I thought the hunt for Saren took about a six months to a year, given travel times and your side quests. After all, the travel time between systems is not instantaneous like it is with the Relays.

At first I was confused by the question, but then I realized that you could run for the Normandy with both the squadmates from the final battle dead. Then you'd have someone who was holding the line catch you, but if I can't figure out the formula for the squadmates that go into the final battle with you, no way am I figuring that scenario out.

Now I'm curious how long the timeline for ME2 is supposed to be...

I can see both sides using Kaidan as an example.  My first playthrough Shepard stayed faithful to Kaidan, on Horizon he gives his big "I loved you" speech and then with Kelly you can say you still care about him.  With my "cheating" playthrough (blech let's call it moving-on)--with my moving-on playthrough I gave him the renegade response ("I was dead can't get into it") and he completely skips the "I loved you" speech and it seems very impersonal.  Then with Kelly you can say "Nothing much to say, the past is the past."

I hated hated that you couldn't talk more on Horizon.  The whole thing seemed pretty open to interpretation IMO especially since there was so little
content.  Maybe that was the point?

To keep it on topic, "moving-on" Shepard moved on to Garrus

For Ashley and Kaidan, (at least the latter) I don't think it's cheating. Shepard didn't experience the two years of his/her death but the Horizon event basically either ended the relationship or left it as "maybe we'll be together again." Well, it may not be cheating as far as Kaidan/Ash is concerned, but since Shepard didn't experience those two years, I don't see him/her realistically moving on to an ME2 LI that quickly. Would make me think that he/she is using the LI in question as a rebound.

Well we don't know how long the events of ME2 were so we don't really have a time frame to reference to. It could be months after Horizon that Shepard actually gets into a relationship with the ME2 LIs. Not really an issue for me as I didn't romance anyone in ME1 anyway.

And sorry to be bringing this back up again, but for all those who got caught by Garrus: he has to be in the final team for that to happen, yes? I know he has to be on the team if you're catching him, but does he have to be on the team as well if he's catching you?

He needs to be fighting alongside you against the human reaper. A lot of people have varying accounts but for me whoever was in the second "slot" was the person who fell but also caught Shepard.

Time in games are usually messed up. For example in DA:O if you go first to the Circle and recruit Wynne, at camp she says something about how almost a year passed since you left the Circle if you play as mage. I was "Wow, I just got out of Ostegar and from that sorry village and it took me a year?". Just imagine how many years you waste for each major quest. Ferelden really needs horses.

That's just Light Colossus though. Medium Colossus looks MUCH better on Garrus. It's got a lot more black, and the red is darker.

And yeah, I guess we don't know anything definite about how long ME2 takes. But to me, there was a sense of urgency about the Collector threat which made me think that the storyline couldn't realistically drag on for months. And I guess you do have leeway in how you respond to Kaidan on Horizon. It's just that, the way I played the romance in ME1, it made sense to me that the Horizon response should be an emotional one.

At least it's not pink.  But, you are not alone.  I didn't like any of the light turian armor.  My favorites:
Phantom armor aka Nihlus
Medium Thermal armor
