Oooh, an updated Masskink? Good times.
As for the Mass Effect codex, that'd be like, an RPG book, right? RIGHT?
/shifty eyes
Seriously... they just need to suck it up and WRITE THAT. Please? I'd pay for three of the damn books, just so I could get people to play it with me. I have friends who'd kill to play ME in a table top setting.
I wouldn't need them to make the cannon characters or anything... but the slew of OCs I have swimming around my brain pan would be happy.
And have female turians would make me ecstatic. As well as some other fun clues to their biology. Because speculating gets exhausting.
I was actually thinking more like a regular reference book (like some of the Star Wars Essential... books) but an RPG rulebook would be pretty kickass too.
In the meantime, these look like pretty good rules to use (it's a modification of the Star Wars Saga Edition rules). Haven't had a chance to try them yet though.
And I think we're all agreed female turians need to show up in ME3. Female krogan probably too, though I can understand leaving out female salarians.
Female turians ESPECIALLY need some air time. Why? Because we've been told now, in game context, that they are seen, combat wise, as equals with the males. So, where are all the turian fems? Unless that particular fem turian was some how unique? If so, weaksauce.
Salarians I can completely understand being back at the homeworld (though it calls into question why Anderson came across a salarian female informant in Revelation) because we're told, they are the minority, they run things back home.
Quarian males/females look to be on par with each other, like humans. As for the fem krogan, we're given the hint that hey, they have their own clans and structure...
Great, there's got to be some fem krogans out there who are past their breeding years? Right? Something? WHERE IS THE ESTROGEN BioWare?!
Or the alien equvilant?!
Oh and let's not forget the drell/hanar fems...
I should stop now before I totally derail myself...
Garrus... right.
