I don't think Garrus really lets himself be molded. He acts like it, because he looks up to shepard, but as everyone saw he reverted to "renegade" after paragon sheps death. He is his own man in the end.

He reminds me of the Protoss for some reason, in fact just seeing a Turian reminds me of them too. I don't know why, maybe it's just because their skin color is the same or because Garrus' theme has some parts that are similar to the Protoss' theme in Starcraft.

But... can he survive a zergrush? :P

(of course he can, it's Garrus)

I always loved Protoss. So comparing him to that is good enough for me.

Eww Zerg. I hate them and yes Garrus can survive a zergrush, if he can survive days fighting three technoligically advanced merc groups then why wouldn't he be able to survive a bunch of organic horrors.

I like Terrans better than both Protoss and Zerg. Starcraft is the only game where I prefer humanity. I dislike humans in Mass Effect. With most of them it's all expansion, domination and power. Don't they ever think about their alien friends?

I wish Garrus could use the widow, it would solve many problems
But then Tali would feel left out without a power weapon

I agree, Garrus is not being molded. He is just taking Shepard's words into consideration. How much that will affect ME3 remains to be seen.

lol. Whenever I can choose between aliens and humans, I always go for the aliens. And I just couldn't play with terran.

I rather like the Zerg. Protoss are kind of boring to me. Like Terrans in multiplayer and scenarios, but campaign is a bit "meh"

That's his ME1 armor I think.  The C-Sec turians wear it.

On an unrelated note,

Has anybody else been paying attention to the Cerberus news the last few days? Yesterday, there was official confirmation that turians have gizzards...don't know if anyone cares about that and maybe you all already knew it. I had certainly heard it speculated about, but it does open some interesting questions about turian biology. Apparently they swallow food darn near whole. Cerberus news also referred to them having "carapaces." Again I have heard that term thrown around in the fandome but it was the first time I saw it used from a Bioware source. Sorry if this is old news.

Interesting, Ragabul...I have been playing ME1, not ME2, so haven't been seeing updates. That's actually really cool to have the gizzard thing confirmed. :D

One more random snippet and then I think I'll ran off for a while. I heard a song for the first time in a long time today and I thought the lyrics work pretty well for Garrus/femshep romance. I know somebody was fishing for such songs a while back so I thought I'd give my two cents. When Dolphins Cry by Live

The way you're bathed in light

Reminds me of that night

God layed me down into your rose

Garden of trust

And I was swept away

With nothing left to say

Some helpless fool yet I was lost

In a swoon of peace

You're all I need to find.

So when the time is right.

Come to me sweetly, come to me.

Come to me.

Love will lead us, alright

Love will lead us, she will lead us

Can you hear the dolphin's cry?

See the road rise up to meet us

It's in the air we breathe tonight

Love will lead us, she will lead us

Oh yeah we'll meet again,

It's like we never left

Time in between was just a dream

Did we leave this place?

This crazy fog surrounds me

You wrap your legs around me

All i can do to try and breathe

Let me breath

So that I

So we can go together

*Chorus*

Life is like a shooting star

It don't matter who you are

If you only run for cover, it's just a waste of time

We are lost 'till we are found

This phoenix rises up from the ground

And all these wars are over

There's more than that, but I didn't want to post too massive a load of text and that's the meat of it anyway. You kind of have to stretch some of the imagery but I really thought a lot of that stuff about seperation, rebirth, and so on summed up those two years after Shep died and Omega rather nicely.

I actually had to look up 'carapace' on wikipedia yesterday.  However, I was an agriculture major, and we talked a lot about gizzards.

Somehow I have the image of Garrus and Shep enjoying a nice dinner...except Garrus has a bowl of sand that he has to eat along with his rare steak.

I add my vote to our thread as "most laid back thread." We (generally....) don't troll other threads, bash other characters/fanbases (playfully tease? Perhaps. >:P ) and there's all kinds of love here. It's like being that drunk guy in the Afterlife- "I love everybody here! I love you...and you..."

Anyway....yeah, I will admit the Liara fans scare me a bit though. :( One once admitted they wanted to see the ME2 characters get cameo'd in ME3, just for the sake of vengeance. :/ Garrus would be disappoint.

Jackalope: I remember someone mentioning how turian tables probably have salt, pepper and sand shakers. :D I find it totally adorable. I wonder if humans and turians each think the way the other eats is completely gross.

"Is that....sand? Are you eating your food with sand?"

"Don't you start. At least my food is gone in a few seconds. You guys just keep chewing...and chewing...and I have to sit here and watch that."

Hi Garrus thread, I'm into the beer tonight!

Yes, I think Shepard and Garrus going out to dinner is going to be kind of awkward. I foresee a lot of takeout, dinners on board the Normandy, and occasionally those things where you each go to a different booth in the Citadel food court and then meet at the table.

"Shepard, is that ground up cow meat in between two buns?"

"Garrus, did you just swallow a ratlike creature whole?"

Don't they also mention Aria too.
