Well, I guess only the Sailor Scouts of Normandy can save the Galaxy from the Dark Forces of Evil and Negative Energy with the power of Love and Friendship.

I kinda like that pic but they're all wearing high heeled boots. Seriosly, how can woman walk and fight in those???

Sailor Moon always fights in high heels! :P If she can do it, Shepard can freaking do it.

*Crosses fingers, hoping none of her fics are poor enough to get sporked* I really tried, I did! I despise Mary Sue-age and tried to stay as IC as possible.....I don't know any bad ones, but here's a really good one:

Here is a madlib with Garrus.

Once upon a time, there was a badass knight named Garrus, who, by his valiant impressiveness, saved the kingdom from the anorexic dragon and headshot the princess in the nick of time. He rode his kickass log from the lousy dirt upon which the kingdom was built, journeying into the unknown. He was ecstatic and did not stop for fear the dragon would toss them all.

By and by, he came to a giant spoon which blocked his path. He stopped and fell nastily to himself. Then, summoning his astonishing vitality, he shot the spoon out of his way and continued onward.

At last, he reached the conniving bridge of the neat dragon. The dragon exploded at his approach. They fought whimsically. The battle was flexible and dirty, raging a whole second, until at last, the knight seized the dragon by the head and stabbed him in the eye. The princess was grateful, and the knight fired her over his shoulder and returned to the king. The two promptly overloaded, and they lived sarcastically ever after.

Garrus is everyone's knight in shining armor.

Can anyone point me to some good screenshots of him?

I have this with him wearing his helmet and looking in the same direction as Ashe and Shepard.

Damn, would have been great, but its not quite big enough.

According to TVTropes:

"Spork" is used as a term to mock and criticize
So Bad Its Good and So Bad Its Horrible works, since sporks have the right size and shape to dig out an eye. A bad fanfic, for example, can be described as "It sporked me.", i.e: so bad it made me want to take my eyes out so I wouldn't have to view it any more.

Basically, when you "spork" a fanfic, you mock it and criticize it for its inconsistencies with the source material (ME in this particular example), bad plot twists, Mary Sues, OOC-ness, predictability of later plot events, bad grammar, etc.

Sailor Jack is the second best thing in ever.

The first best thing in ever is Garrus.

My favourite ME Fanfic is "Memento Mori" by Yseult Blanco.

http://www.fanfictio.../1/Memento_Mori

Warning, M rated for some sexy stuff in later chapters. (as if anyone here doesn't like sexy garrus....)

There's also a story by this title about Thane that I admit I haven't read.

Fanfic varies in quality from jawdroppingly good (like this one) to entertaining to average to abysmal, but as long as the writer's having fun, even bad fanfic has a purpose. And sometimes bad fanfic can be awfully funny to read, especially after a beer or six.

*snip*
I’ve wondered this loads. Then I had to wonder why Pallin chose to put Garrus, the officer least likely to let it go, on the case when it’s obvious from the get-go that Saren won’t be convicted (everything he touches is classified anyway – the Tali evidence was a one in a million fluke. He must have known Garrus wouldn’t find anything in time). I like to think he wanted Garrus to leave and take it further, in a bid to take Saren down. However, the cynic in me thnks he may just have wanted to give Garrus something to keep him busy. I don’t think Pallin would have wanted him to fail (because in turian hierarchy, the failure would have been in part Pallin’s as well), but I think a good few C-Secers may have liked the idea of Garrus failing: he seems like he rubbed people the wrong way.
Garrus is young, yes, but he has clearly been with C-Sec for a while (Shepard says as much. Also, they don’t put rookies in the wards). And I think you can move up in rank quickly if you are good at your job, but yes., he seems a tad low level to be first port of call for investigating Spectres. Makes me think maybe C-Sec cases are assigned by rota: Garrus just happened to be the officer whose desk Saren’s file crossed. But then, he does take it quite personally… so I don’t know. I think I may be over thinking this. Posted Image

I did think about the possibility of Garrus getting the Saren investigation at random. I wonder if he had a strong opinion about Saren before his investigation or if the bad feelings only started the further he investigated the details of Saren's dealings.

