Oh, re: the creepy turian assassin feeling up Tali in ME1. (I know this was umpteen pages ago) Just replayed that bit. Tali does not kill him. She blasts the salarian mercs, then joins you in the fire fight. In case anyone cares. Posted Image

Awesome. Now I can imagine one of my MaleSheps, who really hates guys like that creepy turian assassin, going all Renegade interrupt in that scene.

Tali: *shoots the salarians*
Shepard: *shoots the turian*
Everyone: *turns to look at Shepard, now out of cover, with guns aimed at him*
Shepard: ...I didn't think that far ahead. *proceeds to kill all the mercs anyway*

Too many hilarious images have been posted to comment on all of them. I think my favorite one is Garrus asking Shepard if they can provoke people just so they get to shoot them.

@Xsauce: ...Is Saren in your fanfic, with the ME2 crew? If he's been resurrected, that's my MainShep's dream come true. xD

So, about that Earthborn quest, is there a way for Shepard to just kill Finch without turning him in? Turning him in would work fine for some of my Earthborns, but some just wouldn't turn someone in to the cops... it's not their style. It seems a little strange coming from a former gang member too.

What's this bit about turning Finch in?  I don't "turn" him in, he just shows up when I say "Nevermind" and starts going on and on about how he's gonna use Shepard's past to blackmail her, blah blah *BANG*!

I shot him.  Seemed like the thing my Shep would do.  Also probably means I won't get an email. XD  Cause both Finch and the original prisoner are now no longer in communication, sorta speak. Oo

Garrus and his dad:

Just how I see it--maybe it's what I'm bringing to the table--but it's possible for people to live in the same house and still be worlds away on an emotional level.

You get parents and all they can talk about is how they expect great things from their kids, and how they have so much potential, and how they can't let the family down...but they've never bothered to listen to their kids, and anything the kid says that's different from what the parent wants is shot down hard, mocked, and then discarded.

You get the kid that tries so hard to earn their parent's love and always, always falls short of the mark, because they aren't and can't be the person the parent wants them to be. And when they try to become their own person, the parent takes it as a rejection, not only of the traditions and values the parent tried to teach them, but of the parent themselves.

I think there was a point where Garrus had to choose whether he wanted to spend his life in his father's shadow, trying hard to be his dad, or whether he wanted to make a break and *be Garrus*.

Depending on how rigid his dad is, it could get really ugly.

I've never very much liked the whole support thread thing to be honest... I mean sure it's great to have threads for characters you like but I feel as if it is dividing the community. It's like each support thread is it's own seperate clan. The members of the Tali clan (Tali-ban) keep peace with the Miranda clan (Miridians) but neither one dares to roam into the others thread lest all hell break loose. The Ash clan and Kaidan (Kaidanites) clan have long held a pact, but there is still a subtle rivalry among them. Then there is the Liara, Garrus, Samara, Thane and Jack clan... and perhaps even hints of the start of a Shiala clan. The last thing either wants is war.

I dislike that I basically have to "belong" to one of these clans or else I really have no sway on the forums... I have to belong somewhere or else people will not be interested in an in-depth discussion. Is it not possible for a person to like all or none of the squadmembers? It is dividing way the forum way too much IMO and is taking up the campaign quests and storylines forum which I would have thought would be reserved for actual questions about the story...

@Lady: Good point - but what else would you suggest? Having one place to speak about a specific character is nice to have. Granted there is some retarded rivalry and feuds, but I really don't expect much better from the internet.

And no, Kelly doesn't count. :bandit:

Incidentally, my main's spacer/sole survivor.

That's why I try and get out and visit the other character threads.

Should have be an option to have the poor girl decide what to do with her life if she wants to end it so bad. Being that screwed up means you don't really have much of a life ahead of you. I wouldn't have her shot, though (unless she starts aiming her gun at someone).

I believe in trying for life whenever possible, but I'll admit she has some very hard work ahead of her at the very least.

I was disappointed that I couldn't really bring up the Thresher Maws as Sole Survivor. My canon Shepard's face and spirit was weathered from those two torturous experiences. Both of them made him more ruthless than he once was - in many cases he's a supporter of an eye for an eye, understandably. But he's still a good person - just rather unforgiving at times.

I like that I have somewhere I can belong, but I agree it has gotten very divisive. In some of the character threads there's this very "us against them" attitude.:(

Why are the character threads in the campaign quests and storylines forum anyway? Shouldn't they be in the characters forum or is that "characters" as in "Shepards"?
