I woke up to silly. ^.^
And cupcakes. And mountain dew. And... ok, I can understand the Egyptian thing to a point, but honestly, every time I see something from that pantheon... I think Star Gate. Can't help it.
The sharper images of Garrus face seem to be if you you get rid of that bloom effect maybe? I dunno, I did a side by side on my screenies (sooo many) and it looks less shadowed on my end.
My 'puter is ticking me off lately... it's going on 4 years old and showing it's age /beats motherboard.
So, other than the new Overlord DLC... I wonder what's coming after that. I wasn't interested in the Darkspawn thing... honestly... anything that's AU like that, and where I'd have to kill the Wardens/Al makes me go..."Erm... no." doesn't really hold my interest.
But anything ME related (sans the freakin' armor packs) then sigh me up! Want mooooooore! I'm almost done with this PT. No more loyalties to do other than Leigons. Nyar!

I never saw it as cheating, I see it as moving on. I've been dead for two years, and I know it probably felt like a couple of months to Shepard, but for the rest it depends on how you play your Shepard. My relationship with Liara is over. To me, at least. You don't get the opportunity to break it off, so she can interpret this however she wants. I don't think this will make Garrus less loyal. He was there on the first Normandy when I was romancing Liara, he was there when I first saw her on Illium and he saw the kiss. BW probably didn't think of possible consequences of having your 'future' LI in your party when you meet her, but he should know about this. It's likely we'll get a confrontation in ME3 with both your LI's, but for Garrus, the mission comes first. It depends on what you choose. If you dump him, it might hurt him, but he will never leave because he knows what has to be done. If you choose him, the romance will (hopefully) continue.
I hope the paragoning/renegading thing with Garrus really pays off in ME3, but I don't know what to expect. We don't know what will happen, so I have no clue how this influence will show, except for the epilogue. Renegading Garrus might result in him becoming a Spectre in the end, but he will never go rogue like Saren in a way that he (and maybe Shepard) will be hunted by another Spectre. Spectres are above the law, but you have to do some real mean **** to get in trouble.
Paragoning Garrus might get him back into C-Sec.
I certainly agree that being consistent with paragoning/renegading him could help him decide where his place is in the galaxy. He is a very impulsive and passionate person, so neutral responses won't really guide him. He has learned a lot during ME1 and ME2 (and ME3 I guess), let's see him put this to practice. Well, I hope he learned a lot.
And Garrus betraying Shepard? Not in a million years. He hated Sidonis' guts for doing what he did, he's not going to do the same to the person he respects most. Unless BW pulls some lame trick.
I know this is from a few pages back, but I am catching up this morning. I couldn't agree more about Kaidan and Garrus. If the writers wanted us to feel every last aching bit of Shepard's heart being trampled into tiny squashed pieces on Horizon, they did it. I had a lump in my throat for the poor girl. The way she's just left standing there after being called a traitor is just sickening. And I really, really like Kaidan in ME1. But he loses faith in Shepard, clearly, as if he's never known her, and Garrus not only stands by her side but defends her if he's included in the Horizon squad. It couldn't have been more clearly a breakup to me. My Shepard says, "Goodbye, Kaidan." That gal's heart is really broken. I can just see Garrus putting a hand on her shoulder to comfort her as he stands beside her there.
Then there's this perfect realization that happens at one point. Hey. This Garrus fellow has been her best friend, the one that trusted her instinctively because no one knew her better than him. And hey again, she never goes anywhere without him. Maybe it's because Garrus is... (with apologies to Neo) THE ONE! It makes sense. Shepard gets hit upside the head with the cartoon frying pan.

And the significance of that is that he is a turian and shepard is a human, and that he had a father who was preaching to him how bad spectres are. I find it almost amazing that he follows almost anything you.

How many more dialogues does that mean exactly?Having more chances to talk to him would be great. Is his romance more like Jack's? I mean, you can only find out more about -him- if you're romancing him? And about his awkwardness, is it like Alistair was in DA:O? I don't really want to watch it on youtube first, I'd rather not spoil it for myself. I did watch Jacob's and Thane's, but that was because I knew after the first conversation that I'd never romance either of them (I do love Thane as a character though, Jacob not so much). With Garrus I'm not sure, because I might try it out myself.
You get to see a totally different side of Garrus. It's awkward, but very funny, and very touching in the end. I'd say, give it a go, and let us know what you thought about it
I'll probably do that. I like funny and touching. And I guess since it's Garrus, I might even like it as much or even more than the bromance (which is so good, just too few dialogues). I'll definitely get back when I get around to it. And thanks for the spoilerfree help/info

But I have some AU Shepards that are going for the Jerry Springer show. Should be fun ^.^ Or interesting to say the least. I think depending on the people involved, violence might happen. But between Garrus and Kaiden? Nah. Liara and Garrus should be interesting though. Is she going to get all Benezia on you for rejecting her? Or will she understand... since she kind of creeps Shepard out... and well... he's a turian. >.>

-.-
Btw, if there was a character that I could almost, alllmost model my Shepard after, it'd be Mary Shannon (Shepard!) from In Plain Sight.
I
She's a bit more on the Paragon side though than my Shepard.
And if you don't know or don't watch In Plain Sight... you're totally missing out.

My husband pulled an "I told you so". He did, in fact, call it from day one, though, so I guess he get some gloating rights. Wasn't expecting it to be so.....glowy, ya know?
I didn't bother making predictions, but they lost me at the nuke, but I kept watching, just for the characters.. (Pun intended.)
But Vampire Garrus! Ack!

Now if only they'd come out with the RPG book... /coughcough
Though admittedly, for the situation that they're paralleling... it makes me wonder what they've got in store for 3... how many of our "allies" are already going to be in fighting (the turians with themselves, the geth/quarians, krogan/corps, etc)
