Oh...i found the translation to this song.

depressing song

Imagine garrus listening to this while hes depressed :(:

The Perpetual Journey

When I think of the perpetual journey through life
When it always feels like autumn
The wind moves slowly to the north
And the flowers die
Rain falls in my dreams

I must travel again and search for comfort
I must search again for the voice of tenderness
I must travel again to next autumn
The perpetual journey to next autumn

When I wander on the stony road through life
When it felt like I carried a sorrow
Then the sun hides slowly in the clouds
and [indisinct] goodbye
Soon the snow falls in my dreams

I must travel again and search for comfort
I must search again for the voice of tenderness
I must travel again to next autumn
The perpetual journey to next autumn
Oooo the perpetual journey to next autumn

I'm not sure if I've successfully shunned Liara, but Kaidan seems good and scared of me now. LOL...I don't think I will have more trouble with him, he's calling me MA'AM now. :P
Gonna go do a mission and come back and talk to Liara again, to make sure I dissed her good and proper.  Then have the Garrus conversation about the krogan testicles. LOL

I must have forgotten how annoying it is to drive the Mako over a mountain... Garrus probably has a lot of repairs to do, the whole squad is probably a bit shaken up from the flipping and falling, but when I found the building, it was worth it to hear my Shepard say, "It's not about money. It's about justice. Blood for blood." (Those may or may not be his exact words, but it's pretty close.) Now I know where Garrus learned the "eye for an eye" saying from, at least in this Shepard's playthrough. xD

The Mako will forever be known as The Barfmobile to me.

Concerning what class to take on Insanity in ME2, I've heard lots of people praising the Sentinel, because of their Tech Armour skill (basically extra shields which explode and stun nearby enemies when they run out). I did my Insanity run with a Soldier, because I was afraid the Infiltrator would be a little too squishy, but I still wanted to be able to snipe things. It works, but Adrenaline Rush doesn't beat Tactical Cloak. I don't know about the three other classes, but Adept and Vanguard sound pretty difficult on Insanity (one would need help to strip defenses, the other is just plain suicidal). Engineer...they look like they have pretty good skills (drone, Overload and Incinerate), but I've not really heard anything good about them in ME2.

@ Minardii: Ahh, Jacob's epic dying-fest on his LM. It wasn't too bad on Normal, but my Insanity run through that mission was basically me and Garrus dragging Jacob's dead body all over that island. Then it was me solo against the YMIR at the end, because I didn't want to waste my medigel...I swear, the cover in that section is HORRIBLE. I don't understand how they expect you to keep your squaddies alive there on Insanity.

But yeah, if you don't want Tali, or any other shotgun-wielding character to die, just switch them to their other weapon and micromanage their positioning. That last point is valid for all characters though: I've often had 'wtf' moments watching [insert name] suddenly go into Rambo mode, leave a perfectly good cover spot and run at the opposition with guns ablaze, only to get splattered. Even with position micromanaging, they still do that sometimes, but at least it helps. That being said, Tali's LM IS pretty brutal, especially on higher difficulties. The bit with the geth running up the stairs was one hell of an adrenaline rush.

The only time I really had a problem with squad mates dying was on the Collector Ship mission when those random flying platforms come w/collectors.

--

The Mako sucked and I hated it. It was tolerable on the main mission planets, but no where else.

The Cain can ease your pain Posted Image (bad rhyming! yaaaay!) No, seriously: even on Insanity, you can completely ignore the first collector wave if you nuke the scion as the two first platforms are moving in. Of course, you're then stuck without a heavy weapon for the rest of the mission (including the Praetorian), but it's probably the cheapest way to deal with those platforms.

Re: the music. The credits song in ME1 was awesome. But I must unfortunately admit that I can barely remember any of the ME2 themes...Maybe because I focus too much on combat? When exactly do you hear those Garrus' and Samara's themes people are talking about?

I thought the credit song in ME1 was fantastic. But the lyrics don't make sense unless you really try to make them. Nevertheless the credits were very powerful at the time.

But so was the ME2 credits.

I might speculate that the reason why we might remember the ME1 music more is because we had likely gone through ME1 more times than we've gone through ME2. Repetition is a great way for memorization.

And when you think about it, a lot of ME2's music is varied - you're going to hear unique themes for the recruitment and loyalty missions. The Normandy, the Citadel, and the other hubs have no music. Whereas in ME1 they did - and the player often revisited the Normandy, the Citadel, and the other hubs.

