That pic makes me hungry like hell. I'm going to make some instant noodles. Chicken flavour. Heh heh.
So, Garrus. What will we talk about tonight? Got any new questions/topics, Collider? :D

I'm catching up, I swear.  My friend and I were talking about ostriches at work today (related to Jake Gyllenhaal's reported terror of them...don't ask), and I came across this picture of an ostrich foot:

Now.  Suppose both toes looked like the one with the nail.  Is that a feasible Garrus foot?  Look at the reptilian scales on the legs there.
Discuss.

Okay so I spent most of today getting stuff ready for my trip and channeling what little drawing ability I have into my latest escapade of ridiculousness, so I appear to have missed over a dozen pages.

Anything relevant I should go back for?

That Jacob poster always makes me angry. Because the person who made it doesn't know the difference between 'your' and "you're"... and that just... hurts. It hurts so bad. /reaches for the wine

Rounded up actually.  Liberally.

(I know I said I was done.  So I lied.  Get over it.)

@kraidy

Well, okay, Garrus loves Apon too.  At least a little.^_^

I haven't read it. I skimmed the last few pages. Let me finish washing and cutting these fresh strawberries and I'll go back.

....or should I wait until the knives are put away? I'm never sure when people tell me to go back and read things these days.

Ooh, goody this from Cerberus News Today:

The reorganizing of Taetrus’ governmental infrastructure following the Vallum Blast reached an important milestone tonight, as the colony’s Laudatix — the ministry of citizenship rankings — held its first oserun since its office was destroyed in the blast. The oserun, a ceremony that recognizes the promotion of turians to a new citizenship tier, was initially overseen by local general Timus Aurelos, who swore in the new minister, Anela Saneraxis. Aurelos then turned the ceremony over to her, and Saneraxis formally promoted 1,238 turians, ranging from young adults entering 2nd-tier boot camp to Radiatum lawgivers in the 23rd tier. Saneraxis called on the latter in her closing remarks, saying “We know the task before us is mighty, and we look to our leaders to help us serve with dignity and strength. Together, we will prevail.”

I always miss Collider's lists of questions. xD But this time I'll answer them anyway.
Collider wrote...

