Oooh, an updated Masskink? Good times.

As for the Mass Effect codex, that'd be like, an RPG book, right? RIGHT?
/shifty eyes
Seriously... they just need to suck it up and WRITE THAT. Please? I'd pay for three of the damn books, just so I could get people to play it with me. I have friends who'd kill to play ME in a table top setting.
I wouldn't need them to make the cannon characters or anything... but the slew of OCs I have swimming around my brain pan would be happy.
And have female turians would make me ecstatic. As well as some other fun clues to their biology. Because speculating gets exhausting.

PLEASE give us a female turian. I was forced to create my own in order to hold myself over for the wait.<_<

That is something I have wanted since ME3

I was actually thinking more like a regular reference book (like some of the Star Wars Essential... books) but an RPG rulebook would be pretty kickass too.

In the meantime, these look like pretty good rules to use (it's a modification of the Star Wars Saga Edition rules). Haven't had a chance to try them yet though.

And I think we're all agreed female turians need to show up in ME3. Female krogan probably too, though I can understand leaving out female salarians.

Concerning biology, the Codex only mentions one species that lays eggs: salarians. Since that's a pretty huge biological peculiarity, I tend to think that most other species from the Codex has live births. Otherwise, the Codex would most probably mention that they don't; it IS there to point out the major differences between humans and other species, after all. So yeah, I think the more humanoid looking species have live births. Meaning, just about every other species except hanar, really.

On a completely different topic, having just completed Samara's LM (gosh, that final convo choice with Morinth where she sits next to you and her eyes go black...eek!!), an idea sprang to mind. How do you imagine a romanced Garrus would react to what Shep had to do in that mission? Would he be weirded out? Jealous? Relieved that she got out ok?

@ kglaser: Lol @ that Thane convo Image IPB That's exactly why I don't think I can bring myself to romance the poor guy.

I'm fairly sure I read a fic about this very subject somewhere...

As for the biological bit, I love the "I don't have a human fetish I SWEAR" line, because it's subtly saying "It's OK if it's you." I wrote a fic where Garrus is mentally worrying about not feeling physically attracted to her for just that reason- biologically and naturally it's his own species' females he's attracted to. But in the end, it's the psychological desire (dare we say the L word?) that brings him about. Image IPB Eventually I think the auto-physical attraction would follow.

Linky?

.......Okay. It was my first fanfic EVER, and I've been thinking very seriously about redoing it entirely. YOu know, perfecting the art of my Garrus love and all that. But here it is (and it is rated M for " Man, if you're not into adult situations and xenophilia do NOT click this link!!")

Okay, so I am waaaaay behind here...timezones...other side of planet...etc  etc  but that was just . When do we get the rest???  Would begging help? lol

Female turians ESPECIALLY need some air time.  Why?  Because we've been told now, in game context, that they are seen, combat wise, as equals with the males.  So, where are all the turian fems?  Unless that particular fem turian was some how unique?  If so, weaksauce.
Salarians I can completely understand being back at the homeworld (though it calls into question why Anderson came across a salarian female informant in Revelation) because we're told, they are the minority, they run things back home.

Quarian males/females look to be on par with each other, like humans.  As for the fem krogan, we're given the hint that hey, they have their own clans and structure...
Great, there's got to be some fem krogans out there who are past their breeding years?  Right?  Something?  WHERE IS THE ESTROGEN BioWare?!
Or the alien equvilant?!
Oh and let's not forget the drell/hanar fems...

I should stop now before I totally derail myself...
Garrus... right.

Yea, Saren had all sorts of strange upgrades that should have tipped the Council off to something being rotten w/ him.
But that's another story.
Turian hands look really strange in that they have a very large gap between the fingers.  Quarian hands look managable, but I can't figure out how it'd feel to have turian hands, unless I just cut off my middle and ring finger.  Quarian hands look almost like you're doing the "Live long and prosper" and looks well, much easier to maniplulate stuff with.

Their hands are perfectly designed for giving the horns.  Clearly their evolution was affected by many conceptions at port-a-johns at metal concerts.

How any LI would react to the Morinth mission is an interesting subject. However, since you are actually required not to have sex with her (otherwise you'll die), I think most would be okay with it, unless they're really clingy (which I think none of them are).

"Be it angry sex or just them trying to figure out ways to use their biotics sexually on one another I do not care. I just want it to happen."

Whoever that is really wants it to happen.

Also regarding Turians I noticed that they explained Saren's head structure as something that was an oddity, but I haven't seen any other Turians like that either.

Does anyone remember what Nihlus's fingers looked like or is Garrus the odd man out?

Actually there was a female hanar on the cover of Fornax.

So hanar got females before turians...

Good point about drell, but given that hanar are basically giant space jellyfish, I doubt they have sexes as we understand them. Besides, even if they did, how would you tell the difference? For all we know we've only seen female hanar.

I think his first reaction would be shock, but I don't think he'd over react (like I've seen him do in some fics out there.)
Shepard can handle herself.  She's a strong willed woman.  I think he'd realize she's going in there knowing the risk.  On top of that... it's his old stomping ground, and Morinth is murdering people there.  I think he'd want to help as much as he could.

Image IPB

Can't tell, gloves have armor on them. They look a little longer than Garrus' are, but again, hard to tell with armor fingers.

Nihlus and all other turians share a similar hand model.  Saren is the odd man out.
And Saren had the weird cheek plates as well as the TUBES coming out of the back of his head.
Saren was just messed.

On the subject of Nihlus, I thought it was interesting that BioWare totally faked us out by giving him a full character profile on the the website (like Tali or Ashley) before the game's release (and not giving Garrus one) which led me to believe he might end up being a Sagacious Zu / Jolee Bindo type character, dispensing occasional advice to the player while serving as a party member.

Then he died. Surprise.

Really??  You mean there are more Garrus fics than Tali fics?  I would think Tali had the most, followed by Garrus and maybe Liara.

I dunno, is your roommate prone to read over your shoulder?
I usually save my MK readings for when my hub is playing a game of his own, or just generally occupied. XD

It's fanfiction so you're not going to have a bunch of dongs and vagoos all over your screen if you click.  Your call.

And concerning Nihlus picture, his fingers have several joints in them too, so he didn't have the long nails coming out of the knuckle like Saren did, either.
