Eh, you don't need to worry so much about getting OT here...it never happens for long, anyway. This is interesting stuff.
And it can be made on topic by giving us hope that maybe something like that COULD be done for the turian language, were one of us so inclined. Maybe. Eh, fun to think about.
Well, you
could do a turian language if you really wanted to (though unlike quarians I imagine they have more than one active). Thing is, you'd have to play around with it in ways you don't have to with Khelish, based on what we know of quarian facial morphology (pretty close to human/drell/asari). For example, turians don't have
lips which means sounds like b, p, or m (among others) are likely unpronounceable for turians (though parrots do a pretty good imitation without). Similarly, the turians may use their mandibles to make sounds that a human couldn't replicate.
But, if you were dedicated enough and you were fine with the fact you yourself wouldn't be able to speak it properly, it
could be done.
Actually, we've also decided on the Tali thread that there are probably some subtleties of quarian speech that humans can't do either - there's a consensus over there that quarians have
two voiceboxes (it's complicated).
