Actually, I thought about it, but figured it'd just be spam. I've avoided the thread as a whole like the plague because I find the concept leads too easily to character bashing.

I also agree that Wrex probably doesn't like Garrus very much. In fact, Shepard's probably the only member of the ME1 he can truly call a friend, because he/she's probably the one he respects the most.

As for feeling comfortable with ME1 teammates, Kaidan, Tali and Garrus would be on my list, in that order. Wrex I'm a bit on the fence with. Yes, he's awesome banter material, and Shepard doesn't have to take gloves with him, so to speak, but in the end, some of his views clash strongly with my Shep's views, and it does take a while to gain his complete trust.

I don't like Garrus, but only my first post was (more or less) serious

EDIT: Apparently male chickens are not allowed on BioWare's forums. I can sort of see why though.

As aforementioned I don't really think there will be any fights possibly unless they involve Jack. The only way non-Jack confrontations (hopefully) may result in a fight would be if someone made an off color remark or said something that was misinterpreted by the other and things just escalated from there. Not that I need to worry. No ME1 LI ftw.

I can see why people would sympathize with Morinth. I can even see a few arguments for betraying Samara, even though I think even Renegade!Shepard's chances are better with Samara.

But empathizing with Morinth, feeling she's in the right, I can't see. I will never understand why some people feel that way.

The argument for empathizing with Morinth seems to be that she's not responsible for her genetic condition, and it's thus unfair to try to punish her for something over which she has no control. It's also unfair to try to force her into seclusion because of it. Of course, those people completely disregard the fact that her genetic condition isn't the only determining factor in Morinth's personality. Her sisters have the same disorder as her, yet they're content to not act on it. Morinth chose to kill. It might have become an addiction later down the line, but her initial, voluntary choice was to embrace her violent urges. She's a serial killer on a power trip: genetic condition or no, that's not ok. Killing her may appear excessive, but putting her in prison or on trial just runs the risk of her seducing her way out. She did enslave a whole village, after all.

Even a Renegade Shepard must understand that having Morinth on the team is not a safe choice. Yes, Samara might go after a Renegade Shepard after the mission's over, and that's quite a hefty problem, but Morinth doesn't even wait that long. Shepard's only saving grace is that he/she's able to willingly resist her, and she's thus deterred from trying anything on any of the other squadmates. Otherwise, the Normandy would've emptied out long before the Collectors came along. But who's to say that, with enough persuasion, Morinth won't get her way in the end? Overall, I'd say that the Samara/Morinth choice is pretty much a no-win situation for a Renegade Shepard.

It helps that I didn't like any of the ME1 LIs as romances for male Shepard.

Your choice. For what it's worth, I'm not doing that either. The first time and second time I went through the game I didn't romance anyone.
