I checked for the e-mail and, unless I'm missing something, I got it confused with another one. xD This e-mail just makes it sound like the whole galaxy knows Shepard got turned down by a krogan though. (It's the one titled "YOUR 2 SMALL!" and starts out with "I am sorry, my mate, I leave you for a krogan because you are not endowed as good for your species." But then it goes on to sound like an enhancement ad. I must have just remembered the first part, but it's pretty funny that Shepard got this e-mail right after the krogan made that offer.Kim Shepard wrote...
I'm pretty sure my female Shepard got an e-mail. xD I'll check on it tomorrow and post it here if no one else found it first. Too bad Shepard can't respond to those e-mails (although that female Shepard would have just put it in the "save to prove that it happened" pile).Gerse1 wrote...

Then there's Shepard #7, who has the most amusing track record. xD He's had a lot of one-night stands with females of different species (This guy actually knows what turian females look like!), but nothing serious because he doesn't want anyone to get involved in his dangerous life. When he got the offer from the krogan woman after Grunt's loyalty mission, and then the e-mail where she turns him down, he would have said, "Really? Huh. I've never had any complaints from krogan women before."
What does the email say? My femShep got an offer too (lol,...I wonder if krogan males also put in requests, or she was THAT good with the thresher maw). But she doesn't get an email /sadface
Now that I'm re-reading some of these, I start thinking about how awesome it would be if Shepard could reply. She could try to explain things to Toombs, say hi to Talitha, meet up with that murderer, and tell Garrus to check his e-mails because Dr. Michel probably sent him several. xD And Shepard #13 could jump up and down like a fangirl while shouting "I got an email from the Illusive Man!"
Well, now I'll just continue trying several different ways to complete Thane's loyalty mission, and trying to figure out how to make Miranda loyal again. >_>; (Shepard makes a comment about Miranda complaining to the Illusive Man if she doesn't like it. My Shepard would like to complain about her...)

Also I've had the game since before launch and have yet to finish my FemShep run with Garrus. Does this make me a bad person?
YES. THIS. PLEASE. Please, BioWare, add shameless, testosterone-fueled fanservice. Jack and Miranda got into it in ME2, give us ladies some equal opportunity! I'd hate it if it was just your ME1 LI complaining to you for betraying them or whatever. Blah, boring, done that on Horizon. I want manfighting!aynxalot wrote...
-Okay. I know everyone who was
'unfaithful' to their ME1 LI probably wants to see a little skirmish
between their two love interests. Not the polite confrontation between
Liara/ME1 LI, we want a -brawl-! As Joker says, "Take pictures!" I
would pay good money (in the form of video game purchases) to see
Kaidan and Garrus have at it. Doesn't have to be a long scene, and can
have a literal Paragon interrupt, to intervene (but who the heck's
gonna do that? >
Nissun, that fanart is AWESOME. And noooooooo, don't take out Garrus!
RE: Jack: I still haven't done her romance so I can't be sure, however I think someone mentioned it -can- kill her, but not necessarily -will-? I imagine she'd have to give up the biotics though. I'm not sure I can see her doing that, even if it means dying.

I like the flat color stuff. if it wasn't borderline on copyright infringement, I'd so use it for my color litho assignment in Printmaking class.

'Twas an old three color picture I did of Shepard mourning Garrus and holding his visor, done in a similar style to this.
The copyright infringement is in regards to my Printmaking class. Mostly that I would be using the designs from ME2, even if my teacher and most classmates probably wouldn't recognize it right away. (I know of at least one guy in said class that is aware of ME2) Because I hold to artistic integrity, I'm not going to try and sneak it under the radar.
But boy, I'd LOVE to make a litho print of this. Wah!

The only time to get 'last words' is as second team leader (meaning for Garrus, he'd have to be unloyal and thus unromanced, since he's just too good at leading otherwise, aynxalot wrote...
Aww. That pic makes me have a sad. It's strange and morbid, but while I did everything to keep Garrus alive, part of me wants to go through and see his "last words" scene (obviously in 2 of his potential deaths, he gets a rocket to the face or screams as the swarm carries him off). Unless it's on YoutTube. Hmmm.

Annnd I agree with you guys about Garrus' dad. Male Shepards have just as good of a reason to meet him. I think there is a lot of potential there even without taking romance into account.
Also, WTF I had no idea that Jack was (possibly) dying! She and Thane certainly have dramatic romances.
@Ragabul: I thought he was shot too, even if it was just a graze. Wouldn't make sense for him to stagger and slump against the wall otherwise.

