Therum really kicked my behind before I realized, "Oh, this crate is probably cover...oh, right!" LOL

...I actually forgot how to use cover behind stuff like crates. I found out how to take cover behind a wall accidentally, by running into it.

@Pacifien: Well, at least my posts are always Mass Effect related... or at least BioWare game-related. More often than not, Saren's name seems to come up too (like it did just now). And I just realized before I submit this post that it didn't mention Garrus, but now it does. xD

Mentioning Saren should count for something...a lot of the discussions on this thread center around turians and their culture. (And IMHO, those are some of the most absorbing discussions, even better when they frame them with Garrus's viewpoint.)

Yea, I never thought of this as just "Garrus LI" thread. You start with Garrus and by extension get turians in general (culture, biology, history), sniping and tactics, vigilantism, discussions on nature of renegade vs. paragon, squaddie dynamics, and five hundred other awesome things.

Speaking of Saren and turians in general... the last time I played through the part where Shepard becomes a Spectre, I noticed there was a turian and salarian (ambassadors, I think) at the Citadel Tower talking about the "rumors" about Saren. The salarian said something like "If the rumors are true, shouldn't we do something about this?" and then the turian said "No, and I'll thank you to leave me out of it if you do." It was amusing. xD

For some reason those remind me of some kind of promotional recruitment poster. Now I can just see a poster of Papa Vakarian pointing toward you Uncle Sam style with a banner saying "C-Sec want you!"

I thought of that Salarian/Turian conversation when Garrus then brought up his idea that the Council was purposely dragging their feet in bringing Saren in. Saren was their top Spectre, and I imagine he had quite a few connections in the Council looking out for him. Considering I view Garrus to be somewhat young, I found it odd that he of all C-Sec officers was assigned such a high profile case as investigating Saren. Sure, with a little extra time, Garrus proved he could get the investigation done, but I bet there were some people in C-Sec hoping he'd fail.

I thought that, too. I had just assumed Garrus was a high ranking C-Sec officer, considering he was even in the Citadel Tower. He certainly established himself enough to even be considered as a candidate for a Spectre, I would not doubt his prestige as an officer.

I never thought about that before, that some people might have wanted Garrus to fail. It works well with the salarian's theory.

...After searching everywhere for that controller, I found it. It was with the Xbox the whole time. xD

Wireless controllers are simultaneously one of the greatest advances in gaming one of gaming's greatest banes.  I have lost mine in couch cushions, taken it outside with me to my truck, and once very nearly put it in the refrigerator, but then I am the world's biggest scatterbrain.

I spent hours looking for it too. xD Glad to know I'm not the only one who loses them.

Hey, it's Garrus! I never noticed there's a trailer or something like that if you leave the "press start" screen waiting too long.

I was disappointed that the trailer dilemma at the start screen about saving or leaving Noveria never materialized in the game.

I'm not trying to diss anyone else here, but I have to say, I particularly appreciate your posts, Ragabul.  You're "erudite, articulate, and profound", as my favorite high school English teacher Mr. Walker would daily tell us to be in our compositions.  Seriously, your posts are some of my favorites on this thread.

Also, Garrus.  (although technically by quoting, the word "Garrus" is already in this post.  durr durr =]   )

LOL!

But what is up with his (err... her?) voice? Is it different because you're playing with a turian?

Awesome, but this makes me think of something else.  I used to think that one of the reasons the Garrus romance scene is so skimpy is because Bioware might have been concerned about turian model issues.  Haven't they used that excuse for things in the past?  Stuff about lack of model compatibility?  This (and other similar videos) seems to suggest you can get a turian model to do pretty much whatever.  Heck you can even do it with a krogan and they are way more exotic in build I think.

It's because Shepard is essentially wearing a helmet.  A Garrus helmet.  And I used the female Shepard because for some reason, Garrus's face is animated better with her than with male Shepard.  With male Shepard, he doesn't open his mouth all the way.
