I'd forgotten about the Asari Consort and my Shep's "alien cherry," though. Even funnier, Garrus AND Kaiden were in my party when I hit that renegade choice.

Since then, I never help the Consort anymore. She's the worst asari sterotype they could have written, specially if they wanted us to understand the asari in a not-simplistic way.

Yes but why is there an Asari Stereotype? Because Liara said there was? They're has to be SOME basis for the claim other then "Oh Liara told me there was"
So I think she's important in that role as to WHY people think of the Asari that way. But maybe I'm biased because I actually liked the consort. (No I didn't sleep with her)

Well, you're right about that. It's just that I see her as the idea of "everybody loves asari in this galaxy". Mostly because of how she reaches her arm to touch Shepard, and then actually wishpers in his ear, and I can't do anything to stop it. Because aparently, as I said, "everybody loves and respects the f*cking asari"!
Thank god ME2 gave us Samara, and Aria, and detective Anaya, and Matriarch Aethyta... Well, you get my point. Shiala makes me clench my teeth, tough, but so does Parasini. Grr...

Yeah, I have to say there are very few characters in the ME universe that I hate, most of them are Volus. I just can't get over the wheezing, and that one who was being mean to that Quarian just makes me wish there was a renegade inturupt to kick him in the face or something.
But you all make valid points, personal space is a good thing.

I'm generally pretty iffy on the asari characters in general. None of them really leaped out at me as being awesome until Samara - her I like a lot, from her design (sans the shirt cut to her naval and the heeled boots, but I can live with those) to her personality.
And holy wow, I'm nearly 23, not attending college and still living with my parents. I don't feel guilty in the slightest, at least not today. I do work...occasionally.. No, but seriously, I'm not going to move out of the house so I can go live in an apartment in town or in the city somewhere. I like living rural and away from people, so as long as my parents will have me, I'm staying right here.

Neither does Shepard, really. Or they simply both knowingly break it for their purposes.MarginalBeast wrote...

Either way, Garrus is close to her age. And I can't imagine either of them really going their whole lives without getting intimate with anyone. Not that either of them are ****s (Unless you go by this, which I honestly cannot stop laughing at), but they're adults and fairly comfortable in their own skins and confident.
Are you talking about Garrus and Shepard or Garrus and Tali? 'Cause Shepard is whatever the player wants her to be, and I'm pretty sure that Tali is a virgin. She may not be, but that seems unlikely to me what with her health problems and all. She also mentioned that she has never linked suits with anyone--and don't quarians usually do that when they have sex (but not just for sexual purposes of course)? Maybe I'm not remembering aspects of their culture correctly but that was the impression I got.

People should be more family focused. If you hate your family then move, but there should be no reason why people should be shunned because they live with family. This just shows that you care about your family.
As for the Asari consort, I slept with her. I even had Garrus and Wrex with me at the time. I think Garrus even made a comment about it.

Actually, you start ME1 at the age of 27. The Codex tells you. So, when you begin ME2, you're 29 or so.

You know, I forgot that one could actually double check Shep's age in the codex like that. What's weird is that in ME1 (haven't tried ME2's character creator) you can make him/her look much older than 27 depending on what complexion you choose. And not older in like a....experienced or battle scarred way, but older as in dull saggier skin way, IIRC.

I'd like to see how Garrus reacts should that particular "flexible" female turian just happened to either cross paths with sheps crew in ME3, or if she happens to be a new squad mate option.... i could see that going somewhere extremely dynamic. Be interesting to see how awkward he is then....haha
My mostly-paragon Shepard would have problems dealing with that. Probably better to let Garrus just be a turian and be with another turian. On the other hand... letting him go? Ouch.

The benefits of having a geek for a mom, I have no shame in telling her how adorable Garrus is. The minute I heard he was romanceable I squealed and told her all about it. She watched the cutscene and was giggling and 'aww'ing right along with me (and said it was sweet). If she thinks it's weird, she's being kind and not mentioning it. xDNissun wrote...
I don't think anybody in my family thinks I have a crush on Garrus, I've never talked to them about boys and that stuff (neither my mother or my sister, I know it's not very normal). A while ago I hade like four drawings of Garrus in my wall, though, so my older brother (he plays mass effect too) may or may not deduce what's going on. I have no intention on discussing romantic interests with him any time soon.

@Mresa: Your fanart is looking awesome so far! I can't wait to see it finished!
@Von Verrikan: That turian councilor fanart is total WIN.
@Tavanaka: I lol'd! That's awesome. I tried that game, only got about fifteen seconds in. Too hard for me. xD;

I'm curious what relationships are like in Turian culture. If you go to Omega and talk to the Turian in the downstairs bar he calls his wife his 'mate'.
I REALLY hope we go to Palavern in ME3. Want Garrus to bring me home to meet the folks. Man that meeting will be fun. If you play War Hero I'd love it if you could introduce Garrus to your mom hahahah. Sorry mom if I'm having kids I'll have to adopt.

I know I've seen, from time to time, modded ME1 games in wich Shepard uses the models of different npcs. Along them, Garrus, and even Saren. It was really weird and funny, but then I thought: wouldn't it be possible to play as "a" turian? You know, using the model of any of those background turians you find in the citadel, or noveria... Not a known character, is what I mean.
Would it be possible? Wouldn't it be kinda cool?

EDIT: That would be pretty cool, Nissun. Except you'd still be Alliance and without
the voice flange, and having people call you 'human', so it would ruin
the immersion for me.

Hmm.... didn't really think about that delimma. My paragon shep would only have problems if maybe there were some unresolved feelings/emotions going on there (which would put an interesting kicker into the story) but i think she could either take it as "i need to leave him so they can be together"

Looks like he's not even playing. He's just staring over Shepard's shoulder. Is he helping her cheat?
Let's just be glad they aren't playing strip poker... Especially with Garrus just standing there. Staring.
