Somewhat OT, sorry, but that Paragon/Renegade talk reminded me: The other night I played through the part of ME1 where you have to talk to that admiral outside the Normandy and for the first time I actually got to use the blue and red options to get almost all the way to the end of the conversation without making him upset. He ended up saying something like his report wouldn't be as negative as he'd planned, but I still failed the final check. I don't even know what those blue and red options said. Is it even possible to make him happy with his report? LOL

Nah, even if you meet the final check, he still says that his report won't be as negative as planned. He just insists on being huffy until the end: he can't accept being wrong, or being one-upped by a lower-ranking officer.

@ Sialater: Ah, that would be why. The Jack vs Miranda fight seems to have a particularly high percentage check, which is why you need to do it ASAP to have more chances of meeting the check. Unlike the Legion vs Tali one, it seems.

The Death Mask is a helmet you can buy on Tuchanka. It raises your morality percentages while you wear it, ie. makes it easier to meet checks. Try buying it and see if it works?

As for the paragon/renegade part for Miranda/Jack fight, you stop it at a pretty early so that it would work. If you've left it to later on, maybe try to earn paragon points through the cheat method to get it high enough?



I've never had a problem with it either.

I know.  I've just been able to do it this way every single other time.  Maybe it's because it's hardcore or something. I don't know.  I may just delete this game and start over.

How do you stop the fights late? Don't you just go there as soon as EDI or whomever notifies you that there's a fight? Is it even possible to wait?

If you wait to long to do there personal missions, it is psoeable for the bug to happen.

I know.  The thing is, I've done it this way in my two other previous games, and I don't vary.  It's just annoying that the bug got me this time. 

And since it's the Thane game, I can't even go cry on Garrus' shoulder because he's calibrating.

I always do Jack's loyalty mission as soon as I'm able and do Miranda's loyalty mission right before grabbing the Reaper IFF. It's worked well for me so far, I've been able to break up the fight every time.
