He told him? I don't remember that. I remember he pulled a knife on him, but I don't remember that.

If I'm remembering correctly he wanted Kaidan to try harder and he keep egging him on and we all know how that ended.Ragabul the Ontarah wrote...

And if Kai's calling me Ma'am, does that mean I'll not get the turian biotics instructor killing story since I shot him down already? I's so confused....

As for Ash and her xenophobe tendencies... it's in her family. It'll probably be something that's apart of her for life. Unless they wrote in like one of the alien crew saving her life, MAYBE she'd have a change of heart, but I just don't see it for her.
Renegade also tends to be the xenophobe morality, but I've never played it that way. Ever. "I love aliens!"

Raga, as per your Wo'T:
I agree. I like the threads. I don't really care about this "group think" mentality. It makes it easier for me to search for stuff knowing that the threads are around. I'm not one to get easily butt hurt over like minded people being so, and grouping together. It's human nature.
Negative things about Garrus: Yea, he's impulsive. And it can be detrimental. But it can also be the path of inconsistency, and while I know my Shep is notoriously that, it's not a good thing. But I guess I can't call it a negative thing, cause I kinda like that about him.
Hrm... I guess he needs a hobby. Are there people out there that the job is life? Maybe it's I don't get that mentality... and I don't know if that can be a bad thing...
I'm not trying to say that Garrus is perfect. He's not. No one's perfect. But his imperfections are deal-able. Maybe being married for (almost) five years has helped me moderate my BS meter or acceptance of things (oh compromise!) but I have a hard time pinning down negative things on Garrus, other than the obvious design flaws (calibrations FOREVA /cry).
There, it's a mini WoT, but it's a WoT!

I don't recall much about the conversation at all, just that it was a biotic kick that wiped the turian out.
Edit: Oh, nice find KG! Those poor broken birds.. /image of garrus trying the pizzaman line.. (But yeah, that's jsut awesome, lol).

Were we talking about scars earlier?
I have this love/hate relationship with scars.
I love seeing them. They could be horribly disfiguring, but usually, there's always a kickass story to go with them (be it positive or negative.)
And then there's my inner Fianna (beware, geek alert) who's like YOUR SOUL IS UNCLEAN! /Monkey Finger
But I have to say: Garrus (and Zuko) scar = /swoon
It makes him one damn unique turian, and still makes him (in my eyes) a dead sexy one.
I have to say too, I find the ones with the longer, swooping fringes to be more attractive than those with the shorter.
The two turians from Samara's LM, in the Afterlife VIP room also had a very awesome facial structure that was swoonable. And Nihlus is purdy.
This has me wondering now... I wonder if there are fat turians? Or what would an "unattractive" specimen of any of the species in the ME 'verse would look like? Do Turians even have a "fat" layer? Would crusty plates or a strange skin/plate color be something that other turians would find as a turn off? What about malformations?
Oh and hey, I can add Keepers to the list of Three fingers...

As for fat, I think a lot of that might go into that hump on their back. I don't think that's all bone or gristle. I think that might work sort of how it does for krogan.

Ah well, if it gets too annoying, I'll just hop down to Hardcore. XD
I don't mind trying something once, but I've figured I'd spice things up with something different. Harder combat seemed to be it. XD
And you know, i've never seen a comic about Nihlus... plenty of fic... but no comics.

Ashley's comments indicate ignorance rather than truly racism/xenophobia. She's lived among humans all her life, her tours of duty have kept her in human space. What she knows of aliens are what the Turians have done to Shanxi, how the Alliance teaches soldiers to fight aliens, what she sees on the human-centric news. She brings those impressions with her. Wrex shoots Fist? Proves the stories that krogans are just mindless killing thugs. The Turian Councilor's resistance in believing the claims that Saren, a turian, is a traitor? Shows turians will stick by each other at the cost of human lives. Every stereotype that Ashley sees is amplified.silentstephi wrote...

However, look at Pressly's datapad among the Normandy wreckage. Here was someone equally distrustful of aliens, but after spending some time with them, he changes his tune to say he'd gladly give his life for any of them. Ashley volunteers to be a liason with the salarians on a distraction team where high casualties are expected: she's putting her life and trust in their hands.
Actually, time with that STG unit shows some of Garrus's own prejudice, where he admits he's quick to dismiss salarians as actual soldiers. (Though not that particular STG.) And we're talking two species that have worked together for over a thousand years.
Not only that, but if you're a male Shepard romancing Ashley, you can actively change Ashley's mind about aliens. I actually thought it was a pity that it was only something you can do if you romanced her. What, friends can't offer a bit of persuasion on various viewpoints?
I don't know, I've personally experienced racism, and Ashley does not fit that bill. I've also seen people get extremely curious about my culture, suddenly asking me if people do such and such in that culture, not realizing just how racially charged and stereotypical their perceptions and questions are. But it's a different culture, they've never experienced it, they honestly don't know any better. Perhaps that experience makes me forgive quite a lot about Ashley.
Garrus, however, should have known better than to underestimate the salarians. That should be some universal rule right up there with never starting a land war in Asia.
