I noticed.  I just stated playing DAO today.  I was surprised that my character doesn't have spoken lines everywhere like in ME; also, that the graphics aren't as good.  I guess I have been spoiled by ME's gorgeousness and, um...lini-ness(?). LOL
/disclaimer:  I don't judge a game solely on appearance and some of my favorite games are either 20 years old or even interactive fiction, so not trying to diss DAO especially since I just started playing it.  Just a first impression.

I woke up in the game and a girl ran up to me, saying something. I picked something as a reply, and instead of hearing my character talk, that girl immediately responded again. I thought it was a glitch at first, then I figured that the PC doesn't have a voice :(. I like it more that Shepard has her own voice. With the dialogue wheel, you're not really sure what she's going to say. Just imagine Garrus talking about sparring, you say you want to ease tension together, he says "owww I didn't know you wanted to spar" and instead of "that's not what I meant" you can already read the reply ("we could test your reach and my flexibility"). It's more fun with a dialogue wheel imo.

Yes it does. I was talking about DA:O and the voiceless PC (=player character). Sorry for the miscommunication ^_^

Guys.... I am doing my "do not recruit Garrus in ME1" run for science, and I failed almost at once! lol My keeness to get him made me go to him first, and then you HAVE to take him even if you tell him no (dammit, if the man doesn't know how to insist). Then I reloaded and shot him down, and I've gotta tell you: reject him before o-4, gutting. Lose him in SM, horrific. Tell him 'no' before he even has a chance to pop a heat sync? I'm not built for this, people! :(

Science. It's not always fun :(. Shirtless Garrus for science, THAT'S fun.

And when I think of Shirtless!Garrus, this pic needs to be reposted.

Nor I.  I played through that recruitment for him last night.  After he says "I'm coming with you." I saw the option for "Forget it."  After he just headshot that guy perfectly WITHOUT AIMING (I watched it twice, he doesn't even line the guy up or anything, he just basically raises his gun and shoots him more or less immediately)--I couldn't believe BW would even MAKE an option to refuse someone that skilled on your team. ;)
I admire you.  I work in a scientific field.  But I could never do what you're doing.  Even if my job depended on it.  Best of luck to you, you're taking one for the team! B)

Timerider42, nice job B)
Cerrydd, I do...that is DEFINITELY my favorite :wub:
My love for that picture can only be measured in Megagarruses (where 1 garrus = unit of pure awesome)

I like this picture so much, but I just can't get out of my head the image of moss and bonsai trees growing here and there.
I think those scales wouldn't make them as agile and flexible as turians are described.

Perhaps so, but it does look as though the artist at least attempted to put less plates say at the elbow joint, and along the sides--places where bending is required.  I don't know, I think part of what works so well for me about the picture is the fact that I feel it's feasible.  Just my opinion of course :)

So instead of hair, he has bonsai trees growing on his back? Hehe... your comment made me laugh, because I can't help imagining Shepard going "Garrus, it's time to 'wax' your back!".

But like kglaser said, in this picture it looks like the parts that are supposed to be able to bend are not covered in plating. Don't know about his back, though.

It's too much of a mystery.

Actually, if you do his mission, you HAVE to take him. (that is, if you get to see the headshot, even telling him no won't stand in his way!) You have to go see Wrex first, then he comes over to you when you are about to leave the Citadel, and tells you he has resigned C-Sec(!!) and wants in. When you tell him no, he says "I'll be here if you change your mind" then walks over to the wall (and I watched him walk) and just....waits. :crying: I had intended to do a full Garrus-less PT for research purposes (created an entirly new Shepard and everything) but now I think I may reload and just have Garrus again.

Another mystery:  why is his left arm just hanging at his side like that, when he has his right arm around Shepard?  Is it the whole "awkward" thing?  Because from his facial expression he looks really content.  That never made sense to me.
Yeah, I've looked at the picture way too many times. ;):P

That I can understand...they never let him take off the bloody thing except for that somewhat ugly green casual outfit he wore in the romance scene :P

I mean seriously...does he sleep in heavy armor? LOL