In a normal relationship, you meet a person and you become attracted to them. You then find out if the attraction is reciprocated, and if it is, you propose going out to eat or to the movies or whatever. The whole point of that exercise is to get to know the other person better, to see if there is a valid base of chemistry and similarity beyond the initial attraction on which to form a viable relationship.
Yet, we already know all that that about Garrus. We don't have to get to know him. What would be the point of an awkward "testing the waters" stage? Shep and Garrus already know each other arguably better than anyone else on the team. The question is not "should we get to know each other better to see if we would work out together?" but "we know each other through and through; we know we're compatible; now, do you want to pursue that or not?" I think Shepard asking Garrus out to dinner would be way more awkward than that bold come-on. It would retard their relationship rather than progress it. It would be a step backwards.

Well said Ragabul. Shepard and Garrus have already been through hell and back together countless times, and know and trust one another explicitly. The only way I could imagine the relationship coming off as being only about sex is if you happened to import a playthrough in which you refused to take Garrus along with you during the first game - as then you're essentially starting from square one.
I know it's possible, since my VERY first run though ME1, I missed the Doctor Michel thing entirely and he tracked me down in C-Sec before I left the Citadel and asked to come with me. I just didn't think anyone would be dumb enough to say no.

Me either - especially since Garrus is a lot more interesting than the other characters you had garnered up until that point in time. (Tali and Wrex aside) Still I wouldn't be surprised if there was someone out there who decided to be a jerk and tell him to get lost. xDSialater wrote...

It does seem like the relationship would be strange if you didn't pick him up in the first, but hardly anyone does that. Plus, the relationship was geared towards the Garrus fans that wanted to romance him, and they all obviously took him with.

I just thought of something (or maybe I didn't...it's hard to know if you are being original given the hundreds of pages of Garrus discussion at this point...) A lot of people have expressed concern over the Garrus romance just being a "friends with benefits" thing or a fling. Lots of people also seemed distraught at the extremely forward way that Shepard comes onto him and that seems to imply that it all could just be about sex. But there's a really simple explanation for why it went straight to sex.

And yet, you're forgetting something important: Most relationships don't last long if the couple doesn't continue to do things to keep the romance alive. Yes, that includes dating and talking to one another even if you are already great friends. The whole propositioning thing still doesn't sit quite right with me, friends or not. It's just not very romantic to up and decide one day that you want to have sex with someone unless there's been some obvious romantic interest previously. I do not think that existed for Garrus. Others read into his comments to FemShep prior to the actual romance initiation as flirting, but I can't see that as being entirely true. He does, after all, explain that he hasn't considered interspecies intercourse--that includes Shepard. That means that while he may recognize that she's female, he'd mostly be regarding her with a more neutral, friends-only perspective (almost as if she were not female, because after all she'd be off-limits to him).
Granted, Garrus starts to make it clear that he wants more than that, but it's never officially confirmed that it's more than a one-night fling. Yeah, I think it would be more, if only because of how tender that final moment is before the fade to black. I suspect that he wants to make more of it for the primary reason that he does respect Shepard so much. And maybe that's also the reason that the only way she could have broached the topic is by directly offering to sex him up. If they'd dated, he probably would have backed out pretty quickly--the interspecies thing is weird to him, and with his respect for Shepard, he might have become quickly too uncomfortable to go further.
Anyway, after all that digression: My point stands. Even if you're best friends with someone you want to be your lover, dating is not a bad idea. Keeps the romance alive, or creates it--whichever you want to believe. Then again, it sounds like for Garrus, every time he and FemShep go out on a mission, it's a date.

That is sooooo true. You know if you turn him down the first time he says, "if we ever want to share an intimate moment we can blow something up, again." hahahah. I agree that in the beginning its a "friends with benefits" kind of thing and they both think so. However by the end at the Relay its something more. Mostly because if you compare what happens at each oppurtunity that you can turn Garrus down he becomes more and more hurt by it. The first time he's actually relieved.
I love it when you take him to Haestrom and the derelict reaper. "Just like old times." You know Garrus got alot of extra dialouge during missions. I think he's the only one who talks about the dragon's teeth in the derelict reaper. I love it.
