Hey guys!

Visiting from the Tali thread.

Just wanted to say how awesome you guys are. Definately the most chill fanbase on these forums.

If you don't mind, I'd like to hang around a bit? Just needed to get out of there before another biological kids discussion occurs.

Well uh...we were talking about mutant babies here so nowhere is safe.

NOWHERE!

jk you could stay. want some tapioca?

Uhh... Tapioca?

Is that some kind of inside joke?

I'm the thread's tapioca chef. Image IPB Specially calibrated

I think I will.

It's nice...

If I refresh, twenty pages don't go by.

Seriously, the Tali thread is like the Flash on meth.

What, doesn't everyone have one?
(haha, we are extremely weird.  But we are lovable.)
Honestly, I don't remember how we ended up appointing Mr. our tapioca chef.  But I like it. :wizard:

eta:  Yes Lividity, it is hard for me to keep up in there...if I ask a question I don't even bother to go back for the answer if enough time has elapsed to microwave a burrito.  After that amount of time, I have no hope of finding the answer, much less my original question. LOL

Thankfully, Jones, everyone in this thread hates the idea of biological children with aliens. :)

This thread is the best one on the forums IMO. Rightfully so, since it's Garrus. (pretty cool guy)

I don't hate the idea.

I just don't think it can be done while maintaining the integrity of the narrative.

But let's not drag the thread in that direction.

What are we discussing at the moment?

I gave you the sad puppy eyes when you were appointing people, remember?

Oh, right Mr.! Now I remember. I have a list somewhere. :D

And the current topic may be up in the air...a significant number of our regulars might be asleep as they are located in Europe. There was a somewhat off-topic bit about the suicide mission survival strategies and then before that we were discussing how to reject Jacob to get him to call Garrus a cuttlebone. Earlier, there was a rather weighty discussion about Garrus's life between the events of ME1 and ME2.

Feel free to suggest something. We love discussing all things Garrus here. :)

So, does Garrus's visor stay orange if he's wearing his alt outfit during the romance scene?

I think that meeting Shepard really influenced Garrus. Even if you didn't recruit him (Vader: NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!), he's insipired by Shepard who changes up the system and gets Spectrehood and chases after Saren, and succeeds. After Shepard dies, Garrus tries to follow Shepard's example and try to do what's right without worrying about the red tape all the time. That's why he goes to Omega and starts laying the smack down on criminals.

I thought he was required. In ME one and two.

I've been away playing ME2 today (AGAIN), trying desperately to actually romance Jacob this time around. It's so hard! Wanting to talk to Garrus instead is like a drug nagging and pulling at me. What is this ridiculous drive to want to see all the dialogue? I fear I may fall into the famous Start-a-new-game-to-romance-Jacob-romance-Garrus-anyway trap.

I always hear people mentioning this dialogue, but have never heard it.

If it's true, then I have even more of a reason to dislike him.

I did lose a lot of respect for Jacob when I heard that he calls Garrus that.

No, you can get away without recruiting him in ME1. It requires ninja skillz though.

The answer is simple. Romance Jacob. Then dump him and romance Garrus after the suicide mission.

Yep...apparently if you don't recruit Garrus you need to recruit Wrex and vice versa.

I definitely consider him required, whenever available.  However, the game DOES allow you to never recruit him in ME1.  Personally, I consider the mere thought so horrible, I immediately push it out of my mind.  Actually, I think you can refuse to recruit Wrex too.  Why wouldn't you get everyone you could?  To think otherwise is so bizarre for me.