1. Which would you prefer?
a) If you romance Garrus in ME2, you have an entirely different conversation set that has to do with the romance.
B) If you romance Garrus in ME2, you have the same conversation set as everyone else (including Male Shepards), but interspersed within the conversations is some romance dialog.
c) Don't want either? If so, what do you think would be optimal?
I've seen this question before and haven't been able to figure out what would be best, bt after reading option b, I think that would be perfect. Most people wouldn't want to actually miss out on conversations with the character they're romancing.
2. Preferred ending for the Garrus romance? Conclusive? Ambiguous? Marriage or no marriage? Living together somewhere quietly? Fighting criminals as vigilantes (Batman and Batwoman?) or officers? Etc.
From what I've read here, it seems like everyone's opinions about this are really different. Something that just lets everyone know that Shepard and Garrus will stay together would probably be best. That way, everyone will be happy that Garrus stays with their Shepard and they can fill in the blanks with whatever ending they want.
3. If there is banter ala Dragon Age or KOTOR in ME3, which squad mates would you most like to see Garrus bantering with?
All of them, just like Dragon Age. I would most like to see more Garrus and Tali banter, and I think he could have some interesting conversations with Thane and Samara too. If Wrex comes back as a squadmate, I'd like to see some more banter with Garrus like their ME1 elevator conversations, and it would have been great to see Wrex's response to Garrus' "fun places to fight" comment.
4. What do you think some of the squad mates would think of FemSheps' relationship with Garrus? Congratulate him/her? Tease him/her?
I would like to see Ashley's shocked reaction to FemShep dating Garrus. I think Tali would probably be happy for both of them. For Kaidan and Liara, it would depend on if they got dumped for Garrus, but if Shepard didn't romance either of them, I'd like to think they would be happy for them too. For some reason, I can imagine Wrex joking around with Garrus and Shepard and giving them a pat on the back. xD Thane would probably act happy for them, but secretly be a little jealous. I'm not too sure about the others.
5. Best weapon for Garrus? Assault rifle or sniper rifle?
Sniper rifle. I'm replaying ME1, and I gave him the best one I have - Shepard's special Spectre gear sniper rifle.
6. Would you rather want fixed armor in blue or loyalty color?
Loyalty colors. I like his blue armor too, but I think it makes more sense that he would buy new armor instead of repairing his old one (or just painting it).
7. What was the best armor for Garrus in ME1 aside from the default or Collossus (appearance wise)?
I don't remember all of the armors, except that I think Phoenix is the one with pink... I just wouldn't make Wrex and Kaidan wear it, even if it had better stats than the armor they had on.
8. Is femShep's power level over 9000?
Of course it is! It's over ten thousand. She broke the charts. Only Garrus' scanner can comprehend that level of awesome.
8. What kind of dialog would you like to see in Garrus' romance in ME3? Would "I love you" or some variant thereof be too cheesy? Is it better that it would be implied, but not really said?
I would be fine with either one. :)
9. How long after ME2 do you think ME3 will start?
I think it will start pretty soon after ME2's ending, with just enough time passing by to repair the damage to the Normandy.
10. What do you think the conversation between Garrus and Kaidan/Liara would be like if you cheated on your ME1 love interest?
I'm not sure about this one, and I'll only see it on youtube... but I think it'll probably be similar (a little more dramatic) than trying to romance two characters at the same time and having to choose between them. It would be nice if they were at least slightly personalized, like Kaidan talking about Horizon and Liara giving Shepard to Cerberus for resurrection - those are issues that would need to be discussed. Then it would probably have the same "pick one" option as ME1 and ME2.
11. How much do you want romances to affect the ME3 storyline? A lot? A little? The same as ME2 and/or ME1?
A little would be good. I wouldn't want a situation where whichever character Shepard romances is either killed/in a life or death situation that requires the ultimate sacrifice to save. If my Shepards were given the choice between saving their romance interests or saving themselves, they would always choose themselves - Shepard is most likely the only one who can save the galaxy, after all. But I would still get a lot of sad shepards out of that.
12. How many days will the Bioware staff survive while under siege by angry fans if Garrus is not is given a small cameo in ME3?
Well, I don't know about other Garrus fans... but I would just be disappointed, think "it should have happened this way", and continue playing the game. o_o; Whatever hapens in ME3, the first two ME games are still my favorite games ever.

And soon I'll continue playing ME1. My Vanguard has a few side missions to do before he goes to Therum. Good news, Garrus will be in his squad for that one! (He went through Feros with Tali and Kaidan, and now it'll be Tali and Garrus.)

Seriously, I am lapping up this type of stuff.  So much info about turian life and culture in just a few days!  Truly, we are lucky fans.  Thanks for posting as well.

Oooh, that poem WAS nice. It reminded me of something else I had read years ago... Hm. Now I'm going to sit and wonder what. XD It also reminds me of the Darkness Rising for some weird reason. Huh.

I think that's the fault of my old GURPS GM.... she drew heavily from the books and the poems it used for her world setting. Ah well. /goes to finish strawberries and get another glass of wine

Question for you Turian experts?, would a turian marriage/courting/whatever have the female (if member of different species) Take the males last name?

So far as I know, we have no real idea on turian courtship rituals.  We speculate they are fairly similar to humans, but that's really all we've got.

I really wish BW would go hardcore with the codex and do literally everything.

Tell me about it.  And Garrus doesn't even pull a "turian encyclopedia" like most other alien squaddies do so we are quite strapped for information in many areas.  There's a kind of assumption that so little is said of turians because they are similar to humans in most capacity (about the same lifespan, about the same mating rituals and so on.)  The codex only seems to point out stuff about aliens that is quite different from humans.
