Well, their voice cast contains a lot of pretty prolific VAs, so it's hard to say. I imagine the likes of Jim Cummings, Phil LaMarr, etc, would be based in LA or NY, since this is where the bulk of the work is. Mark Meer is more local, I think... it's probably a mix (I have no clue. lol)



I guess Garrus' lack of death dialogue since it's hard for him to die is a good thing... but couldn't we have had some happy LI dialogue? I'm pretty sure Thane gets the odd Siha thrown in when he doesn't die. Garrus couldn't have had a 'I'm not ready to lose you again' or something? Ah well.



OK.... keeping up with this thread when each page takes about 5 minutes to load is making me sad. Doubtless the comment I have just responded to is now several pages back (quoting is making it worse!) I'm off to snipe some mercs while drinking wine. Garrus would approve.

Why have I got the sudden urge to never, ever return to the Citadel?  Council wants me to stay in the Terminus Systems?  No problem.

@ Nilfalasiel: I know he's complimenting her on her waist and hair, because that's apparently what the attractive turian bodyparts are, but I think he's also saying it because he didn't do his research. A human would pick other things to compliment on. That's why he's worrying the things he said might be offensive in human culture.

But hey, "your waist is supportive" is much more original than "you're beautiful"

I feel like I should qualify my comment about Garrus not finding Shepard attractive for her looks. I think that it is perfectly possible for sexual attraction to exist outwith what an individual finds objectively attractive. I know from my own experience that I’ve been crazy hot for people who my first reaction to meeting has been, well, not one where I would have ever considered bedding them to be quite honest (I have a type. I tend not to look outside this type deliberately. Shallow? Yes. But I‘m sure others can relate.). Then you learn things about a person: you see they have a talent, or a sense of humor, or something special about them which hooks you in, and all of a sudden bam! Suddenly you find you want them. I think this is the Garrus/FemShep relationship. I’m not saying there is no physical attraction there, but I think said attraction is bourn out of what Garrus knows about Shepard (and vice versa) outside that. I don’t think that on first meeting, Garrus fell head over heels. I think he fins her attractive because of everything else. And I’m not implying that it is a relationship equal to a friendship either: we all know not every friendship turns to sexual attraction. I’m just saying that when I say I don’t think he is physically attracted to her, I mean his sexual attraction is based on other factors and from that the physical attraction grows.

OK. Definetly going to go snipe and happy hour now. This took 6 minutes to type and load. :S


Edit: am I the only one who took 'supportive' to be his attempt at comlimenting what turians would otherwise consider 'fat'? lol. Think about this, ladies: if someone said you had supportive hips, would you swoon?

Also, Xsause. Slow load to be creeped out! My eyes! They burn!

But usually women want men complimenting them on the little things or notice them. Like cuting your hair even 1 mm. Just think about the girl who's boyfriend doesn't notice that small hair clip  and throws a tantrum.
Shepard's reaction should me something like: Wow Garrus, no one ever complimented me on my hair.

I've read a bunch of fic where Garrus just acted like he was retarded. In awe of everything humans did.
There was this fic where he found it weird that humans swim or seeing Shepard wear a short dress. Hell, even eating with a fork and Shepard had to teach him how to use one.
The funniest of them all, was when he was taking lessons in martial arts from Shepard.
But seriously, in many fic Garrus is portrayed as mentally challenged.
