That was why they needed to activate the citadel in the first place, so they can get to the galaxy instantly. But, I think, they just wait in dark space just to sleep.

Nah, all they'd need was a Citadel-type back door  Mass Relay.  So, yeah, I'm beginning to wonder if the Milky Way is the only place they harvest.

I could buy into that idea.

Or at the very least they reap another galaxy, use a relay to go back to dark space for a century or three to refuel/hibernate and then go back to reaping.  Rather galaxy-centric of us to think it's only the Milky Way they reap.

Holy cow, I've been MIA because I've been housesitting all week. There's a home theater system with a projection TV...so I've been playing ME1 with LIFE SIZE GARRUS! NOM! NOM!

Also, earlier this week I ran a charity run with some military security guys. There were like 35 human Garrus-types. It was great.
