But, yeah, that's like, my opinion, man.

Are you referencing The Big Lebowski?

Cerrydd, how about waking up to see 60-120 pages, like we do in the Tali thread? :P This place is comfortably slow! :)

I agree with that Pacifien, Garrus did alright in those 2 years Shepard was gone. He might have bittin off more then he could chew however.

Oh, I know, the Talithread is extremely fast. You can't take a ****** without returning to 6 new pages :P. I'm very happy with the pace of Garrusthread, I've read every page until now, because it's easy to catch up. But 15 pages is a lot when there are some days I wake up to only 3 new pages. Hence my 'holy crap' exclamation.

(that, and I woke up at 5 PM today. This thread messed up my sleep cycle, because this thread starts moving fast when I'm supposed to be asleep. Damn you Americans :P)

I've seen the Tali thread move 500 pages in a day pre Woo proclamation. Months ago it was scary. you could finish a post with out 8-12 more popping up in the mean time.

anyway Whats the discussion in here now?

I've been trying to figure out the Mass Effect equivalent of the Dude for the past ten minutes now.

This is not Garrus related.

He basically cut out all the Spammers and Spam related postings in the thread. So now only the core group is left.

I wasn’t trying to imply that marriage = white picket fence by necessity. I simply find that it is perceived as such, which may be why so many people resist the idea of Shepard doing this (because some people get REALLY annoyed at the thought. Myself, as long as mutant babies stay out of the picture, I'm coo' Posted Image).
Come to think of it, what do we know about joining ceremony customs for humans in the ME universe? Could be that there are a myriad of different ways people declare their commitment to one another, without necessarily ‘getting married’ in the traditional sense of the word. But I agree: it is up to the individual Shepards.

As to Garrus feeling like Omega was the part of his life he failed on his own, and maybe wanting to step away from Shepard to try and succeed, I can’t see that happening. I think that he and Shepard anchor one another in a really good way, and he makes such a big deal about Shepard being just about the one good thing in his life, I don’t think he’d walk away from that to try to prove something. ME1 Garrus struck me as someone who was trying to work out where he fitted in in the galaxy, and I think he thinks he’s found it on Omega, but that comes crashing down. After that, he makes a comment about not being ‘a very good turian’, so he’s back in that limbo (can’t fit in even with his own people). I don’t think he needs to ‘make it on his own’. I think his place in the galaxy is actually at Shepard’s side, watching his/her back. I don’t think that this detracts from his own ‘destiny’ or whatever you’d call it either. Garrus as leader of military forces to assist Shepard? He’s still got her/his back then. My point is, the ties are never servered. As an LI: She completes him, he completes her (hell, even maleshep in his epic bromance would be a bit hollow if he was Garrusless). I think this is a good thing. Posted Image

I have the impression that turian females are on a pretty even keel with the males in their culture. The way Garrus responds to Shepard’s ‘I trust you took her down gently’ makes me think that it amuses him that Shepard would assume she was the weaker party. 9 rounds close combat with Garrus, no winner? Clearly, one BAMF turian. Posted Image  It’s frustrating that they have yet to show us any female turians, though, because now it seems like design issues are impacting perception of turian culture. Sigh. Posted Image

EDIT: This was relevent when I started typing it on my lunchbreak... 3 hours ago. Sorry. lol

The mutant baby subject was mentioned in the Tali thread some months back ... there was a discussion about it. I don't remember much but I think I passed out reading parts of the discussion.

Way too far behind, so I'll just leave this here:

Been watching the Last Airbender these past few days...

And I think Garrus's scar is calling to me.

Cause Zuko is hot for a 16 yr old.

...

(OMG NOW I FEEL WRONG /runs and hides in Garrus's armor)

The movie they are doing makes the kid (Aang?) look way too young.

Yea I never really liked the "I trust you took her down gently," line. I'd rather it just be "So how did it turn out?"

I think I've pretty much failed in my attempt to describe why or how Garrus could live a life beyond Shepard. But I am in the Garrus thread. Next, I'll go to the Tali thread and describe her life beyond Shepard.

Yeah. That female turian was in the military, damnit. Would be even more hypocrite to say if your Shep punched that reporter.

At least it isn't as bad as the conversation you had with Wrex about the genophage back in ME1. I replayed it yesterday, and DAMN does Shepard sound like an idiot.

Well I kinda think, the physical differences between them aren't as pronounced as humans. most Reptiles are virtually Identical in proportions IIRC only coloration to show male/female for the majority of them. Thats if i'm not totally off my biology.
