Download Fraps. It's free for taking screenshots. ME1 had a screenshot button, it was F8 F9 F10... one of those I guess. ME2 doesn't have one, I use Fraps for that.

And I use FRAPS for my movies/Screenshots.  Haven't found any other capture program that does better ^.^

I keep meaning to take a break to try out Red Dead Redemption but I keep finding a reason to keep playing ME2 for the nth time.  And ya know--Garrus.

My new sentinel Pris Shepard gets to romance Garrus.  Yay!  ME3 love triangle here I come.  I'm gonna be kind of bummed if the 'cheating' is glossed over.  I demand action--errr, confrontation!

Hmm, for the confrontations, I don't think I could handle seeing it myself without getting saaad, but I'll definitely read about others confrontations! I've decided to make my first Shep Allison my Loyal to Kaidan Play-through, and replay a romance-less ME1 char for myself. I used Masseffectsaves for my other ME1 romance-less plays, and thought I'd like to raise a char of my own for that after the wipe!

I'll have a triangle Shepard... which is funny... since Garrus specifically says that's what he DOESN'T want while romancing Shepard. But if you left Kaidan for him.... isn't he in one anyway?

And I agree Col, I really didn't like how fast they were to call it cheating, despite the deaths and so on, I suppose. Gave me a bad taste in my mouth

For Ashley and Kaidan, (at least the latter) I don't think it's cheating. Shepard didn't experience the two years of his/her death but the Horizon event basically either ended the relationship or left it as "maybe we'll be together again." For Liara though, it would be cheating because there's no indication of breaking it off.

I would have liked a little more discussion with the ME1 interest about it, rather than leaving it so up in the air, but we'll see how they pull this together. After talking to Kelly and Joker, I took it as a sort of "Yeah, it's pretty much over", but I guess others felt else-wise.. The letters, quite interesting.



And with Liara.. Yeah, I don't envy those who romanced her, then chose someone else! Ha~!

I don't call it cheating.  As far as both Sheps are concerned it's over.  One of them just hasn't been able to get over him, that's all.  There's no relationship there, just the potential for a mess.

The other one is rather unforgiving and moved on.  But, since you can't reply to the email, it leaves the relationship with the Virmire survivor in that murky grey area of maybe kinda sorta....

Well, it may not be cheating as far as Kaidan/Ash is concerned, but since Shepard didn't experience those two years, I don't see him/her realistically moving on to an ME2 LI that quickly. Would make me think that he/she is using the LI in question as a rebound.

And sorry to be bringing this back up again, but for all those who got caught by Garrus: he has to be in the final team for that to happen, yes? I know he has to be on the team if you're catching him, but does he have to be on the team as well if he's catching you?

Yes.


As far as the rebound... it's possible... but I don't think of my Shep who left Kaidan as rebounding to Garrus.  It's more like her friend was there to catch her when the ground was unsteady under her feet.  (And boy if that isn't a poetic tie in to the question above...)

I've not yet managed to get Garrus to catch me. On my last game (where my Femshep stayed true to Kaiden), I had Garrus and Miranda with me. Miranda was caught and then did the catching. I wonder if it's done in order of squishiness or something.



Thanks for the tip re: Fraps. I thought I couldn't be that stupid to miss a screenshot button - lord knows I've been playing PC games for over 20 years now!

I suppose that's true Nifa, for one it's been two years, for the other, whatever time it took at horizon, and whatever information you gleaned about the romance that wasn't covered up. You think they would have talked more about it when they met! Ah, I guess that's why they left it so open though, to allow people to imagine what they did about it.. Until ME3, where they give you quite the surprise with a confrontation.



I would think so, only those with you will catch you. I joked about how Garrus and I were the "bestest buddies ever" since we caught each-other, despite Thane being there with me!

I guess it depends on how serious your particular Shepard was about the ME1 relationship in the first place.  The relationship was just starting out, it's possible they had really fallen for eachother, but it's also possible Shep was just interested but not fully invested or "in love" yet.  And assuming the mission in ME2 takes place over the course of several months (??) I could see Shep moving on if she thought the relationship with the ME1 LI was over.

I must be one of the only people who loved the Mako There's nothing quite like climbing to the top of the tallest peak you can find, raining death and destruction upon your enemies, then jumping down whilst trying not to hit anything. I think half the time in my first playthrough was spent just driving around.

I even bought the t-shirt!

I too. :happy:  In fact, there wasn't anything I didn't love about the first game.  I think I might be completely unique on that one.  But I also loved virtually everything about the second, as well, even though it's quite different.  (The things I didn't love were little nitpicky things.)

a kid! Also other stages in his life. It's pretty awesome.

Holy heck that first one with the face paint is possibly one of the cutest damn things I've ever seen..The rest is also really, really good drawing.  Thanks for sharing! <3
