hey tali could you come over here for a second, i want to speak to you in private.
*Goes around the corner and talks to tali while everyone else gets slaughtered*
