...And Saren. And the turian councillor, and any other turian who talks to Shepard, like that store owner in ME2 who wants to name his firstborn after Shepard (if the original Council is still alive). Saren probably wouldn't respond well to dancing though.

@kglaser: I think a custom avatar is made with the Dragon Age character creator. I think you can download it somewhere on the forums, but that's all I know about it.

I used DA character creator to make a custom avatar. Can't remember the steps, but I used from here, Ray Joel Oh's comment, with a few tweaks.

kglaser, to make your custom avatar you need Dragon Age, or the Dragon Age Character Creator. Replace your character's avatar with the custom image (it has to be the same size and have the same name, however) and it should show up on the boards.

I missed the 800 mark because I was stuck in a movie theatre that was pummeled by hail as a tornado moved by (and my truck now has 10 large dents from it! Could be worse; other people in the parking lot had their windows and side mirrors literally shattered by the stuff) while trying to see "Iron Man 2". (I say "trying" because the power went out three times before theatre management FINALLY let us all leave... because the roof was falling in). Like I said before (however many pages back), I'd leave and go back north if I could already. Oh well, since I'm usually a lurker I guess I'll just have to see what happens at the 900 mark. (I apologize for the mini-rant about the RL stuff; that was just NOT how I planned on spending the afternoon!)

So I've settled down with some wine, caught up on my favorite thread and wonder:

Is it even possible to go in and redo the Horizon encounter with Kaiden so I can have Garrus punch his lights out? I'm still figuring out Texmod. I'm not a Kaiden hater per se, but the whole deal on Horizon SO annoys me. (And yes, I know it's the same if Ash shows up.)

Song I thought that would work well for the Garrus romance scene (possibly): "Song to the Siren" by This Mortal Coil. It's more of a "mood song" than anything, but I think it could work.

Grr, I just had a conversation with Kaidan in ME1 and DELIBERATELY picked ONLY neutral/lower-right-hand responses...and there was one choice where ALL 3 of the responses were flirting! I didn't have a choice!

Well, I'll shoot him down later. But still.

And meanwhile, I have to listen to Garrus give me the same fumbling "thank you" repeatedly. Well, it'll all be worth it in the next game, so I'm good.

I went through the same thing with Ashley - she asked if Shep was interested in and all of the respones were "yes" in different ways. Fortunately for me ME2's romances are much harder to accidental go into, and the player can break up with the romance interest whenever they want.

@kglaser: Well... my Shepard doesn't like that creepy turian assassin we discussed a few pages back (the one in Tali's ME1 recruitment), but I think that's it. She's not too fond of the ones who try to kill her either, but she still feels bad about seeing their bodies just lying there after the battle.

Also, I don't think you need DA:O to make a custom avatar, you just need to download the character creator.

Then I accidentally chose an option that started up the romance again, but I instantly reloaded and Shepard was alone in that scene where Joker calls her on the intercom.

...My MainShep wanted a turian male, which Kaidan and Liara are not. xD And my MaleShep wanted Tali.

When I was playing ME1 yesterday, it was the first time I noticed Refund Turian sounded like Garrus. It kind of surprised me because I thought Garrus was talking.

I accidentally stumbled into Liara's romance with my FemShep once. It wasn't pretty. Not that I hate Liara or anything, but when I said that I was interested in her, I meant that I was interested in getting to know her better because she was my first asari squadmate, kind of like she was interested in Shepard because he/she had valuable information about the Protheans in his/her head. I didn't mean I was interested in a relationship with her.

When she showed up before Ilos, I really went . Still went through with it, though, just to see what'll happen in ME3.

I found Liara as coming on to Shepard way too early, and her romance moved too fast. She's basically swooning over Shepard from the start. IMO they should have started the romance on the third conversation.

That's just it, though...I thought I WAS being
rude.  Grr, sometimes what the dialog wheel says and what comes out of

And yes Alexine, Refund Guy's turian shopkeeper dude was voiced by the wonderful Brandon Keener, who supplies Garrus with his completely irresistible (sp?) voice.

Fairly certain the reason why some humans and some turians dislike the other race is just because of the First Contact War, and partly because of how quickly humanity has grown in the galaxy.

Is Jacob's romance really that bad? Is it as bad as Kaidan's? (Although I do like Kaidan as a character, just that he seems a bit wimpy in his romance)

Not going to get an objective answer on that from me.  I've romanced Kaidan every time and liked it.  It's not that he's whimpy, it's that he's cautious.  Anyway, if you really want to know... ask me in the Kaidan thread.  This is Garrus' thread.  For whom Meghan Shepard left Kaidan.
