Those hat pics are absolutely awesome. But I can't decide who's more disturbing: GaGa!Thane or GaGa!Garrus.

As for random squadmates having a drunken romp in the bathroom, it should be obvious: Miranda and Jacob. Or Gabby and Ken, even though they're not exactly squadmates. I wouldn't want to inflict Kelly on poor Thane though.

And since random couples were brought up, was I the only one who thought that Tali and Kal'Reegar could make an interesting pair?

Oh man TONS of people ship Tali and Kal. I personally never even thought about it until I started seeing it pop up on the forums. I am just /derp when it comes to subtle romantic vibes. Needs to be in-your-face or it didn't happen I'm on the fence about the pairing.

Miranda and Jacob is an interesting pairing indeed. I know they have a history...Jacob likes to refer to women as priiizes, Miranda refers to herself as an object. Chemistry I says! And I would not want to inflict Kelly on ANYONE. Not even Urz.

I will be so disappoint if Ken doesn't propose to Gabby in ME3 (provided they survived). GAH THEY ARE ADORABLE!!! ALSKDLFJLSDA

I want moar Mass Effect: Kentucky Derby hats!!

EDIT: Also, has anyone noticed the Thane/Garrus fandom has started to increase? Is that just me? Am I lurking on the wrong part of the internets? Oh well...I'll just leave this here. >:3

As for Tali and Kal, yes, I always felt like there could be something more. But not everybody agrees, so no consensus reached on that matter XD

If I could play matchmaker, I would definitely hook Miranda and Jacob up again. Let them have eachother. There can never be enough love on the Normandy. I sound like a hippy.

Glad I'm not the only crazy one  It just seemed to me that he was being especially protective of her (well, maybe it helps that he was the only surviving member of the Haestrom team...). That, and the part after her trial where she asks him to call her by name, and he says "working on that, ma'am" made me think that there was potential there.

And lol @ the comment about not wanting to inflict Kelly on Urz...You gotta wonder how the scale itch got onto the Normandy...

Plus since I never play an MShep, it's kind of the default for me at this point. XD

If I were playing a MShep and had to pair Garrus off with someone, hrm...

I'll have to ponder this some more. Try to approach it from a stand point of "Where would I think his interests lie" and not from the standpoint of "OMFG STEP OFF HE'S MINE!"

I thought about that too and I don't have a problem with thinking about it from an objective point of view, but it's hard to find a woman on the Normandy or in the ME galaxy he would blow off steam with (except that female turian). But he's all about trust, respect and friendship with Shepard, so Miranda is not an option, because he doesn't trust her. Jack doesn't really let people close, except for Shepard.

Garrus: "Heeeey, I brought wine."
Jack: "**** OFF!"

Although he knows Tali and probably trusts her, I can't imagine them together. But that's maybe because I have this bro/sis-relation in my head for them.

I don't know... maybe Dr. Michel? She's nowhere as badass as Shepard, but at least she seems like a sweet girl. A sweet girl who secretly has the hots for Garrus . Yeah Dr. Michel, your e-mail was not that subtle...

Anyway, pairing Garrus with someone else is hard.

None of the humans would work, and I can't think of Tali with anybody other than MaleShep or Kal.

But yeah, I guess Grunt *could* be another valid possibility as the source of the scale itch.

I think the reason lots of people ship Tali and Kal is because he's the only other Quarian in the game with more than 3 lines who's not either a complete mess or one of her dad's friends.


Personally I never saw it, and even after it's been pointed out I still don't see it.




Then again, I have nearly three times as many platonic female friends as male ones, which my male friends are not hesitant to remind me is uncommon, so perhaps I'm just less likely to read into that sort of thing.

The great majority of my friends are male, and I have the opposite tendency to read into small details, so no, I don't think that's got anything to do with it.

But you're right: besides Kal, there aren't any other "eligible" male Quarians in the game. Makes it easier to imagine things, even if the game doesn't really give us much (if anything) to base these assumptions on.

I do too, because it makes sense to me. Trust, respect, friendship. ManShep is exactly the same as FemShep, except that he's a man (duh). Garrus never considered inter-species intercourse, so you might as well add gay intercourse to that. Bisexual Garrus is fine for me.

But it also has a downside. A lot of ME men consider Garrus as their bro, which is awesome. Now, I'm not a man, but I know what some men can be like, and I'm sure those men will freak out when Garrus starts hitting on their Shep. Because, EW MAN ON MAN EWWW, Garrus is flirting with MY SHEP! I'm afraid people won't see him as a badass vigilante anymore when Garrus turns out to be ******/bisexual.

So I'm not sure if I really want bi Garrus in ME3. But whatever happens, I just hope BW will write decent bromance conversations, because 3 conversations with Garrus as a manShep IS NOT NEARLY ENOUGH! >

Grr, I know this isn't Garrus-related, but I have to express my frustration with how easy it is to get hit on in ME1 when you don't want to be. I feel like I want to get the stick out of Garrus's butt prematurely to hit Kaidan with it and keep him away. I was just on the Citadel with Ash and Kaidan last night and I was trying to get that comment about the tinfoil miniskirt. The conversation started fine, "this emotion called love", bla bla, then I guess I must have picked the wrong thing, because not only did I not get the miniskirt remark from Ashley, I got awkwardly hit on by Kaidan...and I was so surprised I said the wrong thing in response and now he probably thinks I like him! Arrrggh!!

Gonna replay that section ASAP anyway, just to go through the Garrus recruitment scene again, because I love it so. "Sometimes you get lucky." Indeed, Garrus...indeed you do.