If Garrus was special picked for the investigation, I'm sure Executor Pallin didn't give him the assignment just so he could fail. Not only does Pallin seem to take his role seriously, he doesn't have much love for Spectres either. However, being a liason to the Council, I can see someone on the Council applying a little pressure on Pallin to make sure the investigation didn't unduly draw attention to the Council's top Spectre. Perhaps telling Pallin about how the investigation was all for show to keep the humans satisfied, but that they didn't really expect Saren of all people to be doing anything directly against Council interest. I can see Pallin then turning their attempt at political machination against them by assigning a young detective to the case, but one he knew would have the fire to work the case hard.

Yeah. I have my suspicions that Pallin gave it to Garrus because he knew Garrus wouldn't let go...

Aww... I caved an went back and took Garrus with me in ME1. Noticing the uptightedness a lot more. Bless. He was soooo excited when I took him to the council chambers. Then we went to Chora's Den, and he was all 'Hmmm...'.

Ray: those videos have given me a happy day. Thankee. :D

Lemme ressurrect my Sailor Moon knowledge...surprisingly, it's difficult to parallel ME characters with Japanese schoolgirls. I think Tali would be Mercury (shy techie), Miranda strikes me as Mars (abrasive, considers self leader), Garrus as...Venus (Hear me out! He's a bit naive, prone to putting his foot in his mouth, and yet manages to pull off a solo crime-fighting campaign). Otherwise, he would be Uranus for the sheer amount of people who swoon over him.

All this mention of fanfics that have everyone fall in love with Shepard, even Saren and the turian councillor, reminded be of a conversation here quite some time ago about Kelly writing Mass Effect fanfiction, and everyone found it. xD

Shepard: Kelly, you've been writing fanfiction about us? This needs to stop! This-- what is this? ...Shepard x Saren? ...I think I'll hold on to this one. >///>;
Saren: What are you reading, Shepard? *looks over her shoulder* I did what?!
Nihlus: *steals the fanfic from them* Wow, Saren. You and Shepard? I'm so jealous.
Shepard: Yeah, I wish-- wait, what, jealous? :D
Saren: *roars* It never happened!

Captain Planet. He's a hero. (The episode entitled 'If it's doomsday, this must be Belfast' is simultaniously one of the best and worst episodes of children's TV ever created. Oh, the mild racism! Check it out.)

I have nothing Garrus related to add. I've read too much bad fic today.

The problem with CP, was that his weakness was 'litter and pollution'. Now, this always made me wonder: if I'm drinking a can of juice (Mountain Dew!) it's not litter, but if he comes over to me and I drop it on the ground, would it then become litter and cause him pain?

Anyone up for happy hour? I've brought wine (yes, I know I do this a lot. It's been a rough week. lol) :wizard:

I've never heard of Captain Planet. But I was very picky when I was young. If the cartoon didn't have a drawing style I liked, I skipped it.

Me neither. Happy hour? :D

I see, it's one of those superhero cartoons. I've never watched any of them, not even Batman, so that's why it doesn't sound familiar to me. xD I have hard of Sailor Moon and its theme song though. That part about litter and pollution sounds familiar though... maybe I've seen it on an anti-litter commercial.

@Xsauce: Seriously? o_o; Did they give him superpowers in the show too?

I have something Garrus-related to add! ...Im going to play ME1 again soon, and it has Garrus in it.

This is Captain Anderson!Planet's theme song.

GRUNT: EARTH!

GARRUS: FIRE!

TALI: WIND!

SAMARA: WATER!

SHEPARD: HEART!

ALL: GO, ANDERSON!

"By your powers combined, I AM CAPTAIN ANDERSON!"

Captain Anderson
He's our hero
Going to take the Reapers down to zero

He's the galaxy's powers magnified
And he's fighting on the Council's side

Captain Anderson
He's our hero
Going to take the Reapers down to zero

Gonna help him put asunder
Reapers who like to loot, kill, maim and plunder!

We're the Spectres
And you can be one too
'Cause saving the galaxy's the right thing to do!

Mass-murdering and punching reporters is not the way
Listen to what Captain Anderson has to say!

"THE POWER IS YOURS NOW, SHEPARD! GOOD LUCK!"

Oh, and Garrus.
