In case it wasn't clear, my Shepard does like Garrus because of his personality. It's just that, if he wasn't a turian, she would only think of him as a friend, because she's only attracted to turians. Does that make sense? xD

@kglaser: I've never heard of the play, but I thought that "you didn't really mean it when you said you'd space him" line was pretty funny.

I think more people would get "12 Angry Men" than you might think (I'm one of them). I say: go for it.



That thread on "sexiest characters in ME" went bad fast. Now I remember why I generally just keep up with this and this alone.



Amara Shepard, who did romance Garrus (the other probably will, just haven't gotten that far yet) did so because Kaidan did a good job of hurting her/pissing her off on Horizon. Garrus is pretty much the only person in her life who "gets" what's going on and doesn't judge her on the basis of who she ended up having to be employed by (because dead Spectres don't qualify for food stamps. Or something ). That and, over time, she realized that they had a lot more in common than differences (excluding the physical stuff, because that's obvious and can't be avoided).



As for saving/destroying the Collector base, neither Nikora or Amara saved the base (Garrus didn't get a say when Amara was setting up the bomb, though. Wouldn't matter; she'd do it anyway). Cerberus using Reaper tech for ANYTHING doesn't sit well with them (even though Amara was a Renegade in ME1, she reevaluated things and went a generally more Paragon route in ME2). Both remember Sovereign's words about how they left stuff behind to essentially trap the races that came along and used them, so there's no way they'd chance it. Miranha Shepard may go ahead and save it when she gets there, though (just to be different). (Miranha was named after a Black Sabbath song, weird as that may seem, if you cared to know.)



I was thinking about ol' Kelly Chambers while I was watching TV (uh no, not in THAT way!) and wondered: if she'd actually bothered to DO something useful (besides scan my incoming mails, flirt with/ try to sleep with the entire crew, bring scale itch on the Normandy, and stand at her terminal even longer than Kaidan stood at his on the SR-1), do you think Jack would still be hellbent on blowing up a deserted building? Maybe she could've done more to deal with her deep- seated and blatantly obvious psychological issues. Think maybe she could've helped Thane track down his son (since most of that loyalty mission is running around a freaking catwalk)?



On second thought, Kelly's level of competence is probably on par with a golden retreiver. No wonder Shepard had to spend hours schlepping across the galaxy to deal with this stuff. Garrus probably would've shot her instead of Sidonis on the Citadel.

I was considering Alice in Wonderland, with Garrus as Alice, but that would be creepy as hell.

But any suggestions?

12 Angry Men.  My favorite play, ever.  Hell, you got 12 squaddies.  One of them racist, one of them just wants to get out and see the ball game, one trying to keep peace...Case closed, it's the perfect choice

12 angry men will always have a special place in my heart. First play I ever had a leading role in! =)

@silentstephi: If my current MaleShep doesn't choose the space port over the colony, my next Shepard will. My first Shepard saved the colony, and I haven't decided yet which one of my Shepards I'll play next, but the three I've narrowed it down to are more Renegade. This MaleShep is probably more likely to save the spaceport though.

1. It's just a movie that does not exist yet
2. The sig disappeared for reason that escape me. All I have left is my Godzilla and Noble Team sigs.

I was just reading that thread about the Mass Effect movie. xD

I wouldn't mind if it's based on the games. I have so many different Shepards planned out, it wouldn't bother me if movie Shepard is different too because I have no personal "canon" Shepard. I would much rather see a Mass Effect movie that's not based on the games though, just because I'd like to see something new and get even more information about the universe/other characters. I'd like to see a movie about the First Contact War... but that probably won't happen.

Just as long as it's NOT Shepard.

Make it a Spectre, make it pre- Reapers, make it ANYTHING BUT a remake of the games.

They have a rich enough universe, it COULD be done.

Just don't tell Shepard's cannon story.

The fact that there isn't really a cannon story makes things all that more awesome. By cannonizing anything... you take away from the games.

So I'm all for a movie... just not Shepard's.

If it done right then you have nothing to worry about ( Transformers, Batman, DOA, etc) and if its bad who gives a ****. Also its being made by Legendary Pictures ( The Dark Knight, 300, Watchmen ) so there should be nothing to worry about.
