Honestly the fanbase which I posess the most disdain for is Zaeed's. Then again, they're SUPER easy to troll, so that's always fun.

The fact it was my first time to bother discussing the character only to be met with that type of resistence lends itself to a lasting impression. First impressions, you know.
Suppose you can fall on the bad day of any fanbase, but I've espoused quite a few nontraditional viewpoints about other characters without such a reaction.

Besides Batman, who does Garrus remind you of? In some regards, he reminds me of the Punisher, but less ruthless.

This especially in ME2 where the romances all have like ten thousand variations.
Just look at Garrus.
Did you cheat on somebody with him? If so who? Kaidan, Liara?
Did you paragon in both games?
Did you renegade him in both games?
Did you paragon him in one and renegade him in the other?
Tali's the same way: Exiled or cleared? Cheater or not a cheater? So on and so on. There's tons of variations. I pretty much always romance Garrus in my playthroughs and I think I have yet to do it the exact same way twice.

He reminds me of the Protoss for some reason, in fact just seeing a Turian reminds me of them too. I don't know why, maybe it's just because their skin color is the same or because Garrus' theme has some parts that are similar to the Protoss' theme in Starcraft.
