There's someone on these forums that was transcribing some dialogue that they datamined. Didn't see any post-suicide-mission dialogue posted though. We could probably request it.shnellegaming wrote...
How do you guys think the post-mission dialogue went? I mean they had to have recorded it. I bet its in the game somewhere just never got hooked up. I wish there was a way to data-mine it.

Yeah, his obedient attitude with Shepard was noted by many as "attractive". When I started writing the only fanfic I've tried to write, I noticed it was hard for me to make Shepard the "authoritarian" one*. I actually saw Garrus as the one that would be more open... and confident. So NOW i realise that ME2 Garrus has given me exactly what I wanted to see from him, in a way I totally didn't expect.
*(it's actually a mShep/Garrus fic. I just can't see Garrus as the "bottom" in that relationship. Ahem...

Oh, I definitely see him "wearing the pants" in the relationship. I just meant that he trusts your judgement as a leader. He doesn't complain about the decisions you make. I...almost compared him to Dragon Age's Alistair, but then I remembered a few things.
<_<
Anyway...still looking for that thread where that person had datamined some dialogue...
EDIT: Found it.

One thing that I think that was very integrated were his scars and all his "new" facial features. I wouldn't like to have them removed and if there it does happen I'd prefer if it was optional. The scars just seem to be part of him now, they seem to be something like his visor. I would like to remove that patch thing though and it doesn't seem permanent so maybe it will be removed.

Garrus did change a lot. In ME2 I think Garrus is more lost than ever. Well I can't blame him, he had to go through a lot with Shepard dying and then the Council and they Alliance destroying everything Shepard did. I doubt anyone would have taken that lightly. I guess maybe it has something to do with the fact that ME2 is more about the characters and way darker than ME1. At least the romance is one of the things that does go right for him. However I would like him to talk more whether you pursue his romance or not. He only talks 3 times to Shepard if you choose to be a male. That is another reason why I want Palaven DLC so I can talk more to Garrus.

Seconded. Also, not to get all pseudo-psychoanalyst, but Garrus in ME1 comes across (IMO) as having a little cloud of self-doubt that follows him around. Maybe from his father always letting him know when he did somethring wrong, or maybe it just came just naturally. Either way, his compliance seems more like a willingness to let Shepard be the one to make the hard decisions, because he's not 100% certain that he's doing the right thing and needs some guidance. Also, by the nature of the game, Shep tends to seem to "do no wrong." When Shep dies, he loses the beacon that Shep was for him, and he's left to try to rise to the reputation. /end pseudo-psychology
Also, agreed on the scars. The scars stay!

And thanks for the visual of Grunt playing with the ship models and going "FFFFROOOOOOSH!" as he crashes them into one another. You know...acting like the toddler he is.
(EDIT: Forgot to mention that I think that doodle is insanely cute)
Made 2 more (surprisingly, neither saying "Do Not Ingest" nor "Liquid Sugar"):

Most of the other AdviceGarrus phrases are a little too long to make into these tiny signatures...

I figured that they just got some new fish! No way to eating them! Poor fish :'( And actually I started a picture of Grunt playing with the model ships, but have to finish a few other projects first.

While I admit the initial "Garrus getting some" happiness has worn off for me, I think the whole ordeal has just revitalized my overall appreciation of Garrus. Thus, why I played an entire game of the original Mass Effect with him taking the place of my Shepard
Oh yes. I'm still here, aren't I?(Mostly for reasons like the above: Garrus Effect.)
And this thread has taken my GarrusLove to new (slightly frightening) heights; I've gone from nursing my addiction in quiet shame to full-blown fangirlism.
Oh yeah, me too. I wasn't saying I was shunning the thread now or something, more just retreating to lurk unless something grabs my eye. LIke this post I guess, lol. But the bolded quote pretty much decribes my Garrus journey too. It's the only thing that will probably make replaying ME1 for some alternate save bearable. (curses why didn't I start this game on PC...then I could just use that masseffectsaves.com site). I am not at all disparaging the MUCH appreciated efforts of SavageLycan to bring us Garrus Effect, among other things. =D
EDIT: I am physically unable to resist these new signatures. weeeeeeeeeee!

The fact that I thought "eating the fish" before I thought of "bought new fish" is...disturbing.koucha wrote...

I can't wait to see this picture of Grunt!
Also...Has anyone had the final romance scene with Garrus while their fish are dead? My fish died before one of my suicide mission just-for-fun runs so I cleaned out the tank...but then I thought about that. I think that if that had happened on my first playthrough, I would be mortified and possibly forever disenchanted with any ME2 romance scene.
...I'm too scared to try this out just for the sake of a potentially lulzy screen shot.

As for the fish, I had no idea that Shepard had to feed them. xD I thought they would just live forever like the space hamster, and then I found the button to clean out the dead fish. It was surprising when they all disappeared because they looked so alive in the tank...

I never wound up buying any fish for just this reason- I didn't want to cozy up to Kelly (just in case that impacted things later w/ Garrus) just so my fish wouldn't die. DH never could seem to keep his fish alive even though he fed them after every mission. Enh. Maybe next playthrough.
Also- I can't make the stupid sig thing work.
ETA: I made the signature work! It's a bloody miracle!

I KNOW RIGHT. This is the SR2 Normandy mark Awesome, Cerberus. If you can put a fish tank in my quarters, you can build an automatic feeder.
