If Garrus was for some reason made an option for both (and I agree with you all, I don't think he should be), I would just have FemShep romance him. In my current playthrough of DA:O, which got put on hold so I could play more Mass Effect, my female Warden is going to romance Zevran. In a later playthrough of ME1, I'll have a MaleShep who romances Liara. If the option is there, I just don't use it.

It's interesting how many Garrus fans also like Alistair. xD I don't really care for him. Maybe Garrus is like the midpoint between Alistair and Saren... and I just like characters who range between Garrus and Saren, while most Garrus fans seem to like characters who range between Garrus and Alistair?

When I played DA:O, I just about tried every possible romance path out of curiosity, with male and female characters (not with all origins, but that doesn't really matter). I had a male dwarf who romanced Zevran (did it for the lulz), and a female elf who romanced Leliana.

Like has already been said, I can't honestly see Garrus being bi with the way he's written. If he was a romance option for male Shepard, however, I'd still try a romance with him out of curiosity.

I'm doing a Romance-Nobody-And-Pine-For-Garrus ME1 playthrough right now in preparation for a Garrusmance in ME2 with a vanguard. I wish there was an option if the PC is confronted by Kaidan and Liara for a choice to say, "You're both crazy! I'm only interested in Garrus." =P

I wouldn't care if Garrus was bisexual to begin with (just wouldn't romance him as Male Shepard, not my style), but since he already has a romance, changing his orientation would be tacky and just bad. The same goes for every other character that has a romance.

I did discover an unintentional use for Garrus' sound files from ME1 today (y'know, the uh, "naughty" ones): if you play them loud enough when you're on the phone with someone you don't really want to talk to, and you put the sounds on a loop, that pesky person (in this case, one of those "friends" who only calls when they have bad news) suddenly thinks that you are uh, "being calibrated" and quits the phone conversation in a hurry! I figure I can use this on telemarketers too!

Ah, Garrus, lifesaver to fangirls everywhere (with and without his sniper rifle).

On an unrelated note: since this is basically the only forum thread that I pay attention to, I may as well ask in this one if anyone else thinks Shepard's military background would include parajumping (even in 2185). Not from an orbiting spacecraft, mind (I know better), but from a shuttle, jet, what have you. I ask because of a story I'm working on that has such a scene, but I can scuttle it if it's improbable. I think it could be plausible, given that she's special forces and all of that, but I can see why others would disagree. Also, do you think other races would do that? (Volus and hanar, obviously not, but turians and maybe even asari commandos possibly.)

@battlechantress: I don't really know what the Alliance training involves, but I checked the Mass Effect Wiki (masseffect.wikia.com/wiki/Alliance - scroll down to Military Doctrine) and it does say this - "Their military doctrine is not based on absorbing and dishing out heavy shocks like the turians and krogan. Rather, they bypass enemy strong points and launch deep into their rear, cutting supply lines and logistics, destroying headquarters and support units, leaving enemies to 'wither on the vine'." It sounds like a possibility considering their strategy.

My current playthrough is a combination of the two. Vanguard MaleShep who's only interested in Tali.

That is one of Jack's best scores he has ever done, he also did jump drive, crash landing and end run

That he was surprised that Jack is not that popular and that she is very coimplex and intrrsting, then says miri was simple, and hints that she was made just for sex. I am a die hard Miri fan, and alot of us miri fans are not happy right now.

It's good to see he said something nice about Garrus tho

Given how hard Miri is to kill during the suicide mission, I find that rather surprising.  (No, I don't hate her and certainly don't go out of my way to get her or anyone else killed, but she's definitely not as "squishy" as, say, Mordin.)  I think they made Jack a little *too* rough and tough for a lot of people's tastes (given what she's been through, I certainly find her believable, but I understand why she's hard to warm up to).  I guess they really weren't expecting Garrus to be Mr. Popular.  

(And now, let's hope BioWare gives us a slightly happier ending in ME3 than what they gave us with DA:O.  I'm not expecting perfect sunsets and fields of flowers and bunnies, and certainly no "MUTANT BABIES, GARRUS!", but geez!)
