Betraying Garrus was a poor action, definitely, but you couldn't say it was completely idiotic, if you consider what he was being pressured by, and he may have been subject to torture, as said.

His reaction to Sidonis depends on how much closure Garrus has managed to get, I guess.

As for Sidonis doing community service, well, I guess a meeting between him and Kolyat would be interesting.

Desktop Background: I believe I set this one at first because I thought it was quite adorable. I don't think I've ever gotten around to changing it...

True.  But I still have nothing but contempt for the guy.  Might be because Meghan Shepard's too close to the surface today.  Not the most empathetic of my Shepards.  She's still letting him live for Garrus' sake, though.

Turian relationships: I always felt like turians had more supressed emotions than humans to begin with (outside of anger, drive, etc.). Keeping with the theme of being regimented and controlled. Garrus' relationship with FemShep, however- I mean, the big thing was that she was a human, and he just never stopped to think about it. Even among his own species, if his reach.flexibility story is any indication, his relationships weren't particularly deep. Plus, it indicates that the turian female took the initiative in that, too- maybe Garrus really is that knight errant who excels in slaying bad guys but not so much with wooing the damsels, and waits for them to make a move. "Well, if she doesn't show interest in me, she must not be interested and I'm wasting both our time."

.........so, yeah. Garrus. I got the cuttlebone line and...was surprised at how PO'd Jacob was. Made me feel a little bit bad. For about five seconds. Now I'm gonna use another save to do the same thing, but with Thane. This FemShep is a jerkwad.

Jacob is a sore loser, I've concluded.  He doesn't deal well with rejection at any stage. 

Thane seems to be fine with a chivalrous adoration if you reject him.

Garrus, on the other hand, goes to the opposite extreme and blames himself.

It's possible he had a bad gut feeling about Sidonis, because he says "I should have seen it coming". But Garrus is someone who blames himself for everything. The e-mail sent by Nalah Butler (widow of one of his squadmates) clearly states this. She writes, "I know Garrus blames himself [about his squad getting killed]; he took every shot fired at his squad as a failure on his part". He blames himself for everything, because he's supposed the leader of his team and should protect them. If one of his men got wounded in a battle, he blames himself for not being able to prevent this. This could be due to his turian roots, because higher ranked turians are supposed to lead and protect lower ones. He was the leader, so he feels responsible for everything happening to his squad. That's another turian trait, because they are taught a strong sense of personal accountability.

Depends on which time.  If you do it, like I did (accidentally) before the Omega 4 Relay, he agrees you should just be friends, but it's so dejected and depressed sounding it broke my heart.  It goes without saying that I reloaded immediately.  

I mean, it sounded so pitiful, my HUSBAND felt bad for him.

I haven't been able to do it when he gets up to your quarters, though.  I'm sure it's on Youtube somewhere.

Pretty sad to reject, Garrus or Tali...they both went through a lot of effort for Shepard, and Shepard rejects them? That would be another thing for Garrus that didn't work out...sad. But neither of them those happened in my playthroughs, so

I think Jacob has a temper he doesn't show often. His cuttlebone comment, anger at his father (which is, of course, justified), and his dig at Tali when you recruit her (which I think was intentional - I don't think he's ignorant of quarian/AI difficulties) all seem to confirm that to me.