Garrus' Theme, Samara's Theme

I must be one of the only people who loved the Mako :P There's nothing quite like climbing to the top of the tallest peak you can find, raining death and destruction upon your enemies, then jumping down whilst trying not to hit anything. I think half the time in my first playthrough was spent just driving around.

I even bought the t-shirt! :P

ME2 credits were ruined by the fact that the music ran out about halfway through. Then it was just awkward silence.

At least DA:O looped the music. Not much, but something.

They definitely ran out halfway. I distinctly remember thinking that it was weird.

And thanks for the themes, Chimervera. I'll listen to them when I get home.

Just saw this on DeviantArt. It has Garrus as a kid! Also other stages in his life. It's pretty awesome.

Now that I've finished adding the banners, I'm starting on the motivationals. If you could post the Garrus or Garrus fangirl motivationals, I'd appreciate it. Also, if you have any of the missing Advice!Garrus' (or can remember how they went) please post them!

As for me being the next OP - I'd give it a go if you all want me to, but Eradyn compiled most of the OP, and I'd feel guilty for taking over without her blessing. I'm also not too good at taking the initiative; for anything other than banners, motivationals, and videos you'd probably have to state "this should be added to the OP" for me to realise :pinched::lol: But if you do want me to be the next OP, and Eradyn is okay with it, I'm rarely offline for more than 3 days and the only time you'd have to worry about me disappearing would be Oct-Nov when my final exams are. I don't think we need to make a decision before page 1,000 though :P Though if the thread got locked, I'd be in the wrong timezone to get it re-started within a decent time-frame.

To end on a less-serious note; while writing this, I have been drinking Mountain Dew.

I really love the music on Mordin's mission. The distant saxophone makes it all skeezy and noir. Garrus's music has a nice eerie foreboding. Who is that deadly sniper whose line of fire you are slowly approaching???

I wonder what made her think that garrus has a crush on shepard. He usually isn't an outgoing type of person, unless he might of brought it up somehow with a couple of people. Or maybe she is a stalker type and overheard him talking to himself.
Those pauses in Garrus and Shepard's conversations are when they think they can hear popcorn being eaten very closeby.
Zaeed as well. Kasumi uses stealth cloaking, Zaeed just turns on the monitors in the cargo hold. It's all very dubious, if you ask me. Posted Image (He seems to avoid actually commentiong on current affairs a little too much. It's suspicious. I'm convinced he's selling human/turian amature prono on Omega, ripped from the security cams. Think he might have teamed up with EDI and Joker to get multiple angles on that too.) The only difference is that Kasumi seems to have no problem telling people she's spying on them. Posted Image

(nb. I know He comments on stuff, but it's always "this reminds me of...". Never: this is what I think. lol)

Garrus music? ACDC was a good call. My Shep/Garrus listen to an ecclectic classic/cheesy rock mix. Shep insited on playing Final Countdown before the SM. The crew were less than amused.

After that question, I have images on Garrus doing the Jessical Biel 'getting ready for battle' montage from Blade 3. Sexy dancing, uploading music to his ipod, looking mean...

About Zaeed, that's not quite true. He comments about ongoing events as well: after recruiting Garrus, after recruiting Jack, after Jacob's LM, after Grunt's LM, after his own LM, after Horizon, after the Collector Ship and after the crew gets kidnapped.

I find it irritating that Zaeed pretty much always relates said comment back to "this reminds me of the time when..." Which is fine, I guess (excepting after the plot missions and his own LM - the outcome of which always pisses him off.lol) I mean, it's kind of the crux of his character. It's just without dialogue wheel I find interaction with him frustrating. Kasumi, not so much. I think that's because her comments are kind of 'fly on the wall' to do with the crew interactions. Zaeed simply seems to be on a mission to one-up Shepard, but won't engage her in conversation ,which (from a RP perspective) I find a bit suss. Posted Image But it's purely in the context of RPing the game. Obviously, him not really saying much of value is more an issue with him being a DLC character and the way BW has chosen to handle this. (And before I get shouted down for not being a fan of Zaeed's dialogue, this is just IMO. I'm not 'dissing'  him. At least, not trying to. Subjectivity win. Posted Image)

It's OK. She also played 'Don't Fear the Reapers' on the O-4 approach. She keeps morale high. Posted Image
