Fling or not a fling:

Cleverly disguised as one for all of ONE conversation, honestly.

After the "are we crazy for just thinking this?" discussion, it has moved beyond fling-age. Though I can't remember exactly in which order of the conversations he says the line about "if we wanted to share an intimate moment, we'd blow something up. Again." It's after the first convo I think? If you turn him down... I think? Gah, I'm still trying to wake up (I know, it's like 11am, but I don't have to work till noon!)

Anywhoodle, I'm a big fan of the friends turning lovers type relationships. They have the most possibilities for epic dramaz. Because if it's someone you just met, and know only a little about, and things turn out bad, meh. But this is like your bestest buddy ever. For the most part, the things he/she sees as "bad" aren't going to be, it's probably what made you friends in the first place. If things go right, discovering new things about each other makes it all the more awesome.

If it goes wrong though, awkwaaaaaaaaaard! And it has the added drama of you guys being best friends! Delicious drama!

Ray, I too hope they make us work a bit to keep the Garrus mance going in ME3. I mean, like it or not, Turians and Humans are still not the best of friends in the galaxy, and while RShep and RGar may not CARE... it's going to come up.

Should be very interesting. ^.^ Especially if there's another reporter I get to punch /evil glee

The pseudo-OP is updated with all the banners made by Xsause and I! It's now twice as long  If there's anything you think should be added, either post it in the thread or PM me. I can't update the code reference right now because the site has disappeared <_< I suppose that's the problem with administering a site owned by someone else... Hopefully it'll be back up soon.

I'm still looking for:

And about the fling thing. If you think that garrus's relationship is just a "fling", then you are horrible at reading people. I posted this a page ago but you can imagine what something like that would be in real life.

Special someone: I've just seen so many things go wrong, i just want something to go right. Just once...just

Null headed you: Oh my god are you just trying to have casual sex with me?

There relationship (sexual or otherwise) was never fleeting.  Each stood by each other through thick and then.  Changing the rules of the game or taking the next step in said relationship is normal.  Of all the people you could get to join you, Garrus was more than willing to join you no strings attached.

If we talk about romance progression, think of it this way.  There was a lot of thought that went into really deciding to go through with the deed on Garrus's part.  Trust and respect are a pretty solid foundation when it comes to relationships.

When it came down to the wire, he knew where his feelings were about Shep, as tumultuous as the journey was for him.  Feelings do have a tendency to get in the way of practicality.  Everything that he's ever worked for ended up failing in some form either by bureaucracy or maliciousness.

Shepard has been the only one who never judged him and even putting themselves in awkward vulnerable positions a la paramour makes his feeligs more cemented in him.

Not just him.  I'd say Shep deserves it by now, too.

So true even she states that she doesn't want to fight forever.  I'm pretty sure she's getting tired in more than one way.

After the Reapers are defeated, can just see Garrus and Shep locating a perfect planet that they can both comfortably inhabit and disappearing off the map forever.

I uh...don't think they would necessarily drop off the grid forever. Shepard is a spectre and has responsibilities and all that stuff.

You can tell her that it's great for her to have a job she enjoys so much, she says something about yours being exciting and the auto reply is, yeah, but I don't want to do this forever.

I read that without crying at all.  Does that mean I have no soul?

Yes.

Just kidding.  I didn't cry, but it took a great deal of will power.  It's not remotely how I picture Meghan and Garrus going out, but the author managed to wring emotion from me anyway.

I haven't even read it. Does that make me a non-die-hard Garrus fangirl? :P

As much as I think it would suck to watch from a self-proclaimed Garrus Fangirl, I think going out in a hail of bullets like Butch Cassidy and Sun Dance would be almost overly dramatic.  Way to star-crossed loverish...  Posted Image

I think some people make the mistake that because the dialogue option exists, the opinion contained within is canon. For instance, I don't tell Parasini about where I see Shepard going in the future. Perhaps my Shepard does plan on fighting the good fight until the very end.

Or Bonnie and Clyde.  The Grey Wardens are already doomed for that sort of ending.  I'd prefer something different for Shepard and Garrus.

*shrug* It's canon for their Shep.  Neither of mine want to keep up this pace, either, but they'll do what they have to do.

I keep trying to imagine Garrus as an old man and I can't quite do it.  Maybe he'll turn into Clint Eastwood when he's old.

OK, that just made me giggle.  But then, I also mentally stuck him on Kashyyk with Jolee Bindo's robes.

I can't imagine Garrus slowing down. He'll keep trying to fight injustice, even when he's old and immobile.

My Shep will retire after ME3. There are things more fun than saving the galaxy :P
